New York Representative Vito Fossella got stopped for drunk driving the other night and now has admitted to an ongoing affair and fathering a child with Laura Fay. Something happens when a guy gets in a little bit of trouble. All of the sudden he feels he must cleanse his soul by owning up to every wrong he ever did. OR, as in the case of New York Representative Vito Fossella (R-S.I.) he’s caught like a rat and forced to tell all. Today, Fossella has admitted to an ongoing affair with Laura Fay and that he fathered a child with her three years ago.

Fossella’s staff insist that he and Laura Fay are just good friends. Apparently, they are VERY good friends seeing as they have a 3-year-old daughter together. I imagine that his wife and three children (with his wife) are probably not at all happy today. Dirt Bag! Did I say ‘dirt bag’? Whoops. That slipped out. I misspoke (or mistyped in this case).

It seems that when Vito Fossella got arrested on May 1st for driving under the influence, the first person he called was Laura Fay! Whoops. Bet he didn’t mean for that to happen. He was driving with over twice the amount of alcohol in his system that is considered the legal limit for driving. THEN HE USED HIS ONE PHONE CALL TO CALL HIS FREAKIN’ GIRLFRIEND!!!! If that doesn’t precipitate him stopping drinking then the man really does have an alcohol problem.

“Last night, I made an error in judgment,” Fossella said in a statement the day after his DWI arrest. “As a parent, I know that taking even one drink of alcohol before getting behind the wheel of a car is wrong.”

Uh. Understatement.

Anyway, when Laura Fay showed up to bail the Congressman out of jail people started asking questions. And asking questions. And asking questions. Until finally Congressman Fossella said something like ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT. SHE’S MY BABY MAMA!!! Holy Crap! That got people’s attention. Now everyone is running around looking for pictures and videos of Laura Fay (which we will include here at Right Pundits as soon as we get our grubby little hands on them. Heh!)

Laura Fay Biography

Laura Fay is a Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who lives in Alexandria, Virginia. She is divorced and has a three-year-old daughter with New York Representative Vito Fossella. She is also a marathon runner. Fay and Fossella met more than five years ago when she was a congressional liaison for the Air Force.

Interestingly, Fay and Fossella attended an Air Force sponsored dinner in Great Britain on July 27, 2003. They went there with other guests from the House and Air Force. Fossella was one of only two members of Congress who didn’t take their spouse with them to that dinner. Hmmm ….
