If you missed tonight’s Vice Presidential debate between Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden and you can’t wait for C-SPAN to re-run the event, you can read about it, get the transcript, and watch the entire video right here at Right Pundits!
This Vice Presidential debate has been one of the most anticipated debates in a very long time. All eyes were on Governor Sarah Palin. Could she hold her own with Senator Joe Biden — known to be a bare-knuckle debater? Would Biden be able to tame his tongue - known by many to be a ‘gaffemaster?’ Would Palin be knowledgeable ‘enough?’
As we noted earlier, this may be the first time in history that the VP debate gets higher television ratings that the presidential debate. The candidates covered issues from the economy to Iraq, while frequently landing blows to their opponents’ top of the ticket.
There were no major gaffes. No gotcha questions from Gwen. Biden defended Obama without doing harm to the ticket. But he seemed boring to me and very predictable. Palin on the other hand, was fresh, warm and down-to-earth, while speaking with a seemingly newfound confidence following some slips in recent network interviews. She was definately the ‘real deal’ compared to a tired, lifelong Washington insider like Joe Biden.
I think Michelle Malkin said it best tonite….”Sarah made history. Biden is history.”
Sadly, this was the only scheduled Vice Presidential debate. There are 2 more scheduled Presidential Debates to be held at Belmont University in Nashville on October 7th and at Hofstra University in Hempsted, N.Y., on October 15th.
You can read the transcript of tonite’s debate here and watch the complete debate video below.

What debate were you watching? Mrs. Palin did so much stumbling I thought she was Jimmy Carter. I will agree she is exciting, but then look at her running mate. Mc Cain is like watching paint dry. Biden might be boring, but at least I won’t have to hear what he has to say if the democrats win then I’ll get to listen to the exciting part of their ticket.

Mr. Fidler: you may want to reconsider voting based on who you get to listen to. After all, Adolf H*tler was a good speaker. Make sure you vote for America’s best interest. National security, oil independence, and helping the American economy have an edge on the world. Obama’s taxes won’t help with any of those.

Seriously? Was anyone else watching the same debate? Palin sounded like Patty Duke. I’m a woman and I was embarrassed that she is representing my gender. I’m pretty sure she relied on two over rehearsed answers “McCain the Maverick” and “Energy.” Thank god they schooled her before the interview….. If the American people can’t see she’s there to tug the heart string of soccer and hockey moms, parents of mentally handicapped children and those gosh darn people who don’t live in golly gee Washington. Come on people! She may be a sweet lady but she’s not the lady I want when McCain returns to his casket half way through the Presidency

Was anyone paying attention to the amount of times Biden had to correct Palin on her facts…..or keeping track of the amount of times Palin attacked Biden and Obama on an issue and Biden had to come back and remind Palin that “The Maverick” voted the same way?
Anyone?? anyone??

It’s becoming a played out argument but it is still the essential question that needs to be asked; Would you want Palin to be our president? We shouldn’t look at these candidates as potential VP’s but as a potential President. In Palin’s case, there’s a greater possibility of this happening. McCain has seen many years and to act as though McCain’s age has nothing to do with his possibly precidency is hogwash. You can have the greatest docs in the world and still drop dead unexpectedly and we all know age is a factor in health matters. Do you want to leave this woman (her sex has nothing to do with my opinion of her.) as the head of our nation to face some of the darkest, vile, most radical world leaders of our time? How would she handle another terrorist attack or an attack of any type on American soil. This is a LEGITIMATE concern that everyone should be thinking about. Is she good enough to not just be Vice President, but hold the position of Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America?

Why do people keep on running the scenario “what if Palin becomes President?” What if OBama becomes President? He’s just as inexperienced as she is, but he’s running for PRESIDENT! THE TOP OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATE! I think what Palin really does is take away the focus of someone who is completely unqualified be President. OBAMA. And there’s not a discussion of a “chance” he’s be President, if elected, he WILL be President from day one. Now that’s scary.

Does any one person agree with me that no matter who we cast our vote for America will still be in trouble? The presidents don’t make any radical changes, they may attempt to, but there will still be a problem, always. We need to get off of our monetary system that controls everything, invest in clean energy, increase all technology so we don’t have to go to our depressing jobs 5 days a week and work hard all year to have a 2 week vacation. The dollar is an ideal and an idea that has invisibly failed. Money is nothing except whats in computers. Just think. I don’t care who wins because there is no way it’s going to change shit.

Biden obiously is in the right, it’s not Palins dosent seem to really get what she is supporting. And using the word “Maverick” for McCain is missleading, McCain has cast few “Maverick” votes, McCain differs not much from Bush poletics… and look where that got us.
