There are reports that voters complained of intimidation in Philadelphia when they saw a couple of members of the New Black Panther Party guarding the door to the polling station with a nightstick.
Here is the account:
Apparently, two black panthers were blocking the doorway at a polling place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
One of the panthers said “the black man was going to win the White House no matter what.”
Brandishing a night stick, and swinging it menacingly, the police were called - one of the black panthers and his night stick were removed.
We have two videos of the incident below the fold.
Hopefully, this is an isolated incident and we will not see many reports of this kind of thing today. We as Americans pride ourselves on free and fair elections.

I saw Rick Levanthal talking to one of these morons on a later video asking him about the stick.
The guy was an idiot.
He was asked if anyone had a club earlier, got smart, or tried to be, and said “I’m talking bout what is, not was.”

There is intimidation everywhere….even security guards at hospitals asking if you voted, then who for. Did not answer,but felt fearful with the tone,as it was not “small talk”.
Never have I felt so threatened in an election,and I wish Obama would come out and say knock it off ! I am quite ticked off.

Micky…where I had to be today in various parts of this city, someone would have had to kill me before I admitted I voted McCain. First time ever I did not feel I could safely say who I voted for. I am not happy.

Even OX has admitted there was no evidence of voter intimidation. The video clearly shows a pip squeak camera man or news guy trying to make something of nothing. It is a predominantly African American precinct voting ninty five percent Blue in 2004, and though the night stick was a nasty idea that guy left voluntarily as he was a friend of the guy hired as a poll guard. No one was ever threatened or intimidated and I am going to take a guess that they were there to prevent voter suppression efforts not to intimidate the vote.

As a black person i can tell you that i didnt even know the black panthers even still existed. lets not forget there are crazy people everywhere and they seem to be on parade this election. I’m sure there are probably some white supremisist hanging around polls somewhere.
I personally think since the panthers like Africa so much they should move there! Groups like that dont help black people.

I have really choice words for people who like you who think anyone is dumber than you.
The guy is standing dead center in front of the voting entrance with his buddy, both wearing urban miltary uniforms with a night stick in his hand.
Do you know what a night stick is, or looks like ?
His leaving voluntarily was only due the police precense.
The second interview with Levanthal, which is not on this post, showed the other taller guard being a beligerant smart ass punk towards Levanthal who was asking some pretty luke warm questions.
They were not law enforcement and yet they placed themselves strategically in the center of the entrance so that one man, whom Levanthal interviewed, said he had to squeeze between them in order to get in.
FOX did not admit anything along the lines of what you’re saying. I’ve had the channel on since 3 in the morning, watched the segment , and it was clearly a report confirming voter intimidation.
Wise up.

Please people, fellow citizens, fellow Americans. The votes have been cast democratically.
First and foremost we are Americans. We have to stand as one. We have problems in America that need our attention. And we have to face them together as Americans.
You prolific bloggers have had 20+ months to voice your opinions. Let it go. We have voted in a new leader that has promised change. Let him lead us now. There is no place for bigotry in America anymore. You are only punishing your own sanity and personal progress if you can not let go of your bigotry. Oppression is ugly. Repression is ugly. Finally we as a people are unified. We are one now, with liberty and justice for all.
Let’s move forward as a team and continue onward in that spirit of unity. We Americans know for a fact that we are the greatest country on Earth. Let’s prove it. Together as one, as a team. Have pride in who we are.
If you continue to bash each other then any progress will be impeded and any change we have fought for will diminish.
Allow people of all races in America to celebrate. We are Americans. Celebrate equality. Celebrate a new dawn. Celebrate what lies on the horizon so that together we can change for the better as a unified nation. Change will happen much more efficiently if we can all get on the same page.
To continue bashing one another impedes change that we need. The last administration impeded progress. A new and hopefully better administration lies ahead. One we can be proud of if we work together. It is imperitive for survival in a complicated world.

Using the lefts method of finding logical conclusions for the results of this election! I believe the conspiracy theory that the left controls every thing including the price of gas! Is it not a big coincidence that the prices have plummeted just to the end of the election days afterwards? I paid $3.85 a gallon just a few weeks ago and today $2.22 per gallon. Could it be that the dems trashed the economy by manipulating the price of gas just to win the election??? That they will go to any length to win an election. Obombus consistently kept saying “McCain will keep using Bush’s failed economic policies� to every idiot that is buying gas. Very few people can relate to why Freddie and Fanny went so wrong “another democrat debacle� but everyone can relate to the price of gas and why its Bush’s fault but no one can see how obomba hijacked this election!
