Latreasa Goodman of Fort Pierce, Florida called 911 three times to report that she ordered a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from McDonald’s, and she did not receive her McNuggets or a refund. She was placed under arrest by Florida police for misusing the 911 system.
Latreasa Goodman ordered a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets in a McDonald’s in Fort Pierce, Florida and was informed that, sadly, there were no McNuggets left. Ms. Goodman then asked for a refund, but was allegedly told by the McDonald’s manager that she could not get her money back, and would have to order something else from McDonald’s vast menu.
In Ms. Goodman’s defense, McDonald’s probably should have refunded her for her purchase when she could not get what she ordered. She had a right to be miffed about not getting her McNuggets.
However, what Latreasa Goodman did next was inexcusable. She called 911 three separate times over the incident. Yes, THREE times! Each time she called 911, she explained to the 911 dispatcher her dramatic “emergency.” Latreasa Goodman was told during her first call that a police officer had been dispatched to talk to her about the incident.
The police arrested Ms. Goodman when they arrived for misusing the emergency call system. 911 is NOT for minor incidents like not getting your McNuggets. It is for life-or-death emergencies.
McDonald’s apologized to Latreasa Goodman for the incident, stating that she should have received a refund and/or McNuggets.
Latreasa Goodman (OF COURSE!) has hired counsel and is planning to sue, according to Associated Content. God Bless America!
McDonald’s 911 Call

OMG. Folks this is where we are headed. This lady is dumber then a McNugget. I am really surprised she did call Barry In charge.
Yes she should have been given her money back, but have you been to a McTacoKing lately. These are not the sharpest knifes in the lamp.
I was in an Arby’s a few months back and ordered a coffee. It was old and cold. I ask them to make some fresh. The kid behind the counter said they don’t make it there. It comes on the truck with the other supplies and all they do is heat it up. I just looked at him and could not believe what I just heard him say. Rather then explain to him that on occasion, I go through the drive-thru in the mornings and get coffee and actually see them make it there, I just asked for my money back. You would have thought I asked the kid to kiss me. He had to go and fine someone that know how to do that and then it took 3 people.
Do we wonder why we are losing jobs to overseas. We have people that have never been taught any common sense approach to work.
This lady was treated wrong, but calling 911 is just a sign that you are STUPID.
You ask for the manager. If not there, you get the name and ask when will they be in and then come back or call.
She will probably win a lawsuit.

If somebody is ignorant they can be taught but stupid is forever. Just face it-we are going to have to care for her and her ilk all their lives.

No need to say that McDonalds was definitely wrong in not giving her money back, but people like this don’t have a clue that an open line for emergencies is what 911 is all about.
The ACLU might refuse to represent this woman – and it’s bad when even the ACLU won’t take your case.
Of course, the ACLU may have already accepted her “complaint.”

Talk about a sense of entitlement! Have mercy!
I’ve learned that when ordering at a drive through it serves just as well to just tell them how many people need food. For instance, ‘there are two of us’ or ‘I’m taking home food for four’. You have just as good a chance of getting what you want as you do if you order actual meals from the menu.
These are the facts of life with fast food. The sooner we accept it the quicker we can move on without frustrating ourselves expecting it to be something it can never be.

Now, there’s a craving! Had she called 411 instead, they would have given her the closest McDonald’s location.

the only thing worse than no chicken nuggets is when they have chicken nuggets… but no BBQ sauce
