Howard Dean, leader of the Democratic Party, has opened his mouth again and the results are insulting to pretty much everybody. Read about it below and see a video of Dean’s statements.

Howard Dean has been keeping a low profile lately. I thought he was keeping to himself up there in Vermont downing xanax and trying to figure out how to rescue the Democratic Party from doom. Well, he’s emerged from his hermitage and made a statement about the Republican Party being the ‘white party’.

This reminds me a bit of when he was running for President, prior to ‘the scream’ and he talked about how the Democratic Party should include everybody, even Southerners!! He went on to talk about Southerns in their pick-up trucks with rifles in the back window. I thought he was kidding when I first heard it. Then I realized that he wasn’t. How sad! He hasn’t got a clue that he is completely clueless.

His paternalistic attitude towards the South is apparently only the tip of the iceberg. It seems that it extends to people of color and ‘even women’ as he stated in his speech. Yes, he said ‘even women’. How magnanimous of him.

Now I understand why his wife stays as far away from him as possible.

The Chairman of the Democratic National Party said:

“If you look at folks of color, even women, they’re more successful in the Democratic party than they are in the white, uh, excuse me, in the [laughs] Republican party.”

Let’s evaluate this just for a moment.

George Bush has appointed more women and minorities to positions of power than any other President before him. He didn’t have a big press conference to show off all the people he put into power. He just did it. Unlike Bill Clinton’s ‘Rainbow Coalition’ that was trotted out to show the world all the women, minorities and people with physical infirmities that Clinton showcased for his own benefit. Bush put people in power who could do the job without regard to the color of their skin or their gender, rather than putting putting people in the job because of the color of their skin and gender regardless of rather or not they could do the job. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, people were judged on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.

But ignore the facts. Just believe the spin coming out of the most divisive political party we have seen in a very long time.

The Democrats …. home party of the likes of Senator Joe Biden who got all excited the Democratic Party had found a Black guy who could speak and take baths.

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Then there’s Robert Byrd. What else needs to be said about that?

Of course, how can we forget the party’s messiah, Barack Obama, who told a crowd of wealthy liberals in San Francisco that people in Middle America are xenophobes and cling to their Bibles and guns because they have nothing else. Never mind that Obama is now clinging to his Bible in hopes of convincing those very same Middle Americans that he’s a man of strong Christian faith. No word on whether he’s packing a gun yet or not.

Don’t forget, this is also the party that developed a ‘super-delegate’ system that allows the party elite to override what the common man votes for. You know, just in case the votes don’t go the way the party likes, the super-delegates can fix it. Just ask Hillary Clinton, the first woman to run for President with the Democrats who won all the large states in the primary race, got 18 million votes and is not the party nominee.

But don’t believe the facts. Listen to the spin. The Democrats will tell you what you are supposed to believe. After all, we are the unwashed masses who need them to tell us what we think.

Never mind, John McCain made a statement:

It is disappointing to see Howard Dean trying to use gender and race to divide voters. His comments are insulting, inappropriate and have no place in this election.

So the DNC has put out a statement saying Dean ‘misspoke’. There’s being a lot of misspeaking going on. That’s the new byword for ‘I got caught saying something nasty’. At least they got the statement out hoping people will believe it, even if they have to come back later and say they ‘misspoke’.
