This story is hilarious, not for the artwork itself but for the reaction of liberals everywhere expressing outrage over one individual’s political expression in art. The artist in none other than Glenn Beck, and his piece is titled “Obama in Pee Pee” which mainstream media is reporting professionally as “Obama in a Jar of Urine.”
Sure, you remember Glenn Beck. He once had a popular Fox News Channel show which mainly consisted of himself pontificating about history, for which he is knowledgeable, mixed with a healthy dose of conspiracy theories for which he was on thinner yet entertaining ground. He eventually went off air to deal with some challenging medical issues, and we thought out of our lives forever.
But now he is back in the mix as an apparently successful artist today rather than political prognosticator. To raise money for charity, Beck placed an advertisement on Ebay for his masterpiece which you can see above. The Obama Pee Pee auction was well over $10,000 by the time liberals began complaining to the online auction site. The advertisement was pulled without any explanation from the site. Read more details here.
So is Obama in a jar of urine art? I’ll leave that judgment to you, my dear readers. With hundreds of bids and a value of $11,300 (and rapidly rising) by the time the ad was removed, clearly the marketplace is labeling it art. And rather valuable art at that, selling for more money than many artists can make in an entire year.

Beck didn’t leave Fox for health issues. He started his own production company and BLAZETV.

Great to see a GOP media icon polishing up the party brand by selling a jar of piss online. I think Beck’s performance piece definitely counts as a valid form of artistic-social commentary.
The post election image of a far right conservative stalwart selling a vessel of human waste is perhaps more of an ironic, political statement than Beck realizes.

11K for a jar of weewee?!? Im just pissed I didn’t think of that first.

“11K for a jar of weewee?!? Im just pissed I didn’t think of that first.”
Just think. After the election, with all the Republicans now REALLY, REALLY hating Obama, you could make a fortune helping them vent buy selling stuff like this, Obama voodoo dolls, punching bags, and Obama shooting range targets.
Anything to help these guys cool off and keep the streets safe.

The Liberal Left are such hypocrites. Perfectly fine to them that “Piss Christ” is art to them. Calling a conservative woman “slut” and “cunt” is acceptable too…BUT to place a plastic image of their “Savior” Oblamo in yellow water is despicable and unacceptable.
Beck is alittle loony but he has made his point. The Left can dish it out but they are thinned skinned when having to take it.
November 29th, 2012 at 6:24 am
Sorry, RonM, but Beck is NOT a Republican. He might qualify as a Libertarian to some degree. Beck considers himself an entertainer which he does well at. Quite well, actually, pulling in about $80 million a year!

This ranks right up there with Christ portrayed in cow dung on the class-o-meter. Freedom of speech, I guess.
And Beck did not leave Fox for health reasons… he left because despite high ratings, his show was not generating ad revenues due to boycotts. Towards the end of his run, most if not all of his advertisers were Goldline, Survival Seeds (my personal fave!!) and other Fox shows.

Who gives a sht.
CNN couldnt handle his point regardless of excellent ratings. FOX gave him the platform he needed. He made his point and left all the much wealthier.
He also stated many times he did not intend to be a permanent fixture at FOX, and yes, after drilling home the most important issues he became mundane and boring.
If the lefts boycotts were such a contributing factor FOX wouldnt exist at all.
So I aint buying that BS

All of a sudden I feel like peeing in a cup and I’m not even stoned.
I do have an Obama bobble head that I put my TP rolls on.
I’ve had to replace the spring twice in three years.

The last time I saw Beck on TV it was on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), the home of Paul Crouch and his pink-haired wife (she makes Tammy Faye look sedate).
He was hawking the prosperity pitch, that is, if the viewers send the network money (sowing the seeds) they will realize increased income (huh?).
It is a strategy that is as old as time (Rev. Ike, the noted Black preacher mined this territory for years), but I have to admit I was surprised to see Beck stoop to this kind of transparent tactic.
Yeah, I watch televangelists; I simply find it hard to look away from such an obvious scam and degree of hucksterism.
I have done some direct marketing on television (late night, $19.95 for exorbitantly overpriced snake oil, you know the drill), but always had to admire the sale of salvation. No product cost, no inventory, repeat business and no taxes.
I remember when the government went after Paula White and Joyce Meyer among others to strip them of their religious exemption.
The religious hucksters prevailed, but it was reported that Joyce Meyer was bringing in $60 million a year and she is certainly not among the top producers.
Wow!
I have to admit that even though I am an agnostic I could certainly construct a compelling message. It is even easier in poor economic times. Hmm.. I wonder big money and no taxes; simply make a few tapes and beam them via satellite around the world?
I know I should feel bad for the “sheep”, but they do get a perceived value as it appears they may feel they are simply paying the “cover charge” to heaven.
Yeah, I guess I can’t blame Beck, it may be more honorable than that swill he used to dispense.
I agree with Micky, you don’t “have” to be highly educated to be intelligent (Bill Gates), but for someone (Beck) that flunked the only college class he ever took (in theology, no less) it took no small degree of hubris to play the “professor” in his faux classroom on Fox.
November 29th, 2012 at 11:56 am
The funniest thing about this long and boring video is right at the end. Beck holds up a beer bottle and says his next work of art will involve Michelle Obama’s anatomy. LMAO!
November 29th, 2012 at 12:41 pm
“it took no small degree of hubris to play the “professor” in his faux classroom on Fox.”
Define “faux classroom”
I’ve spent a day in a bar and learned more than all the years in my public ed History class.
Mr. Ono 1969 Robert Louis Stevenson intermediate school (junior high everywhere else)
” What design do todays automobiles and Coca Cola bottles have in common today?”
And he proceeded to draw us a picture of a coke bottle laying on its side, with wheels.
I walked out of the class, went home and burned all my Hot Wheels collection and had a Pepsi

Faux classroom
When Beck would go over-the-top and put on a cap and gown, stand at a lecturn, wear his glasses halfway down his nose while he stood in front of a chalkboard while waving a pointer.
I am not sure which professor was more believable, Beck or the one providing insight to Gilligan and the Skipper (even though I was jealous because I was pretty sure he was getting a little bit of “Ginger”).

“When Beck would go over-the-top and put on a cap and gown, stand at a lecturn, wear his glasses halfway down his nose while he stood in front of a chalkboard while waving a pointer.”
And thats different than half the ass holes I sat in front of for 3 1/2 years ?
They wore corduroy jackets with leather elbows, round “John Lennon” granny glasses, a bunch of cheap Indian turquoise n silver jewelry, some puka shells and Birkenstocks with socks.
Should of seen my Polynesian culture professor.
If she had a bone in her nose and a spear the costume would be complete.
Hated the whites being in Hawaii, but was an easy credit.
Would get in car every evening light up a Kool and drive off in her Cadillac full of old Mickey D wrappers

Andy Z – I never called Beck a Republican if you re-read my post. And where did you get that $$ amount?
November 30th, 2012 at 1:34 pm
Ron, he is on the Forbes list so look it up yourself. $80 million is about what they reported.
Stop wasting people’s time asking them to prove facts that you are unwilling to get yourself. You are the guy, after all, who doesn’t even know black people in Mississippi are poor, and that they are Democrat, and you want someone else to get you what is a priori data for serious political pundits. When people give you information, the correct thing to do is look it up yourself and then ask if you cannot find it. Ignorance is bliss, they say, so feel free to be that way but don’t waste people’s time!
November 30th, 2012 at 2:01 pm
Patrick, There is no OFFICIAL data for a person’s income outside of the IRS. And your obsession with poor Blacks still lacks either census or other data. Like what I gave you showing lower education levels in Red States.
I’m still waiting……!
November 30th, 2012 at 2:15 pm
You have never ever heard of exit polls and census data have you? You are incapable of googling something like, oh say, “income levels in mississippi by race” or some such? I don’t mind you being ignorant, but I do mind you being belligerent about it. You need to stop it now. Educate yourself. It is nobody else’s job.
November 30th, 2012 at 3:17 pm
I DO mind YOU being ignorant. How is an exit poll a sampling of a populous like a census is? Polling who, exiting WHAT? Just polling registered, actual voters? A third of the adult population…..lol.
How about you take a basic statistics class. No idiot would reference exit polling data for anything other than analyzing political stats. Not overall population demographic. Geez…..
Tellyou what. Seeing as you can’t direct me to you (pulled from thin air) non-existant “facts”, I’ll try to find something RELEVANT from the Dept. of Ed., Dept. of Labor, I.R.S…..etc.
Exit polling…..ROTFLMAO…..
November 30th, 2012 at 3:49 pm
Patrick;
“black people in Mississippi are poor,”
Yup, some of the poorest.

LOL Micky, can you believe that in 2012 someone doesn’t know that? God love your patience and endless time if you now show him that black people vote for Democrats. LMAO. Reminds me that some people actually do have the job of teaching one-column addition to adults.

He puts mint jelly on his turkey
November 30th, 2012 at 10:38 pm
No way! Everyone knows that the only legitimate use of mint leaves is in a Mojito.

Sht Ron, good for you, Ikes had 60 + years to get into your memory.
Folks have been black-n-po in Mississippi fo-eva !
And uh, yeah… you did call Beck a republican.
Precisely, “A “GOP” media icon”.
“GOP” stands for the grand ole party, those would be the Republicans, who have been around much longer than Ike.
But lemme guess, your bs excuse out of this one will be…
A- “I never used the word “Republican”.
B- “Beck is just faking it for ratings, he’s actually a liberal”.
C “I’m going to deflect by mentioning Bush and WMD over and over.
