Barack Obama is busy this week scaring America over the upcoming sequestration spending cuts due to begin in just 8 days if a deal with Congress cannot be negotiated. The Pentagon is already warning that some 800,000 jobs may be furloughed or lost as a result. Naturally, the White House is blaming Republicans, even though the whole idea behind sequestration came from Obama. Many pundits wonder why Obama still has good approval numbers in the polls while the same polls show two-thirds or more of Americans oppose his policies? I believe that the nation is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Obama is holding the country hostage, using children, ′first responders′, senior citizens and others as human shields But since he gives his hostages free cell phones, food stamps and other goodies, the oppressed still like their captor.
Much of the reason behind this is thanks to the help Obama gets from the Far-Left Media bias. MSNBC′s Chuck Todd may think such bias is a myth, but just look at the facts! The press is more concerned about not being allowed to photograph Obama while he enjoyed his $800,000 golf lesson with Tiger Woods than they are about the state of the economy or other serious issues. Hardly a word is mentioned about Russia flying planes armed with nuclear weapons over Guam the very day Obama was inaugurated! Poor John Kerry′s career as Secretary of State is being hamstrung by our National Debt and the general attitude around the world that Obama is a joke. The Russians took ten days to return Kerry′s phone call as a result.
The Liberal Media bias knows no bounds. Take for example the recent statements by some Democrat lawmakers about the best way for women to defend themselves from being raped. Forget using a gun to protect yourself. Vomit, urinate or faint when a rapist attacks you! Joe Biden advises people to buy a double-barrel shotgun and says he tells his wife just to shoot a couple blasts from their shotgun into the night without aiming any at specific target. When a Republican says or does something silly, well, that gets lead story status on their A-Block for at least a week!
About 66 days ago, Obama promised, for about the 20th time, to not rest one day until every American who wants a job has one. Since then, he has had a multi-million-dollar vacation in Hawaii and now his golf weekend with Tiger. During the campaign debates, Obama dismissed sequestration and promised that it would never happen. Here we are just 8 days away and there appears to be little chance of stopping it. Obama and his fellow Democrats argue that the federal government does not have a spending problem while recent polls show that as many as 83% of the population thinks it does. After the first four years of Barack Obama, we have nothing to show for the nearly $6 Trillion dollars of new debt added to future generations. But I am sure that the Liberal Media bias will somehow do its best to tell those 20-somethings of today that Obama is not responsible when they are taxed into slavery when they are 30-somethings.

Obama will say any thing to win the arguement of the moment. The media never ever replays or bring up past speeches of Obama. Obama is a Saul Alinski rock star. Americans have lowered their standards on idols. Stalin has said the communists were able to take control because of useful idiots. Sad to say the media is full of them. Many will suffer needlessly because they believed the media.

Andy, Obama is just a hustler. Even after 4 years of on the job training, he still doesn’t know how to lead.

Stockholm Syndrome is a fit psychological description, when you see a 50% approval on a guy that has such a consistently poor track record.
If we look at this from a spiritual perspective, I’d say that the moral water tables are at such a low level that national discernment is totally impaired. Too many have replaced God’s commands with hedonism as the north of their lives, and “professing themselves to be wise, they became fools…”, and as judgement “God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts”, for which we see all this proliferation of deviant behaviors, and to top it all they elect one that’s a poster child of it all: killing the unborn, reward laziness, punish honest work, etc.
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient”, one of which is to elect and reelect incompetent and corrupt leaders.

Desensitizing us to numbers has seemed to work pretty well too.
People today hear somethings going to cost a billion trillion dollars and they act like they’re getting quoted for a used car.
Never thought I’d see the day where “a trillion bucks”, (never mind 3) a year for anything was acceptable.
Hell, most people never see a million bucks in their lives yet were conditioned to accept trillions being pissed away as “the new normal”.

Saying that it’s Stockholm syndrome makes it sound like it’s all our fault or at least the fault of those stupid enough to still support him. obama should get some of the blame too. He’s evil on a biblical scale. I still haven’t figured out how he avoided impeachment for the gunrunning he did – “fast and furious” – and for the betrayal of our people in Benghazi. obama’s lying skills are superb. And it’s not just lying. He is so good at avoiding consequences and managing crises. That school massacre last year – obama managed to make that into a personal crusade against law abiding gun owners. How does he do this crap and get away with it?

Hold yer horsees Vic.
We aint seen nothin.
Wait’l the history books get written.
Obama will be portrayed as leading the Exodus of all those oppressed by republicans.
(my apologies to Moses and real Jews)
“The planet will heal, the waters will recede”…
and hopefully they’ll cross the Atlantic to Europe

Vic,
Sad to say it is the fault of a large portion of Americans. Those who support Obama no matter what he says or does. Those who decided not to even go to the polls and vote for Romney for whatever reason. I was not a fan of Mitt, but I swallowed my pride and principles to try to stop Obama.
We can blame the education system, loaded with Liberals, for dumbing down America. We can blame the Media for lying to us. We can blame the entertainment industry, etc. But in the end, it is our own responsibility as citizens to inform ourselves and understand what makes us a free people. Liberty is not easy, which is why there has been so little of it in human history.
I keep mentioning Robert Heinlein’s awesome novel, “Starship Troopers” as a guidebook for what citizenship is all about. The first movie adaptation was okay, but read the book! Heinlein, whom Ronald Reagan was a fan of, laid out in very simple and clear terms the differences between a Republic and a Democracy. What we are witnessing now is the inherent failure that cripples all Democracies, and demonstrates the beauty of a constitutionally-limited Republic, as our Founding Fathers intended.

The sequester is Obama’s fault?
1) Obama demanded an unconditional increase in the debt ceiling.
2) Republicans demanded cuts in spending as a condition for raising the debt ceiling.
3) After acrimonious negotiations, Republicans got what they were demanding and which Obama opposed: spending cuts as a condition for raising the debt ceiling. All of the Republican leaders voted for this deal, and a majority of their caucus, and they chortled proudly about it at the time.
But here on Rightpundits we are in Bizarro World!! The Democrats are blamed for cuts in government spending, and Republican are the ones blaming them! Hilarious.

Tinker;
“The sequester is Obama’s fault?”
Yes, it was his idea from the git-go.
The right is as guilty as the left for accepting these terms a few years back as is the left, and Obama for promising it would never happen.
You’d think by now that everytime Obama makes a promise someone in the room would deck him.
Or we’d at least be able to hear the collective laughter of the nation sounding like a thunderstorm.
But no.
These schmucks buy it anyway.
Even the most desperate of junkies will shoot up mannitol only once before they realize its bullsht.

“But here on Rightpundits we are in Bizarro World!! The Democrats are blamed for cuts in government spending, and Republican are the ones blaming them! Hilarious.”
Yeah, gee… ever try an honest conversation ?
The right in fact does blame Obama for spending cuts…
IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES EINSTEIN !
National security has done everything but improve over the last 4 years, now is not the time to cut in this area.
If you need the details you’re hopeless.
Our single largest contributor to debt n deficit is entitlements.
The left has not cut in this area but instead actually increased its spending
“Entitlements”
The only thing you’re actually “entitled” to should be whats yours.

I suppose BTT did not watch the confirmation hearing for Jack Lew to be the next Treasury Secretary, since he admitted how sequestration did originate from the White House. BTT also probably missed the writings by Bob Woodward, that champion of Conservative-Republican politics, when he exposed Obama and Lew as the ‘authors’ of sequestration.

For liberals, things like the Constitution and History are living entities that can mutate and change to whatever they want them to say.
February 24th, 2013 at 11:51 am
L Rivera, that is because liberals mutate and change to whatever they want to be.
February 24th, 2013 at 1:56 pm
So Patrick @ #13, Mitt’s entire campaign was a liberal issue?
And in your own little corner in your own little chair where you can be whatever you want to be, shall we refer to that as your liberal corner or your mutation chair?
February 24th, 2013 at 2:34 pm
Ron, WTF ? Patrick being in his own chair in some corner ?
WTF is wrong with you ?
You just made the perfect example of you doing/saying exactly what Patrick NEVER SAID, but what you accused him of saying.
Once again, you set up A totally fictitious base for an argument by putting words in someones mouth.
You’ve done this to everyone here at least once.
I know its cliche` to say, but, you need your head examined bro.
“So Patrick @ #13, Mitt’s entire campaign was a liberal issue?”
He never said or implied any such thing.
The truth of the matter is that Romney is not conservative enough, thats that consensus among conservatives. Of course the left sees it differently.
The only thing that validates that idiotic statement is that you think anyone whos not a Marxist is a far right loon.

You gotta love the kibitzing distractions of the rodeo clowns, regardless of how obvious they are.
In the meantime, the GOP runs a close popularity race with meth labs as America overwhelmingly blames them for the sequester which GOP Governors are starting to worry (Brewer) and gun registration (Jindal), the public demanding minimum wage increases, wealth inequality widens as they stick with their “hands off our wealthy contributors loopholes”, GOP disdain for blue collar workers, women, and minorities grows more obvious, Rush now hates America, Rand Paul ranting about privatizing schools because they’re not fixing income inequality, Karl Rove vrs Tea Party, Mitch McConnell losing it over an actress, the GOP supports violence against women, and good lord, where do you want me to stop?
And the wisdom of Rightpundits is for Andrew to flash his anti-abortion/get-out-of-jail-free-card, Micky to don his rodeo clown suit and say he just doesn’t get it, and Patrick to return to his mutation chair and put his right elbow on his right knee, make a fist to tap his forehead with while repeatedly chanting “think! think! think!” to arrive at some matter-of-factual conclusion that a liberal thinks this or that.
And as the GOP spirals down the tube, you folks seem to actually expect be taken with an iota of integrity?
February 24th, 2013 at 6:14 pm
“You gotta love the kibitzing distractions of the rodeo clowns, regardless of how obvious they are.”
“Integrity” ?
Spare us your incomprehensible bullsht pulled out your ass.
You’re the moron putting words in peoples mouths in order to make non-existent arguments.
Show us where Patrick said or implied Romneys “entire campaign was a liberal issue”
You cant, cuz you’re a lying sack of crap
February 25th, 2013 at 6:46 am
Mutation chair? Is that like the Montauk Time Travel Chair?
February 25th, 2013 at 9:36 am
Hes confused, his shrink cant afford a couch.
Maybe Dr. Moreau had a special chair for him
February 25th, 2013 at 9:41 am
