No, its not Godzilla attacking Tokyo, but a giant rubber duck in Hong Kong. The huge, 5-story tall inflatable duck is floating in Victoria Harbour, giving the city a fun treat. Created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, this duck is just the latest in a series of giant rubber ducky events touring the world. Today the duck is at the Ocean Terminal of Harbour City delighting crowds young and old. Since 2007, Hofman′s rubber ducks have made a splash in 12 cities in 10 different countries, including London, Sydney and Osaka. So why should we give a quack about this?

Aside from it being cute, the giant rubber ducky makes about as much sense as anything else going on today in the news. Sure, I can run through the numbers of the April 2013 jobs report, but it is just more fiction from the Obama administration. Once again we have a lack-luster job growth and yet the unemployment rate dropped to 7.5% because another huge block of Americans allegedly have given up trying to find a job. This is almost as bad as Jay Carney alleging that the Benghazi cover-up is old news and that the GOP are the ones spreading disinformation about the terrorist attack.

North Korea is closer to being able to launch nuclear-tipped missiles at us while Obama does nothing about it. Syria is thumbing their noses at us after Obama wimps out again. America′s first anti-president also named more cabinet officials, a collection of political hacks and well-heeled insiders to oversee the FCC, Commerce Department and Fannie Mae. A study in Oregon proves that government medical coverage does not improve anyone′s health. Meanwhile, ObamaCare continues to grow in regulation and confusion, dooming our entire health industry.

So a giant rubber duck in Hong Kong′s Victoria Harbour is a pleasant reminder that some people do not live and die by what Obama may say or do. Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman has been floating his giant rubber ducky displays since 2007 across the world. Now the show is front and center at the Ocean Terminal of Harbour City.
