I am a little late with this due to the holiday and a huge home improvement project that has been occupying all of my time. Rudy has filed the necessary papers with the FEC and the march towards the inevitable Giuliani Presidency continues.

He’ll break your heart, MDefl. He said the right healing words for several days following 9/11 and people therefore imagine that Giuliani would make a great president. The man is a first class sleaze-ball, still greasy from his long stint in NYC politics. His right-hand man Benard Kerik was just the tip of the iceberg.
Every criticism of Eliot Spitzer’s self-aggranizing prosecutorial agenda applies equally to Giuliani, who as DA used camera-hogging stunts to peddle the image of a no-nonsense law enforcement messiah. He was conned by Ivan Boesky into prosecuting a bunch of innocent I-Bankers, letting Boesky get off with a wrist-slap (but Giuliani got what he needed in the short run – film footage of the I-Bankers doing the “perp walk” in handcuffs, with attendant publicity for himself – who cares if they were all exhonerated later?).
Giuliani has been crassly cashing in on his 9/11 fame for the last five years, grubbing every dollar he can get (millions) and in the process entangling himself with an army of shady characters. There is no free lunch!!! These guys have channelled millions into his pocket for “consulting services” and he owes them big favors.
