Its hard to imagine what life will be like without Howard “The Scream” Dean to kick around anymore because Virginia’s Governor, Tim Kaine, has positioned himself to become the next chairman of the Democratic Party. Read more about it below, see photos and watch a video.

Governor Tim Kaine campaigned vigorously for The One in Virginia during the presidential contest. The day after the election, Governor Kaine said Obama’s triumph in Virginia — the first for a Democrat seeking the presidency in 44 years — was the apex of everything he had worked for since law school.

Whoa.

Well, such utter devotion to Obama most certainly has its benefits. Tim Kaine will become the new chief of the Democratic National Committee following Howard Dean’s departure on January 21st after the inauguration of Barack Obama.

Tim Kaine plans to work at the party part-time until 2010, when his term as governor is up and he can take over the DNC full-time. The One has chosen Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, who directed his successful campaign battleground state strategy, to run day-to-day operations at the party as executive director.

With Democrats controlling the White House and Congress, the new DNC chairman will be responsible for reinforcing the White House message — the top political messenger if you will — which should be a lot of fun for Right Pundits to watch. Additionally, their role is preparing for the 2010 midterm elections and raising dough.

This decision has not yet been officially announced, but I wonder how the good people of Virginia feel about sharing their governor for the next year with the DNC? Especially those who did not vote for The One? Just curious.
