Sara Sidner Biography
Sara Sidner is a CNN Correspondent who is based in New Delhi, India. She has been with CNN International for less than a year.
Sidner worked as an anchor for KTVU Channel 2 News in San Francisco, California since January 2004. While there, she focused on Bay Area and International stories. During her time with KTVU she broke and reported on high profile stories in the area and around the world. She received a number of awards while at KTVU including the Peninsula Press Club first place award for Reporting, Northern California Radio and Television News Directors award for Reporting and 4 National Academy of Arts & Sciences from the Northern California Chapter Emmy nominations. In addition, Sidner has been awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award.
Prior to working for KTVU Channel 2 News, she worked with a number of TV stations in Texas, Florida and Missouri. She has accumulated over twelve years of experience in investigative reporting.
Sara Sidner left KTVU on December 31, 2007 to become a CNN Correspondent. She is responsible for CNN’s coverage of India and South Asia.
Sidner was raised by her mother. The two traveled throughout the world throughout Sidner’s life. She has a telecommunications degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

A very disturbing video on CNN. I was watching live when Sara Sidner was reporting and some guys came in and started shouting at her and wanted to fight about why CNN was reporting on an India thing.
Idiots. Don’t they know that foreigners were attacked and that they’re still being kept hostage in this crisis? Talking about foreigners, the CNN team were staying at the Taj Palace doing an ‘Eye on India’ week when terrorists struck, so they were victims. These guys have no right to talk like this.

Sara kicked major major ‘behind’, to be blunt, she was superb in that coverage while the guy lost his cool. BRAVO SARA, you rock.
He was totally non coherent and Sara maintained complete kewl and asked this guy to explain and she ‘punked’ him out with brilliance and brains…

I’m in Oakland, CA, USA and used to watch Sara on our local station, now she’s moved up to big time. She was beautiful back then, she still is now. I would hate to see her injured in some terrorist bomb blast or trampled by an unruley mob. Hopefully she’ll get her own show like A. Coop. soon.
