Welcome to Right Pundits Election Prediction Contest. Let us know what your election predictions are and you could be the Right Winner of the Right Pundits Grand Prize. Read contest details below.
Win $100.00
This week we are having an election prediction contest rather than our usual caption contest. That’s because … this is election week! heh! You can easily participate. All you have to do is guess the winner of the Presidential election and the winning margin. Leave your best guess in the comments here. Its just that simple!
Contest rules:
- Leave your Presidential election prediction (winner and winning percentage margin rounded to the nearest whole percent) in the comments on this thread
- Include your predictions for net Senate and Congressional gains and losses.
- You must get the winner right. First tie breaker is percentage victory rounded to nearest whole percent
- Second tiebreaker is net Senate and Congressional gains and losses, equally weighted.
- Entries require that you enter a valid email address in the comment box (to prevent cheating) which will be kept confidential.
- One final entry per IP, one final entry per person, one final entry per email address. You are free to change your entry by making new guesses, but only the last entry counts.
- Contest is open until midnight PST on election eve (Monday).
- Entries from suspended commenters are not allowed.
- Contest is valid in states and jurisdictions that allow it. International IP entries are not valid, except from American military serving overseas.
- By participating, you agree that the interpretation of the rules and and naming of winner(s) by Right Pundits is final without recourse to challenges, griping, or whining.
Example of a valid entry:
John McCain wins by 2%
Dems gain 4 Senate seats and 10 House seats.
Right Winner Grand Prize:
- Right Pundits will reward the person who predicts the winner of the Presidential election with the closest margin with a $100 prize and a Right Punditeer Award, as long as your state allows it and you have a PayPal account.
. Depending on interest, we may drum up prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.
Election 2008
The Cabbage Patch dolls are really cute
but they shouldn’t have given Sarah Palin cankles!!
The winner will be announced next Wednesday, assuming there are no contests in dispute, after the election and after we’ve had time to calculate all the entries.
Our regular caption contest will resume next week.

I’m optimistic! Heh!
(p.s. I want a bonus if my fantasy that Nancy Pelosi somehow loses her seat. I know, that’s an extreme long shot. But Cindy Sheehan would be powerless and much less destructive. I can’t stand her either - but it would be worth it to have Pelosi have to go back to San Francisco.)

McCain will win - and he’ll do it the way Clinton did it in the primaries to Obama - He polls ahead and then industrial states don’t go for him. That being said.
McCain will end up in the White House by taking Florida by 2-3%; Pennsylvania by 12% and Ohio by 8-10%. He will also barely hold NOrth Carolina, and I am even going to give Massachusetts to McCain by a narrow margin because he didn’t do well against Clinton in Mass and the superdelegates put their support towards Obama instead. Don’t forget Massachusetts currently has a very unpopular friend of Obama as their governor and they see how he wants to give out free tuition to illegal immigrants, and Massachusetts don’t forget has voted for mostly liberal Republican Governors.
And he will definitely take NH.
End:
McCain 53% 273 electoral votes
Obama 43% 265 electoral votes
Other 4%
