While not as wild and crazy as the #KungFury movie, the new Rand Paul ′Sunday, Sunday, Sunday′ video is worth while watching. Done in a ′tongue-in-cheek′ style of a wrestling match, Rand Paul is promoting his big showdown against Barack Obama, Ted Cruz and Lindsay Graham over renewing the Patriot Act and NSA spying provisions. Some critics say that the video, made by Paul′s America′s Liberty PAC, has gone too far, making light of such a serious issue. But I say what difference does it make? Paul′s video might be the ticket to win younger, ignorant voters.
Sure, fire-breathing bald eagles and an ultra-buff, shirtless Rand Paul may be too much for the stogy ′Old Guard′ of Republican politics. But they hate Paul anyway. No, this video is purely targeting a younger, hipper audience. Its MTV meeting the WWE. We also have to face facts, some form of the Patriot Act will be renewed and the NSA will still be able to do some spying. Can a compromise bill be passed in time before the Monday midnight deadline is the question? As there is little else of not happening on Sunday, other than the premier of the new Greg Gutfeld show on the Fox News Channel, Rand Paul should have a good audience for his stand on the Senate floor.
If you have not seen the video yet, here is a link to Rand Paul ′Sunday, Sunday, Sunday′. It may not be as amusing or action-packed as #KungFury. There is no music video by David Hasselhoff for it. But Rand Paul′s America′s Liberty PAC did a fine job. So microwave some popcorn and watch the video, then get ready for the big showdown on the Senate floor. Rand Paul will take on the Patriot Act and NSA spying in a no-holds-bar cage match. Let us hope he can grab a steel chair or has a table to body slam opponents on!
