Weasel has more over at the Weasel Times. If you are unsure who Mark Steyn is, he has written several books, one called “America Alone.” The premise of the book is to show that America is the last bastion of hope against the dangers of Islamofacism. I have not read it, although it is on my list. The real crappy thing is that our wonderful Canucks to the north have decided to put Mark and his book on trial. What for you ask? For violating the Canada’s Human Rights commission code which reads:

“A person must not publish, issue or display, or cause to be published, issued or displayed, any statement, publication, notice, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation that…is likely to expose a person or a group or class of persons to hatred or contempt.?

Yeah, you read that right, apparently its illegal to have contempt about folks in Canada. Its a good thing that isn’t the case here or I’d be in jail because I have contempt about a lot of folks in this country (funnily enough most of these people are on the far left). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the ACLU is really annoying at times, but I am glad there are groups like that in this country who would never let crap like this stand. I hope the joke of a commission in Canada gets disbanded, I’ve heard that they are rampart with corruption (shocking huh). Oh well, here’s to hoping.
