NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was fired by Boos Allen Hamilton on Tuesday. The defense and intelligence contractor issued a statement saying that Snowden was fired, ″for violations of the form′s code of ethics and firm policy.″ Well, what did you expect them to say? Since BAH is a private corporation, they are less likely to hand out bonuses and promotions to employees who bend the rules and break the law. Unlike those who do so in the Barack Obama administration, IRS, GSA or State Department. Meanwhile, the NSA leaker is getting raked over the coals by the Establishment media. After Guardian reporter Glen Greenwald made sport of MSNBC bubble-brain Mika Brzezinski, she, and apparently the rest of the network, are refusing to call Snowden a whistleblower. Joe ′Schmoe′ Scarborough even went as far as to describe Snowden as looking like a weasel. I wonder if he thinks Ben Affleck is also a weasel for sporting the ′unshaved′ look?
The question of whether or not Snowden is a ′Hero or a Traitor′ has caused some unusual alliances of thought. Who would believe Michael Moore and Julian Assange being on the same side of an issue with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck? Even Dr. Michael Savage has been pitching hard on this topic, calling this the biggest scandal in our times.
In reality, Snowden did not really do all that much. Anybody with an IQ over 50 knew or suspected that our government was monitoring all forms of communications. All Snowden did was to confirm such and give us some idea as to the scope of the NSA surveillance program. Hardly cause for him to spend his life in prison over. We have seen people accused of far worse getting off scott-free by juries.
Big Government leads to Big Tyranny, which then leads us to Big Gulags and Big Death Camps. Big Data helps Big Government in executing this trend-line. Obama says we can trust him as his cronies collect information about every phone call, computer keystroke and credit card transaction we make. Just as we could trust him to spend our tax money wisely, or his tax collectors not abusing their positions of power.
Edward Snowden may be fired by Boos Allen Hamilton but he is a hero and a whistleblower in the truest sense of the term. The NSA leaker has poked the eyes of his masters as they spy on us average, law-abiding citizens. Keep in mind that Snowden admitted that he is a Liberal Democrat and voted for Obama. But he has seen enough to realize that Obama and his administration are a bunch of liars and appear to be doing whatever they can to shred what little remains of our Constitution. Better to be a late-comer hero than traitorous hack for keeping the Establishment in power.
