There are ongoing rumors that Elizabeth Hasselbeck is fed up with the constant bickering and political gotcha games on The View and is seriously thinking of leaving the program. Read about it below and see photos and a video.
Frankly, I’ve wondered why Elizabeth Hasselbeck has stayed on The View as long as she has. If I were in her situation, I think I would have a hard time getting up and going to work in the morning. Part of the appeal of the show is the cat fights and since Elizabeth is the only conservative on the show, she’s generally the focus of the rants of the liberals on the show. A lot of times it seems like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg tag team her when they aren’t both hammering her at the same time.
The show has turned very political with the upcoming election. The bias on the show couldn’t be more evident. The recent very disrespectful treatment of John and Cindy McCain compared to the fawning treatment of Barack and Michelle Obama was a last straw. Not to mention the number of celebrities who come on the show and refuse to even acknowledge Elizabeth because …. well …. who knows why. Apparently, they disapprove of her views.
It seems that things are tense enough on the set that Barbara Walters has had ‘cooling off’ meeting with the ladies who host the show. They say its not as bad as it was when Rosie O’Donnell was on the show (see video below), but its plenty bad.
Elizabeth is said to be upset enough with the whole situation that she’s giving serious thought to leaving and is considering hosting her own show on Fox News.
I think that if Elizabeth leaves The View, they will have a hard time finding a replacement token conservative. I can see the show having problems without her on there. She brings an alternative point of view, as intolerant as her liberal counterparts obvious are of her opinions. Without her, they will just be preaching to the choir.

I wouldn’t blame Elizabeth for leaving – she should have gone to higher echelons sooner. The other women on The View have become arrogant, insensitive, close-minded, hormone deficient bitches. They believe themselves to be intelligent and have all climbed up onto a pedestal without feet, bound to fall into the abyss soon. Barbara Walters is losing it, judging by the spaced-out look she gets in her eyes as she purses her lips in disapproval of every belief or thought which doesn’t match her own. Joy should be put out to pasture with the other cows. She is one of the most vindictive, hateful, and unattractive excuses for a woman I have ever seen. What once was a good show has turned into a fiasco.

I think Elisabeth would be a great fit for Fox News. Honestly, a young female conservative could bring in a new audience, and be a really great addition to their programming. Do I share her opinion on everything? No. But I do admire the fact that she sticks to what she believes, even when it means being the odd woman out on the show. That takes guts.
Personally, I don’t care for The View very much anyhow, but I think it’s because I just can’t relate to the women on the show, and when I actually have time to watch TV I don’t care to spend it watching women yell over each other. And in my mind, Elisabeth will always be “that girl from Survivor.”

Oh Puh Leeze. Elizabeth H. once said that we should all just shush and trust the president no matter what “because he’s the president.” Is that the opinion of a critical thinker??? Is that even an opinion that an independent free-thinking conservative would appreciate??
It’s a mid-morning chat show not journalism. They don’t uncover scoops they talk about what’s in the news and on TV and in pop culture.

She’s leaving? Really?? Woo-hoo..when can I dance on my desk? I can’t stand her whining and strident banter. I’m still kicking myself for rooting for her in Survivor because I thought she was the nice chick. She looked absolutely ridiculous during the argument with Rosie. She was right, it was a yes or no answer and that day Lizzie proved her colors, that she was all yella. Buh-bye biotch!

I would be THRILLED if Elizabeth left the show! I cant stand her. I used to respect that she had a lot of facts in her head but watching her over time, I’ve realized she is just emotional and unable to communicate very well. Today’ show was a disaster for her; she should leave – go where she is fawned over – Foxnews can have her! Then the View can find a counterpoint who is smart, articulate, and not an emotional wreck!

Being from an independent voter, who voted for Bush. I honestly can’t stand fox news, it’s the worst ever propaganda news. So, perhaps fox would suit her better. I personally don’t watch the view, as a female voter I just can’t stand constant back and forth bickering. One of the worst things I can’t stand in both parties is the constant know it alls. My party is right yours is wrong. Nothing is ever that black and white.

I think it is important that Elizabeth is on the show, although I strongly disagrees with her, she does represent the other side of view. That is what makes this country so great. We can now disagree.

I’ll be the first to celebrate, when Elizabeth leaves the show. She’s a spoiled brat when things don’t go her way. She hates anyone interrupting her, but she does it to her co-hosts. She needs to take off her rose colored glasses, and face reality. She talks to fast, she mumbles. Finally, Barbara & Whoopie are have stood up to her. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but she acts like she’s the only one right all the time. Fox news take her away!!!!!!!

I agree that the show needs a variety of perspectives, but Elisabeth doesn’t really represent the right very well . If she was able to counter or respond intelligently to the points being made it would be an entirely different thing. She’s only shown that she’s not a critical thinker and cannot concede any fault or problems with the republicans, she’s not credible. They should boot her, she’s an embarrassment.

“The View” is nothing more than a menopausal group of women going after an immature young girl. You would think that these “mature intellectuals”(yes…being sarcastic)would be worried about the choices we have facing us in Nov. I am disgusted with BOTH parties. It’s pretty bad when you are forced to decide between the ” lesser of the two evils ” for the highest office in our country. For those that think THE VIEW is ground breaking, newsworthy and unbiased political discourse on both sides… think again. It’s Hollywood entertainment (unfortunately) at it’s worst!

Elizabeth needs to get off this show asap. She can’t state her opinion because she’s constantly interrupted. It’s a gang fight and it’s getting worse. What is so cool about four old liberals beating up on one conservative? Personally, it has ruined my opinion of Barb, Whoopi and the other hacks. No one deserves to have to put up wiht their crap. forced to listen to The View in the barbershop every time I go my first impression is these are usually a bunch of spoiled obnoxious highly opinionated ladies who know nothing with the exception of Hasslebeck who actually sounds intelligent separate from her conservative views. I don’t mix the two up, but she has an intelligence separate from just saying the political thing you might agree with. If there were peace loving taliban watching the view they would shake their turbaned heads at the arrogance of American woman just as much as Al Bundy and just shut it off. But the truth is they don’t represent most American woman, just a wealthy media clutch of less than 2 percent. I think they should go out and get real jobs, sweat for a living, and lose some weight, then come back and give their “views”. I truly wonder how these women ever even made their money? Show’s what sells in hollywood.

I think it’s hilarious that Elizabeth is being accused of being narrow-minded. What about the other 3 shrews? He who casts the first stone… And who does Barbara think she is? She released a book about how many womens’ husbands she slept with. Who would take a self-professed whore seriously anyway? Whoopi should stick to the movies and who is the other one? in many ways the view is a really cheap show to shoot, put a bunch of semi ecognizable retired women on a couch and let them gab and catfight at each other then charge advertisrs millions a month to get ad placements on a show most people cannot even remember anything that was said. Clever marketing on the part of the producers. Here’s absolutely nothing, but they will air it on our distribution network, now pay us millions!

I don’t mind her Elizabeth’s opinion, but I do mind her intolerance of others views and opinions. As a professional white female (who ONCE supported McCain) EH could really stand to dial it down. I hate to say it; I think she may be rac*st…can you imagine the flack Tim must get for being married to her? Wholly cow.
