Rape Charges Dropped in Duke Case

2 hours agoDURHAM, N.C. – Prosecutors dropped rape charges Friday against three Duke University lacrosse players accused of attacking a stripper at a team party, a defense attorney said.
Joseph Cheshire, an attorney for one of the three players, said charges of kidnapping and sexual offense remain in place.
Nifong, of course, couldn’t be reached for comment.
And other charges are still pending.

I hadn’t heard this yet so thanks for the news. And thank goodness. This whole thing was a travesty. Nifong should be impeached and disbarred.

Looks like Nifong is still trying to salvage a case with the lesser charges. Gotta try to appease the voting block don’t you know.
