The first lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, is suing Pardon, a fashion chain, over images they have placed on a hand bag which feature Bruni sans clothing. She is married to French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Read more, see photos, and a video below.

The claim is for $160,000 over the pictures. Bruni is claiming that permission was never given to the fashion company. Pardon is based out of the Indian Ocean island of Reunion. The first lady is a former model and did the photo in 1993 as a promo for AIDS relief.

The original photo was auction for $91,000.00. Bruni is saying that the photo was never intended for commercial use. Pardon does not sell the bags in France. In fact, the bags were only sold for a few days. When they caught on to the potential lawsuit, they pulled the bags and even offered to destroy them.
