According to the AP, Fox News has hired former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich as an analyst for its network. Kucinich served 8 terms in Congress and ran for the Democratic Presidential nomination a number of times. Prior to coming to DC, he was Mayor of Cleveland.

According to Roger Ailes, Fox Chairman, “I’ve always been impressed with Rep. Kucinich’s fearlessness and thoughtfulness about important issues. His willingness to take a stand from his point of view makes him a valuable voice in our country’s debate.”
I assume one of the main reasons for hiring Kucinich is his winsome wife, Elizabeth, who, for a number of years, was voted among the most beautiful women in DC. We can look forward for her to also appear on Fox News with her diminutive spouse.
Kucinich is likely to provide an actual liberal counterpunch compared to some of the others who take that side in their debates. I’m assuming that he will do more than, for example, Alan Colmes, whose sole job duties, when he shared a show with Hannity, was to say, ‘Time for a commercial.’

Back in 08, a friend called to tell me that he was going to a kucinich campaign event about 50 miles from his home, He pointed out that he figured not very many people would be there, so he could get his picture taken with leggy liz. It turned out that he was right, and it hangs in his home office.
