Kirsten Powers.

When asked what put Power’s over the top for this less than prestigious award, the unanimous panel of judges responded, “Her recent comments on “Special Report”.

Yes, in a weak moment, Ms. Powers sat in the very same chair, on the very same set from which she has defended Obama, campaigned for Obama, and praised his efforts to overhaul healthcare and had the gall to say this:

“My blood pressure goes up every time they say that they’re protecting us from substandard health insurance plans, because there is nothing to support what they’re saying,” Powers said. “I have talked about how I am losing my health insurance. If I want to keep the same health insurance, it’s going to cost twice as much. There’s nothing substandard about my plan. All of the things they say that are not in my plan are in my plan. All of the things they have listed — there’s no explanation for the doubling of my premiums other than the fact it’s subsidizing other people.

“They need to be honest about that — that’s the reason they don’t want to change it,” she continued. “It’s because they’re basically taking the people who are responsible enough to get health insurance in the individual market and asking them to subsidize other people. So they’re taking young, healthy people and asking them to subsidize other people. I don’t think that’s going to last, frankly. I think they’re trying to buy time until they think they’re going to reach this next deadline. I don’t think they’re going to reach it, and when they don’t reach it … I think there is going to be an absolute — now, not just Senators who are up for reelection, you know, calling for this to be fixed — so, I think they’re going to have to respond to that.”

In making her on-air rant, Ms. Powers not only sealed her fate as “Media Hypocrite of the Year” but also exemplified, perhaps as distinctively as anyone ever has, the destructive illusion of modern liberalism.

For eight years now Ms. Powers has used her seat on that set and her column in the “Daily Beast” to back Obama. She did it during his two campaigns, she did it during the healthcare debate, and she did it throughout the shutdown. In all her writings and all her commentary over all those years she was solidly in Obama’s corner. She didn’t have a problem with any of his obvious, inherent efforts to redistribute wealth in ANY of his programs, up to an including healthcare, until it was HER money being redistributed.

By her own admission, HER money “subsidizing other people”, was repulsive, outrageous, and unfair. Furthermore, the fact that this was happening at all was Obama’s fault. He lied and mislead her. He was doing something totally unexpected and completely out of character!

Really? Now look whose lying.

Come on, Kirsten, you are a bright, highly educated women. You work in the eye of the storm, you have access to all the movers and shakers – hell, you sit at the same table with Charles Krauthammer and you didn’t see this coming? Yours is a perfect example of what Rush Limbaugh refers to as “Journalistic Malpractice.”

You’ll have to excuse those of us who don’t walk through life with rose colored glasses on. You’ll have to pardon those of us capable of walking past a gallon of Obama “Kool-Aid” without consuming the entire mixture. We can forgive you for being a lot of things. But being so ignorant, gullible, and self-absorbed as to not give a rat’s backside for everyone else having to pony up for your liberal causes until its YOU ponying up? … That isn’t on the list.

At lot of us are devastated by the damage being done to America and her citizens by this administration. We have zero remorse for blind fools like you who, through your own mindless support, paved Obama’s destructive path. You and your ilk ushered him into office and blindly allowed him to manipulate the system, unconstitutionally alter his own law, hand wavers to his buddies, and deliver us to the jam we are in now.

Elections have consequences and the media’s ability to influence the outcome of those elections is a powerful responsibility. It can be used to ferret out and identify competent, capable leadership, or it can be used to elect charlatans in empty suits.

Guess which one you elected, Kirsten.

It is actually quite sad that while Obama won the vast majority of the female vote in both of his elections, 53% of women now say they can’t trust him, and nearly the same amount now disapproved of his job performance. That said, Kirsten, perhaps you can at least defend your position with the claim you were not alone. I wonder, though, if you will remember that the next time you are called upon by your lib friends to once again promote the notion that it is Republicans who are waging war on women?

For those of us who saw all of this coming, it is gut wrenching to see the kind of reversal we are now witnessing from the likes of Powers, Feinstein, and the growing list of Democrat cowards. We have not forgotten that they all, Ms. Powers included, railed against the government shutdown, crucified Ted Cruz, maligned the Tea Party and referred to us as “terrorists and anti-government radicals”.

Turns out, had the likes of Kirsten Powers spent half as much time listening and paying attention to what Obama was NOT saying as they did the bilge he WAS saying, the hypocrite list might be a lot shorter.

“Buyer Beware”. You get what you vote for…Or what you don’t vote against.
