Old foil Don Imus has returned to the news today. He is once again being accused of racist comments for an exchange on his radio show that occurred June 23rd, 2008. Audio/Video and transcript are below.

The latest incident occurred on his new nationally syndicated WABC-AM radio show when discussing black NFL Player Adam “Pacman” Jones. The exchange was began by the sports reporter Warner Wolf: “Here’s a guy suspended all of 2007 following shooting at a Vegas nightclub. He’s been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005.”

Here is what followed about Adam “Pacman” Jones:

“What color is he?” asked Imus.

“He’s African-American,” said Wolf.

“Well, there you go,” said Imus. “Now we know.”

Don Imus, of course, is infamous for on-air comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team in 2007 when he called them “nappy-headed hos”

When confronted later by a New York Times reporter, Imus said that he meant that Pacman Jones “was being picked on because he’s black.” Regardless, Reverend Al Sharpton has stepped into the picture demanding an explanation. When Sharpton wants an explanation, you best duck so we have not heard the end of this latest incident.

Is Imus getting an unfair racism rap or he is intentionally drumming up publicity for his program via controversy? To answer that question you can listen to the audio/video in context below.
