Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich are called “Theresienwiese”. Its the largest folk festival in the world. It runs from September 20th through October 5th. Millions make their way to the beautiful Bavarian city of Munich to get raging drunk on the best beer in the world. Well, they have parades, dancing, fairgrounds too, but its mostly about drinking beer. Lots of beer.

I asked a German friend one time why they had festivals all the time there. She told me that they needed to have them so they could drink. Okay. That made sense. And Oktoberfest is the daddy of all festivals. Watch it on our live webcam.
