Last night on Colbert Nation, Stephen Colbert reported the growing scandal of vendors selling defective Obama collectibles. Special correspondent P.K. Winsome did not deny the report nor did he apologize for the faulty products. Read about it below. We also have photos of numerous Obama collectibles and see a video of the report.
The photos of various Obama collectibles we have here in this article are a small sampling of all of the almost innumerable items that have been produced and put up for sale to the public commemorating the Presidency of Barack Obama. Almost everything you might eat, drink, wear or put on your mantle has been emblazoned with his likeness and his name in honor of what has been endlessly touted as an historic occasion.
Viva la American Capitalism!!! The sheer extent of greed and opportunism is nothing short of mind boggling!
But ….. but ….. its so confusing. This is not a President who supports the theories of Capitalism, yet he uses Capitalism to an extent never seen before by a President. How does the philosophy of Communism, seemingly the political philosophy held near and dear to his heart, jive with the unabashed commercialization of the Presidency? Oh never mind. It doesn’t matter. I’m trying to find a rhyme and reason to it all and that’s totally not necessary when it comes to the liberal mindset. Just go with it and lose yourself in the hype and cult of personality. That’s all that matters. Logic is not necessary.
Take the chocolate item pictured above. Its ’suckadelic’ and honors the ‘Brand New Funky President’. How cool is THAT? It is so nice to see the office of the President of the United States treated with such deference and respect. Ha!
Now, sadly, we find out that there are many defective Obama collectibles. Say it isn’t so! It turns out that some of the Obama commemorative coins, plates and other items are actually rip-offs. There are unscrupulous people who are taking advantage of the Obama cult and poor people who buy things off late night television commercials, to sell items that aren’t quite the quality as advertised. Can you find the defects in the items pictured in this article? Check out the photos and see if you can find anything. As an aside, who would wear Obama underwear?
Stephen Colbert interviews P.K. Winsome, who is in an undisclosed location, about the defective Obama collectives. Winsome admits to making cheap items to sell to those emotionally caught up in the Obama mania and refuses to apologize for his poor quality products. Buyer beware!!!
The full report is in the video below.

Beth let me explain something to You. The obama sainthood collectable fad is both very American in the way it is Mexican and what we have for modern Sainthood. We call it celeb overdrive, but in the future historians will look back on our culture and see it is what people do when they annoint one to watch over them as they haven’t found it in anybody in a while. Rather than be jealous, you should realize the majority of the American people want and need a hero right now after all the depression of the last 8-12 years in our leadership sphere and where it has cracked our values and our economy in the name of ideological and corporate greed. Many of us have felt our country was usurped by a greedy group for some time now and if you check the size of their bonuses, thier hold on power, their “just say no” and endless hokey spin I don’t see how you could miss it. American presidents hold special place with Americans and right now you are seeing a very normal cultural phenomen in progress. People see something unique and very American in the guy that speaks to their character and hopes that transcends recent others. They are adopting them into their families as an important symbol of something good. Its that simple. Wait till some mom’s start naming their kids after him. Our people are grateful for the change frankly so they want to commemerate it.

Oh Brian. Its so sad to think that people would look to this dangerously naive man as a hero. What has he done to be idolized as a hero? He is a blank slate that people can project whatever they want onto. He doesn’t know who he is. No one else knows who he is. He just represents what people want him to be - so he’s everything to everybody and nothing to anyone.
We have heroes Brian. They are all around us. They are in every walk of life. We have a handful of young men and women who answered the call of the Nation when we were under attack - so many didn’t. But our best and brightest did. There are heroes in our neighborhoods and our families. They are all around us if we just look.
The stock market was higher than it has ever been in the last 8 years. We have not had a terrorist attack in 8 years. Now, in a month of an Obama administration the stock market has taken a nose dive and our enemies are lining up chomping at the bits for their turn to take a swipe at us. Obama is no hero. He is not a courageous person. He’s an opportunist who met the criteria the left wanted to push into the limelight.

Brian is the typical liberal. Blame others. Demand others bail you out. Rely on someone who will never care about you to be your hero. Give you stuff that you think you deserve. Whine about the cost of things.
HEY BRIAN. LIFE IS EXPENSIVE. Pay for it yourself. I do and so should you. Do you really think that Barry in Charge is any different? Have you listened to his daily spin?
He has yet to make any positive statements about the greatest country on earth.
I pity you if Barrack Hussein Obama is your hero. God Help Us.

Beth,
I think what makes this funny is the fact that so many people are living the American Dream and making money selling crap to people who willingly give them their money in exchange for a few seconds of excitement.
My wife works for a shop at home company. After the election they were selling coins. She sold as many as 20 and 25 sets per person at $19.95 each for Christmas gifts.
How sad that there are people looking to Barry in Charge to fix their problems while others take from them and are living the American Dream.
I wish I had thought of some of these items. I am sure I would have a great deal more money today.

Beth you’re the one being an opportunist here and you are also another one who doesn’t understand the statistical concept of causality. You’re just plain disingenuous too—-Its embarrassing to see how many of you are so illogical and prejudiced in what you say. I am really convinced you are just plain jealous of the people finally getting a better government after the mess your people created nearly ruined this country.
March 4th, 2009 at 7:04 am
I say fine.
Lets these morons pee away their money, serves em right.
Right now I’m trying to think of some way to recover from these jerks what I can as result of their putting this jerk in office.
Maybe I’ll start marketing a line of “green sex toys” endorsed by the messiah

Brian,
We the people are the government. Stop saying that Bush messed this country up. He made some good decisions and some bad decisions. Just like Obama will.
Ask yourself this question when determining what the government should do. The government should only do what the private sector, won’t, can’t or shouldn’t do.
Too many people for too long have been depending on the government for everyday life. That is not what this country is about. It is about taking a risk, making your own opportunity, paying your own way and you helping others along the way. What will happen when we run out of other peoples money.
We live in a different world. We are at war with people that do not want peace. It is hard for us to understand that but Islam does not fight for peace. They fight for domination not matter the cost. It is kill or be killed.
These people selling this stuff are taking a risk, providing opportunity, and letting other make some money along the way.

Oops, I think I messed up my tax returns last year. I am entitled to a post in the cabinet as a reward, right?
March 4th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Great comments here. Loved the video! I think anyone wanting to buy this stuff should just take the food out of their children’s mouths and order up. That is capitalism! But the other caveat to capitalism is Let the Buyer Beware.
The American way is to understand that your right to vote is one of the very few sacred events in a life time. When you do not see it that way, and you don’t “study” or have a clue what you have voted for, or worse you don’t have a clue what a democracy is all about, then you still have the right and opportunity to go out and oppose the new Socialist President.
Brian - “our people.” I’ve never, ever used that term about any American. “Their character?” What? “your people want a caretaker?”
March 4th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
L Rivera - I’m worried about my taxes too. I’m not good at math at all and I’m afraid I’ll get a very important cabinet position that might require more of me than I’m prepared for. I’m being very careful with them this year. I don’t want to wake up and find myself appointed Secretary of the Treasury!!!
March 4th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Brian, Brian, Brian. Why so defensive? How am I being opportunistic and disingenuous? Also, please do explain the … what did you say? The ’statistical concept of causality’. What could you possibly mean by that?
Also, as Maggie suggested, who are ‘your people’? That would be ‘my’ people. Surely a good liberal like yourself wouldn’t be judgmental and lump people into neat little categories full of stereotypes? I’m sure that can’t be what you meant to do.

Beth, Beth, Beth, Beth, Beth, I cannot believe you cannot understand the statistical concept of causality in evaluating correlations as key in framing any causative argument. You guys plead ignorance way too much on anything actually analytic. correlations are not by definitions causal, even if 1 to 1, in fact its a trick function and tells you nothing of whether one causes the other. So obama being elected and the stock market falling are correlative but not causal due to hidden variables which any common sense person knows many of already. To plead you cannot understand hidden variables are in play is ridiculous.
