The Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigations are both warning about the 4th of July, 2015 terror alert on high in the US. Depending which agency you listen to, there either are, or are not, credible threats to potential targets, mainly by the so-called, ′Lone Wolf′ attackers. Reports of an increase in chatter on social media by ISIS point to large, fireworks displays, such as the largest in America, the one sponsored by Macy′s in New York City. An estimated 3 million people are expected to attend that one. Experts say that it would be nearly impossible to protect such an event. So are you concerned, possibly even changing your plans for this holiday weekend?

The Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, has been ramping up attacks of late. Just last week, ISIS killed hundreds in several attacks, including two large terrorist events in Tunisia and Kuwait. In Syria and Iraq, the Islamic State has also been very active, murdering many, including 74 children whom did not fast during Ramadan. Meanwhile, a new report shows yet another failing by the Barack Obama administration in confronting ISIS. So far, plans to recruit and train some 5,400 Arab fighters against ISIS have resulted in barely 100 being trained. It seems that finding fighters with no ties to other terrorist groups is mighty hard.

Then we get other news this week that the Obama White House has been busy blocking assistance from our Gulf allies to be sent to the Kurds directly. So far, the Kurds are about the only group in the neighborhood that shows that they can stand up to ISIS. The Kurds have been pleading for small arms ammunition and some heavy weapons for the past year or longer from the United States. But all aid we send goes first to Baghdad, where the politicians decide to keep it for their own troops. Troops that have a tendency to drop their guns and run when ISIS comes around.

So does the latest 4th of July 2015 terror alert being on high worry you? Will you avoid large, public celebrations because of possible lone wolf attacks? Or, if you are a legal gun owner with a proper concealed carry permit handy, still attend such events while packing your Ruger LC9 or LCP handguns? Or is the threat so high that you may drag out your Super Redhawk .454 Casull? If you really want to send ISIS lone wolves to meet their 72 raisins, try a Smith & Wesson .500 Magnum, the world′s most powerful handgun! Either way, even hiding behind a concrete wall won′t save their butts! Enjoy your Independence Day by exercising your God-given, Second Amendment rights!
