The Washington Time has an exclusive article which aruges that Obama is likely to delay repealling Pres. Clinton’s infamous “don’t ask don’t tell” policy that allows gays and lesbians to serve in the military. In fact, it looks like he won’t move on it, if he does at all, until 2010 according to the Times.
Mr. Obama’s gay-ban pledge was not a major campaign issue. However, he provided a policy statement to the Human Rights Campaign, the largest U.S. gay rights group, pledging to repeal the exclusion and to invite back service members discharged under the law. He also said that he wants the Pentagon to school military people on how to treat gays.
Well, get used to it Obama supporters. I have a feeling he is going to change his mind on a lot of his campaign pledges. Oh yeah, that one where only people making $250,000 or more, he’s pretty much already forgotten that one. Welcome to President Carter the sequel, ain’t it grand!

the problem of course is that some military units are all male, and if gay men were in the unit there could be problems if one hit on another …
if that happened now, the accused would be investigated and if they were found to be gay they would be discharged.
if being gay was ok, the accused could just deny hitting on the accuser, and without witnesses, there would be nothing that could be done. so long as there were no witnesses a gay guy could hit on anyone.

wow. So based on the rationing above, women should not be allowed in the military either because she might hit on one of the guys. And since straight women are allowed in the military, she’ll never be investigated! How terrible!
This site is ridiculous. A bunch of morons who only look at the world with their ignorant goggles on. You guys are better to just keep talking to each other, because the rest of us can see that you’re crazy.
Why are straight men so scared that a gay guy is going to hit on them? In 20 years from now we are going to look back on these times where we discriminated against gays (i.e. Prop
and be truly embarassed as a culture. It’s not only discriminating but just plain immature.
