Assisted suicide cocktail parolee Jack Kevorkian has announced his intention to run for Congress in Michigan’s 9th District, a seat currently held by Republican Joe Knollenberg. The 9th District includes Oakland County. He will run as an independent and is in the process of obtaining the required 3,000 ballot signatures to get onto the ballot. Well, if Michigan’s Presidential delegates won’t get seated, perhaps Michigan won’t be side-lined afterall. They’ll have their own eletion circus with Dr. Death.
Kevorkian was released on Parole in June after serivng 8 1/2 years of a 10-25 year sentence for assisting in the suicide of a person with Lou Gherig’s diease. His parole officer called it a publicity stunt.

Hi MBT!
Perhaps ol Jack can “help” the more useless members of congress with his special type of service.

MDeFl – I thought of the same thing! The problem is, there are plenty of fairly useless candidates waiting in the wings to take their places!

I wonder if he will slip something into Kennedy’s drink?
Sounds like a publicity stunt. He can’t actually win, can he?
Didn’t realize he has served so much jail time. That is a lot of time compared with his original sentence.

McCain, his parole officer said the same thing – it was a publicity stunt. I doubt if he could even get 1%. This county is suburbia with some wealthy areas. I used to spend a lot of my summers there at my cousins’ houses…
For killing how many people? Not nearly enough time!
