Here is the DC Metro’s video of Pope Benedict as a bobblehead doll. The commercial was removed from YouTube after the local Archdiocese of Washington complained.
Pope Benedict Bobblehead (Video)
The Catholic Church said that the image was “unauthorized merchandise” which depicted the Pope in incorrect Papal attire, and was a “bad bobblehead” likeness to boot. Catholics have a terrific sense of alarm when our collection plate is not filled. Read the full story.
The video is a wonderful example of how government wastes your money. The Pope is conducting a Papal mass in Washington DC next week, and with nothing better to do the local transportation authority (DC Metro) decided to make a commercial.
The goal of these bureaucrats was to encourage citizens to take public transportation, as if we are unaware that buses and trains exist in our cities. Remember this story next time liberal do-gooders want to raise your taxes for foolish public spending.

Isn’t it wonderful that we have the libs to tell us what to do and how to do it? Otherwise we’d be so lost!!!
Oh yeah. I’m worried about the rioting too

Metro keeps hiking subway fares so now I know where some of that money is being wasted. It’s interesting that such behavior flags these folks as liberals. Years ago, Metro balked at changing the “Washington National Airport” signs to “Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport”, citing cost as an obstacle to do so. Of course Metro changed the “U Street/Cardozo” signs to “U Street/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo” without complaint.
