Word from Tehran is that General Reza Zarhei has been arrested for praying nude in a brothel with six women.
General Zarhei is Tehran’s chief of police and a member of the dreaded Revolutionary Guard. In Tehran, he has been chiefly behind the recent crackdown on westernized dress, the so-called “Social Moral Security” project. He has dutifully forced women to wear head coverings and other anti-debauchery measures in the interest of public morality.
Now he is arrested for praying nude in a brothel, for that which he preaches against. Reminds me of a certain New York governor.
The Grand Ayatollahs want to keep this all a secret. Who knew? Zarhei will be tried by a secret court for bad sex under the watchful eye of Ayatollah Mahmoud Shahroudi. The Iranian regime has put a gag order on what is left of the Iranian news media.
And they are putting the best face possible given the undeniable circumstances. Of course he was praying in a brothel nude with six nude women! Allah Akbar!
At least General Zarhei was not in a gay bath house. Ahmadinejad would have a tough time explaining that one.
The Iranian regime is a parody of itself, which would be funny if they were not so dangerously minded. The citizenry is one of the most westernized in the Islamic world, and yet the oligarchy at the top one of the most righteously severe.
But it is almost as if the Ayatollahs are doing it all with a wink and a nod. After all, in 2007 Ayatollah Sistani himself discussed m*sterbation, anal sex, and other debauchery on his blog (Ayatollahs have blogs?) in way too much detail.
