Meet Cynthia McKinney, former Georgia congresswoman who has secured the Green Party nomination for President of the United States. Read her biography and see photos and a video of her below.

Cynthia McKinney was able to secure the nomination of the Green Party for the 2008 election. Earlier today at the party convention, in front of 350 delegates, she told the people that her run for the presidency is to ‘turn this country right-side-up again’ and establish the Green Party as a third party. She doesn’t expect to win the presidency.

Her running mate is hip hop artist and political activist Rosa Clemente. Her platform is ‘Power to the People’. She outlines her platform as a single-payer universal health care, the immediate surrender of American forces on all fronts, the creation of a Department of Peace and reparations for American Blacks.

She and Clemente called for an end to ‘all isms and ideologies’. They called for an end to all things that divide us while using divisive language.

Cynthia McKinney joined the Green Party in 2007 after she became so controversial and embarrassing that she lost her reelection to Congress after serving six terms. Her career of national embarrassment is lengthy and there is nothing in her behavior or rhetoric to indicate anything significant has changed. She left the democratic party in 2006 after she lost her reelection following what one would have expected to be a humiliating episode in which she assaulted a security guard at the Capital and tried to blame him for her assault, playing the race card. That was followed by a classless and graceless exit from the political scene in which she and her entourage spouted hate filled, racist and anti-Semitic epitaphs at news reporters.

And now she’s back …..
