Here is the evidence of Barack Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama, in vintage nude photos from the 1960s. See the pictures, sources and commentary here. The story is culturally interesting to be sure, although it will not have any impact on the presidential race. They appear to be quite authentic yet we realize readers will want to review and judge for themselves and that anything is possible in a season of dirty campaign tricks.
The poses are tastefully done in what might be called artistic photos in which the photographer favors her butt. Obama’s mom is apparently wearing comically high heels for that time period, with a simple necklace and little makeup. The pics were reportedly located on a porno site whose name is evident on one of them, the “Free Vintage Porn” Whatchamacallit site. The origin is from a blogger who worked on a tip from a convincing insider.
It is oddly speculated that Frank Marshall Davis took the pictures, an acquaintance of Mrs. Dunham when she was married, but we cannot possibly verify that he is the one (deceased now) and that sounds like partisan nonsense to us. He was a photographer among other literary pursuits as a Marxist organizer of some note in Hawaii.
What we can say is that the photo session does appear to be authentic. If you carefully compare the known Stanley Ann Dunham photos with the naked versions, you can see unmistakable signs. The eyes are the same with the unusual eyebrows above. Her long cheek bone lines are similar as is the angle of her ears. Her nose is upturned in a French fashion while her mouth is petite and heart shaped cutely and her neck lines are the same. And nobody photoshops three images when one will do just fine.
Our Right Pundits editors had a healthy debate about whether or not to publish about pictures of Obama’s nude mom. We do not publish naked images uncensored but the story in my view is obviously newsworthy. In making this decision, we apply the same standards as the New York Times. If Cindy McCain’s addiction and Nancy Reagan’s fortune telling and the Bush Twins partying are newsworthy items, which they are, surely reports on the risque mom of a U.S. president is equally newsworthy.
Especially in Hawaii in the 1950’s and 1960’s. During the Joe McCarthy era when interracial dating was still taboo in many of The States, Obama’s mom was apparently known for a rebellious streak. She eventually gave him up to the grandparents when he was ten years old, but little is spoken about this period of Obama’s life except in whispers.
The next question is does this matter. We think not. Barack Obama had an unusual childhood which exposed him to unusual circumstances, including mosque in Indonesia and a free-spirited mother who was seemingly drawn to interesting men. He has been on a self-described lifelong journey of “personal discovery” ever since. He is clearly a product of his past as we all are, but he has overcome these obstacles to achieve the American dream and sit one hair away from the presidency.
And in many ways, Barack Obama’s mother is emblematic of 21st century liberated women, free to pursue careers in pantsuits or become sex kittens as they choose. Obama’s mother chose her own path and never looked back. She was a trailblazer who engaged in interracial marrying (twice!) when nobody else was brave, gave her child up essentially to adoption, and experimented in all sorts of things that would become commonplace among flower children within 20 years. She fled back to Indonesia in 1977 while abandoning Barack.
The Obama campaign did not respond to a request for comment on this article.
As a brief update, a gentle suggestion is that some of our visitors move into the 21st century. American culture in on a 2,000 year quest to finally catch up with the Greeks, when nudity was commonplace and non-controversial. Even the goddesses were depicted nude, while the wives of the ruling class were pridefully sculpted topless. The nation will survive Obama’s mom posing nude, yet here I find liberal readers sounding like John Ashcroft. Gawker Media, a liberal-leaning yet respected media giant beat us to this story. Explain why it matters at all.
See much more of Obama’s mother below, which you can blow up and compare for yourself.

Good work. All your years off surfing porn sites on company time has paid off. What do you do with all your kiddie porn after you have abused yourself for hours on end? The FBI will find it on your hard drive no matter how much you scrub it.

Oy gevalt! What business is it of anyone’s if Obama’s mother posed for nude pix in 1960. It was a way of making a bit of money, and it was quite possible that she really needed money in those days.
This should have as little influence upon our decisions for 4Nov as the stories of BillClinton’s very difficult early years should have had.

I’m just really glad that I’ve had this opportunity to see what it was that gave Obama his ethical base and morals.
My parents were doing all kinds of crazy liberal sh*t when I was a kid, not as far left as Obamas mom of course.
But then I’m a recovering dem, and I’m not running for pres.
I always thought there was a mixed message going on when any magazine/photographer would use nudity with a backdrop that represented a christian holiday.
I’ll bet Jesus was up there screaming :
Hey ! What the f*ck are you doing a$$hole !
Its my bithday ! Put yer damn clothes on !

Hey Orville.
Been there , done that ?

…and this is the last time I will visit the Right Pundits website.
You have done a horribly dishonorable thing and yet you will probably not even be able to fathom the depth of your fall.
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:00 am
oh yes, one more part of obamas past we’re supposed to just shove under the rug. pfft
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:20 am
Gee Demitri.
I thought the left celebrated this kinda thing.
Doesnt this empower her ?
Does she not represent the loss of inhibition that the left is famous for ?
I figured you and your ilk would defend this instead of making Pundits out to be the bad guys.
I’m sure Obamas mom would take the defense and ask us whats wrong with this.
I myself have no more problem with the nudity than anyone else who appreciates human anatomy.
Its the Christmas tree behind her that blows my mind.
And then you have to wonder who released these also.
It could be some right wing loon with an axe to grind that inadvertently got ahold of em.
It could be that someone in the Obama family released them thinking this makes a positive statement.
You also have to take into account that McCain did say;
“anything is possible in a season of dirty campaign tricks”.
Then again, as McCain stated, if the left can bring up Cindys addiction as something wrong or Nancy Reagans astrologer along with the many acts of adultry McCain commited that no one can prove then its only fair, right ?
Bush is a murdering lying n*zi and our troops are air raiding innocent villages.

I don’t understand publishing these photos. I never thought I would feel sick-to-my-stomach pity and sorrow for Obama. Naked pictures of his mom on the internet. I don’t see a big backlash against McCain for these coming out on the eve of the election, but the sympathies are 100% with Obama on this one.
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:30 am
People here think its low to ‘attack a mother’? Asking where Right Pundit’s morals are? Please!!!
You are the same people who took glee in viciously attacking and spreading untrue rumors about Sarah Palin (and she’s a mother) and her CHILDREN. You had no problem at all in VERY personal attacks on that entire family.
Nothing personal is said here about this woman or her progeny. This isn’t a vicious attack. In fact, McCain was very fair in presenting this story. She had the pictures made and they were already on the internet. They are tastefully done, and even at that, McCain went out of his way to cover her.
The democrats have no ability to take the moral high ground on any of this and trying to do so is nothing short of jaw droppingly hypocritical.
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:46 am
This is going way to far. I’m no fan of Obama, but you all should be damned ashamed of yourselves for this post.
This could be photoshopped or not, either way, it doesn’t matter, it’s just really wrong to push things this way. Wrong.
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:51 am
it is pretty bad, attacking someone’s mom.
Edward – were you equally outraged when someone photoshopped bikini clad photos of Sarah Palin and circulated them around the internet? How about when a porn movie was made with her likeness.
Did that bother you?
I haven’t seen any of the men in this campaign treated with the viciousness that the left has treated Sarah Palin. They even treated Hillary Clinton badly. Its obvious that the left has a problem with powerful women.
Do people have a problem with the female body? Is that why they find these pictures outrageous? She posed for the photos, so she obviously didn’t have a problem with it.
I think this faux outrage is code for sexism.
October 23rd, 2008 at 10:00 am
Beth, if your comments were in part directed to me, please understand they were not intended to accuse you folks of immoral or improper conduct. The pics were already on the internet when you got them. So, that moral decision had already been made by someone else.
My observation was and is simply that anyone would feel kicked in the stomach if they saw naked pictures of their mother on the internet.
I personally do not reach the issue of whether the publication of nude pictures of any woman who consented to posing for them is, or could ever be, viewed as an attack on her. My point is simply that the publication of such photos is virtually certain to prove very painful to such women’s childern.
Finally, as for the attacks of some left bloggers on Palin regarding her children, I couldn’t agree more with you as to their inappropriateness. But I don’t think Mr. Phillips, based on my reading of his previous posts on this website, is one of those persons.

I can’t believe this. I so ashamed at being called a republican. I will always be a conservative…but republicans give us a horrible name. This is just trash. I’m not voting this year. I don’t agree with Obama’s policies, but I CAN NOT contribute to the republican party this year. I’ll either vote Obama or just stay home…more than likely stay home.
disgusting.
October 23rd, 2008 at 11:13 am
I’ll say this much.
If these were pics of Bushs mom the left would have them plastered everywhere while attacking the character of the whole family based on that alone.
I’ll never forget that pic of Lieberman on his knees in front of Bush at the KOS.
Where was the outrage there ?
I’m not saying that bad behavior warrants more bad behavior as these pics I believe are just representative of an action that I dont see as horribly immoral, except from a christian perspective concerning the christmas tree in the background its really no big deal.
What it does is give us an insight as to how Obama was raised.
Will we see more nude art if Obama lands in office ?
Relaxed nudity laws ?
If you want to approach it from another position you could ask if Obama wins the office will we see more porno shops around ?
Girlsxlipstick.
If you percieve this as one mistake made by one conservative author that would cause you to turn 180 degrees and vote for Obama?
Me thinks your a fake.

I have a slightly different take on this. I am an Internet services provider. After spending 2 weeks getting Sarah Palin porn removed from the Internet using my professional methods to work with Internet hosting companies, I can truly appreciate that the sight of these photos can be upsetting to people, related or not. I do not classify these as porn but sensitive material, as they are not evidenced to be porn but simply nude photos of a woman possibly taken with permission. However, the intent to harm someone with the posting of these images can be contrued in court as malicious and harming and be in violaiton of the Terms Of Service for the hosting of the rightpundits.com Website. If reported to the hosting authority, these images can be removed or the Website terminated by this host.
With that said, there are reasons that the posting of these photos online can be considered against the law or the rules: It is offensive.
AND TWO WRONGS DON’T MAKE THIS RIGHT. When someone does something that is immoral or unethical, don’t stoop to their level.
I am all for seeking the truth, especially when so many of us can be impacted by this election. But proper authorities and proper channels should be used to do so, and media, whether it be professional or just someone’s blog, should take responsibility to do the right thing and not just be after the headline of the moment.
Barack Obama obviously has not fully disclosed his past. Because he has chosen to run for this public office, he is open to being vetted by everyone in this country — and that includes his personal life. My take on this is that he is either very naive or he thinks he can get away with it. In either case, these qualities do not convince me he has the right stuff for this job.
You should have written this article without showing the photos IF you felt compelled that this was the best way to get the information out there to people who should know. I am not convinced that this photo link is really necessary in supporting the case of who Barack Obama’s father is. So what was your motive behind doing this? Sometimes people get caught up in something and need to take a step back and retract.
We are all human. Now go do the human right thing and regain the respect you may have lost with some of these folks here. I am not a prior visitor of this Website, so I will not be back. But I hope some of you who are giving up will continue to stay involved and not give up on this process — our country needs you now more than ever.

Beth Shaw -
I think perhaps you need a good margarita and a deep breath. This is as bad or worse than many of the attacks on Palin.
I’m a Conservative, but not a Republican. I am also a Christian, (Catholic, anyway) and posting these pictures is honestly a very cruel thing to do with no purpose other than to be snotty.
Very disappointed in this post.
October 23rd, 2008 at 11:51 am
“these images can be contrued in court as malicious and harming and be in violaiton of the Terms Of Service for the hosting of the rightpundits.com Website. If reported to the hosting authority, these images can be removed or the Website terminated by this host.”
That might be true if Pundits was the original source.
These pics were put on a public domain to which Pundits would be exercising free speech by simply displaying what came from that domain.
I can go out and find naked pics of millions of people that offered them to the internet, put them up on my blog and theres not a damn thing you or anyone can do about it.
I’d like to see you put such efforts forth to the sites such as the KOS that actually “create” disgusting images instead of simply transfering something that is subjected to ones perspective.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Now you scumbags are going after Obama’s mother. Nothing else to campaign on but fear and smear. With 11 more days, I’ll keep checking back here to see when you start smearing his grandmother.
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:22 pm
You astroturfers really crack me up man. I will give Axelrod his due, he can really send out the astroturfers. “I’m so ashamed to be a Republican” blah blah blah. Look get this through your mushy liberal skulls, when you come here with your fake indignation we don’t give a crap because the left has been on a non-stop smear campaign ever since Palin was nominated. You have Andrew Sullivan still claiming that Sarah is not the mother of Palin and intimating that Todd had sex with his daughter. The New York freaking Times is still running stories on Cindy McCain’s ancient history drug abuse and speculating about how long before McCain dies of cancer. You even had some “mainstream” media sources publishing the obviously photoshopped Palin bikini pictures who thought they were real. All we are doing here is telling a story that has already been told by tons and tons of web pages already. Are we to just ignore newsworth items that are already out there? I know that is what the MSM does in regards to anything that might negatively affect Obama, but the blogosphere is different.
Don’t cast stones at us, clean your own house first. Your fake indignation is incredibly irritating. If you want to leave, fine, don’t let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
