Everybody is getting ready to Recreate 68! There are websites set up, committees put in place and outfits being tie-dyed. The Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado will be the place to be in August!
The progressives are planning quite a show for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado this year. It will be anything BUT democratic. They are calling it Recreate 68! That’s because many of them are hoping to live their glory days of the 1960s when they were young, getting high and getting squirted with fire hoses. Its was such fun.
Now they are IN their 60s and the decade of the 60s seems so far away. Its a vague dream they don’t really remember, but have heard it was really groovy. But the stars are aligning again, hopefully in their favor, and there are high hopes that the Age of Aquarius has not quite yet turned out its lights. People like Thunder and Timber (pictured above) have gone from one end of the age spectrum to the other and would really like to experience a big riot and then be able to recall it afterwards.
This year has so many of the ingredients they need to generate a generation filled with angst and good music! There’s a war going on. Okay, there’s not a draft and no one has to go fight who doesn’t volunteer, but its still a war. AND there was an attack on American soil before the war started so its not QUITE the same as what they enjoyed protesting back in the 60s. Still they were able to create such political discontent that they forced the defeat of America in a foreign war. There is so much hope that they can do the same thing now! It was such fun. Making fun of Soldiers and Marines who can’t/won’t hit you back makes people like Thunder feel like a great big ol’ man!
Its also the 40th anniversary of that wonderful 60s Democratic National Convention. They might be running out of time to Recreate 68. Its now or never in all likelihood. It gets harder and harder to keep marching and yelling at pigs and having dogs chasing you as you start getting a little arthritic and need to remember to take your blood pressure meds. That kind of excitement could make you slap forget to set your watch to remind you that you need to take something for your acid reflux!
Another thing is that adds to the mix is seeing as its the Democratic party its not at all democratic. In fact, they don’t seem to give a big rats arse who voted for who. They are just letting people vote so they feel like they voted and then they (THE MAN!) are going to decide who gets the nomination!!! Now THAT is a good reason to tear the heart out of Denver and leave it a smoldering heap of concrete and ashes in your wake! FAR OUT!
Preparations are well underway. Recreate 68 has sent the Denver City Counsel a manifest insisting they recognize the groups right to free speech. Interestingly, most people who demand the right to free speech demand it loudly and nobody can shut them up.
OH, how they love anarchy! The group hopes to make the violence and bloodshed of 68 look like a small get together. They are ‘peace activists’ after all and you know how violent peace activists are!

I actually thought about donating to the cause. If they want to go protest the convention and cause some riots that would be great. Maybe the mayor of Denver can send the police out and beat the crap out of them like Daly did. I keep telling you, if someone wrote a movie about this election cycle it would never get made because its just not believable.

They are probably still somewhat under the influence of whatever they were under in ‘68.
These folks iritate me. They had all the breaks then made darn sure the rest of us coming behind them did not. Then they said my generation were too serious and concerned about jobs and not about the rest of the world. I feared when they would be old enough to BE the establishment.
Well the former 60’s establishment is as bad or worse than I thought it would be. Unfortunatley, my fears have been realized.
Al Gore, Hillary, Obama, John Kerry,.. this is the best they can do? We’re in trouble, big touble. Yes, the convention this year should be interesting….

Obama = Bobby Kennedy / McCarthy?
McCain = Nixon
Hillary = Humphrey
Iraq = Vietnam
And…guess what?
Radical Islam = Radical Leftists.
Look at what Black Panthers, Weathermen, etc., were saying needed to be done to change America. They were advocating blowing buildings up, killing innocents, etc. They though capitalist America was fundamentally flawed and needed to be reformed by violent upheaval. Sound familiar?
We put Radical Islamics in Guantanomo. We gave radical leftist terrorists tenure at our finest universities.
