The President outlined his gun control plan in his speech yesterday. He signed 23 executive orders that will be enacted right away. Now some of these orders can be understandable to both sides of the argument, like better background checks and gun education to all new gun owners. Yet, what about the other 21 executive dictates?
Here is a link with all 23 executive orders via The Blaze.
But what does this all really mean? Number 9 really peaked my interest, “9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.” So would that not expose our own Attorney General, and his department? They are implicated in the selling of guns that are involved in the death of Boarder Patrol Agents and in numerous drug related incidents in Mexico and America? A situation fondly called Fast and Furious.
Number 16 is also interesting when considering your personal rights: “16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.” This will have your doctor be an informant to the government. Doctors will now have to ask their patients if they own or if there are guns in their home. This is to protect us from the mentally ill who may want to hurt themselves or someone else. Mental illness education and awareness is needed but to have doctors subject all patients, which will be demanded, to this questioning is an infringement on the personal rights of American citizens.
Where does the line to personal freedoms and government control begin and end? Does anyone know anymore?

Is Biden the official pen carrier or did he bring the coffee?
Kasey, we all know this president does not respect the constitution. A lot of prior presidents have tried to usurp constitutional power away from congress using various means: line item veto (Reagan), signing notes (Bush), and executive orders. Usually Congress fights back and the press exposes the power grab. The idiots in the press are complicit this time.

This whole Gun Issue is going to be
a Big Black Eye for Obama . . . .no . . .wait

Bit of a leap from “does not prohibit” docs from asking about guns in the home to “will now have to ask their patients…. which will be demanded,” wouldn’t you say?

Not a leap at all. Knowing how medical malpractice works, you can expect to find a new standard form for it so the docs cover their butts as usual.

Today, Friday Jan. 18, marks the one year anniversary of the last time Obama met with his Jobs Council. Nice to see just how important helping 24 million unemployed Americans is to our Dear Leader. You know, the issue Obama says he works everyday on. What a LIAR!!!

“Not a leap at all. Knowing how medical malpractice works, you can expect to find a new standard form for it so the docs cover their butts as usual.”
That may akin to the leap Manti Te’o made when he told people about his “girlfriend”.

B.O. is making marks on paper & the “special needs” VP is pretending he can read.

Their puppeteer dressed them & put them in front of the cameras; they’ve got to pretend like they’re doing something!

Just read this on MSN.com
“Five people were wounded in accidents at gun shows in North Carolina, Ohio and Indiana on Saturday, according to authorities.”
I don’t think anything else needs to be said.

Andy, I agree with you, I think you are only reinforcing my point, which is everyone having a gun simply increasing the chances of more people being shot.
Is this the Tombstone defense? If everyone has a gun then no one shoots?

Gun Appreciation Day?
Really?
Well, at least they are “in bed” with the right groups.
The event’s founder, Larry Ward has rejected claims that he’s an extremist, but earlier this week he sparked outrage when he suggested that slavery could have been prevented in the United States if African Americans were allowed to carry guns.
Nat Turner anyone?
Additionally, the event has garnered sponsorship from A3P, a white nationalist group.
Oh well, on the local Detroit television news they reported a 300% increase in business.
Any gun regulation now is somewhat of a moot point.
The events of the past few months, the tone-deaf proclamations of the NRA and the mere discussion of something as outrageous as consistent background checks has resulted in the gun industry having a banner year.
So we have that going for us.
I would imagine now that everyone is adequately armed, and has secured a considerable supply of ammo, we should realize the inevitable decrease in crime and death that so many people insist will happen.
