Well, I’m not sure what benchmarks the government is still using to measure success in Iraq, but this has got to be one of them, right? Apparently Fallujah has opened it’s first KFC!
Only a short time ago the city of Fallujah served as stronghold for insurgents. Daily skirmishes, improvised explosive device detonations and public unease made operating a business in the city very difficult.
Today, with improved security throughout the region, the low price of 4,000 dinar, or $3.50, will purchase a full meal at the recently established Kentucky Fried Chicken in the Hey Al Dubat area of the city. The KFC is the first to open for business in the city. Before improved conditions in the city, insurgents threatened business owners, demanding money to support acts of terrorism.
Maybe the plan here is to slowly kill them with trans fats and obesity. Just think of all the oil revenue they can spend on our American culture like McDonalds, toys and television shows. Bets on how long until the first Starbucks opens?

The Colonel Is In Fallujah…
You remember Fallujah, right? A hot bed of anti-Americanism, the only difference between it and San Francisco is that the people there were trying to, and succeeding, in killing American soldiers. Now (via America’s North Shore Journal)

Umm…you guys were suckered right along with Fox News…this is a hoax and/or a pirated KFC. Check out http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com - they called KFC Headquarters (which Fox didn’t bother to do) and debunked the whole thing.

Well, I got the story from breitbart.com, not Foxnews. It has been out there at many different sites and did not originate with Fox News (as much as your webpage is clearly unbiased against Fox). Also, a KFC does exist in Fallujah, it just isn’t a sanctioned one.
