There is no confidence in the Obama Administration. This is reflected in economic statistics that are getting worse and worse by the day. You name it, nearly all economic data are worse now than when Barack Obama won the nomination. This includes the stock market which was at over 9,000 when he won the election, and now its likely to fall below 7,000. There is simply no confidence in the Obama Administration and here are the reasons why:
1. He is growing spending faster than he even promised. You can blame your predecessor, but you are in charge of the ship.
2. In the latest $400 plus billion dollar spending plan that he will sign today there are over 9,000 earmarks. During his campaign, he promised NO Earmarks. Yet, he blames his predecessor.
3. Corruption!!!! Virtually every official in the administration is corrupt or tainted by corruption. This includes the tax evaders/tax cheats and folks that benefitted from real estate projects.
You can not begin to mend the economy when your administration is tainted by corruption. There is simply no confidence in the Obama Administration.

Fox says that he will sign the bill shortly. It is $410 billion in spending with over 9,000 earmarks.
March 2nd, 2009 at 6:58 am
Dow just went below 7000 today.
March 2nd, 2009 at 6:59 am
I am surprised to read this. I thought Barry in Charge had the midas touch. I see where the dow is below 7000.
Can we get some adult supervision in this White House?
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:01 am
Another rotten day in the stock market.
Why are you suprised to be reading this????
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:02 am
My point is that unless confidence is restored, economic conditions will only worsen. It does not help that his administration is corrupt. This only adds to current problems.
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:04 am
Or a re-vote for President?
Rasmussen latest survey
Approval 58%
Disapproval 41%
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:28 am
Tina,
It said that tongue in cheek. According to Barry in Charge, he was going fix what Bush ruined his last 6 months in office. He is not able to because all they know is throw money at a problem.
A real leader would be talking positive about things. A community organizer talks negative so as to hang onto a job he is not qualified to do.
His approval ratting is lower then Bush at the same point. Bush was at 62%.
I think people are starting to have voter remorse over Obama.
March 2nd, 2009 at 8:01 am
Good point on the approval rate.
Market now down 174 points

George:
Of coarse people are regretting picking him. Especially the young people. They thought they were going to get a bipartisan pioneer who was a mixture of Abraham Lincoln, JFK,FDR, and Martin Luther King. Instead they got a man who worships Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Instead they got a man who doesn’t create jobs threw nuclear power or gives a healthcare system that really works and improves medicine. Instead they got a Socialistic country with windmills that don’t work. He’s a mixture of James Buchanan/Jimmy Carter/Herbert Hoover/LBJ where nothing goes right and there promises fail.
PS: FDR and JFK sucked!!!!!!!

I actually thought the republican’s screwed up so badly that it would 2016 before they had any chance to regain power. Now, the democrats have proven themselves to be such incompetent thieves and in record time that there may be plenty of hope and change in 2010.
March 2nd, 2009 at 2:11 pm
Yup, but go back a bit before to the Congress - Democrat controlled in 2007.
March 2nd, 2009 at 5:55 pm
The GOP is going down in flames, and you jokers are blaming Obama for not turning 8 years of the worst administration ever around in less than two months…kinda pathetic, aren’t ya?
March 2nd, 2009 at 6:23 pm
Well, bebe36 all I can say is stand by for 2010.
This commie in the White House is on borrowed time.
March 2nd, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Sorry, I clicked on this thinking there would be news to substantiate the claim. Apparently Tina just wanted to blow off some steam. My bad.
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:12 pm
Gee Rob.
Isnt the news that WERE F*CKED ! good enough for you ?
If you dont believe Tina, try reading the Wall street journal, the substantiating numbers are all there
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:14 pm
bebe, isnt it past your bed time ?
March 2nd, 2009 at 11:05 pm
charles no one that i know regrets that they voted for President Obama NO ONE!!!!! everyone can see how the republicans are fighting him on everything. He is trying to reach out to you people but of course you guys are fighting him every inch of the way. it really shows who bipartisan and whos not. it just makes us realize that we have to get all repubs out of office
March 3rd, 2009 at 12:18 am
carla - thats so silly. The Democrats control Congress, the Senate and the Administrative branch of government. The Republicans ARE out of office. You do realize that don’t you? And still the Democrats can’t manage anything on their own. At what point are they going to quit playing the victim and start taking responsibility for their own actions and failures? They have all the power and they still want to blame everything on everyone else. There HAS to be some sort of brain malfunction to be able to twist the truth around to blame ppl who aren’t even in power in spite of all evidence to the contrary.
March 3rd, 2009 at 12:24 am
carla - your statement makes it apparent that you don’t know anything about how the stock market works. The stock market rises and falls on projections about the future - not the past. In other words, as Obama reveals his economic plans, increases the national debt more than all the national debt from the beginning of the American government to today, all put together (in just one month!), pushes through the most bizarre and expensive spending bill in the history of the country and starts working on a global economy (and more) - the stock market reacts to all those things. It reacts to his destruction of the businesses that keep people in jobs and keep money flowing in the economy.
You talk as though he should not be expected to perform like any other President. Why would you make excuses for him unless you think there’s some reason he should not be able to perform like any other? If he’s good enough to be elected President, he should be able to take the heat - for crying out loud - he’s the President. I hate to think he’s so soft he can’t take criticism. He needs to get his act together and ppl need to quit acting like there’s something wrong with him and he can’t defend himself.
March 3rd, 2009 at 4:50 am
Facts - Rob??? Its evident from the performance of the stock market- which measures future investor confidence- has been very poor.
Economic stats - you can check them out at any site - shows further weakening since Obama was elected in November. The unemployment #s for Feb, which will be released this Friday, will be horrible.
The corruption in the administration -the main point of my thread- is a major driving factor. Without honest and credible figures in the administraton, confidence will not be easily restored.
March 3rd, 2009 at 5:24 am
the unemployment was horrible when President Obama took office. the stock market was down when President Obama took office This man has been in office in what about 100 days now i just dont understand how you repubs blame everything on him. Then on the other hand dush was in for 8 years but there is no blame to place on him and yes the dems controlled the congress for 2 years but for 6 years the repub had control and yet Beth you people dont blame the repubs that was in charge i really wish you people was so critical of dush as you are of President Obama. You people wont give him a chance but thats ok because he will see us out of this recession that we are no so deeply in.
psssst hes a lil secret when dush got into office we had a surplus. now we owe everybody oh but if i think like u do its Obamas fault
March 3rd, 2009 at 5:41 am
Tina, as you’ve noted, Obama enjoys good poll numbers. This implies that people aren’t enmasse blaming him (yet) for the market woes. They wouldn’t approve of his performance AND have no confidence. They are mutually exclusive.

Carla:
The democrats have never been able to do anything without luck. FDR had the luck of WW2 to fix the economy. Kennedy the economy was only good in his time in office because of Eaenhower and that wasn’t the issue at the time because he started a war that destroyed the economy and raised taxes. Not to mention that getting shot helped Kennedy go from a OK to great he really stunk. And Clinton had the internet bubble which burst the second he left office.
March 3rd, 2009 at 3:50 pm
This is funny very funny the man that Democrats,Independents, and even some Republicans felt this man was the future. And now no one has confidence in him anymore. He has no clue what he’s doing, no ideas on what to do, and he’s just a weak leader all together. Well I just want to say this to the people of america. I told you so I told you so now I know thats sounds stupid, but its true.
