If you are in the Seattle area, the conservative websites Liberty Belle and Michelle Malkin are promoting a protest against the pork in Obama’s stimulus pacakge. The protest will be in Westlake Park at noon on President’s Day, Monday, February 16.

The protest against the porkulus is on for President’s Day!

Date: Monday, February 16th
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Westlake Park in downtown Seattle, 401 Pine St., in the open area by the big arch.

The idea is to use what we’ve learned about dissent over the last eight years. We need loud protests with lots noise and visuals. So, what should you bring?

Bring AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN! Bring your families, your friends, neighbors, bring everyone!

Bring SIGNS!! Get those craft making juices flowing and make signs and banners and pictures and paintings. Just imagine that you are a left-wing college student with nothing else to do and that should help you get started!

Bring something to sit on and appropriate clothing.

Most importantly, JUST BRING IT!!!

Liberty Belle, a conservative blogger, who runs a website called Redistributing Knowledge is organizing a protest against the pork in Barack Obama’s stimulus package. Seattle is hardly a bastion of conservative thought, but it is a place where dissent thrives. Liberty Belle is seeking to show conservative dissent against Obama’s socialist agenda right in the left-wing’s backyard.

Listen to Rush Limbaugh’s argument against the Stimulus Plan below. As we reported here and as Limbaugh states quite eloquently, the Democrats in Congress passed the stimulus plan without READING it! It is thousands of pages long, and it is filled with earmarks for, among other things, the study of rodents in the San Francisco area, as we reported here. Yes, times are bad, but surely the answer out of this recession isn’t to have American taxpayers fund Democrat pork programs?

If you can attend and you believe, like me, that the stimulus plan is just a bunch of useless pork, join in the protest!
