I’m not even sure where to start with this one. I guess a direct quote rhyme from the good Rev. Joseph Lowery is as good a place as any:

‘Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around… when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen’…

So much for post-racial America. Why is the white man always the evil man? Honestly I think this is a sad way to start the new era of hopechangery, unicorns and rainbows, but what do I know. Get used to this crap, we’re going to hear it for a while methinks. Someone asked back in August, “If we elect Obama, can we retire the race card?” I guess not.
