With just 37 days to go, talks on resolving the fiscal cliff stalled during the Thanksgiving holiday break. But in the past ten days, it has become very clear that while Republicans, like Sen. Lindsey Graham are prepared to compromise on some tax revenue increases, including raising the federal gasoline tax, Democrats have yet to budge an inch on any spending cuts, let alone entitlement reforms to Social Security and MediCare. Senate Democrat Dick Durbin offered very little during his appearances on the Sunday talk shows as the United States faces another political battle over the federal budget, taxes, and the debt ceiling. Meanwhile, the Russian news service, Pravda, had some harsh criticism for Barack Obama, saying that he was reelected to the White House by an ″illiterate society″ and called Obama a Communist!
Yes, it is pretty funny when Pravda calls Obama a Communist. An article from last week entitled ″Obama′s Soviet Mistake″ slams Obama for both his economic policy, as well as the rising militarism. Just read this quote from the article:
″Well, any normal individual understands that as true but liberalism is a psychosis . O’bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with projects like “fast and furious” and there is still no sign of ending it. He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama’s fools and Stalin’s fools share the same drink of illusion.″
Pravda is open to the possibility that America is not a bunch of stupid idiots. That the reason Obama won reelection was from voter fraud, aided by the George Soros who owns the company that counts the votes. The current wave of petitions calling for states to secede is a sign to Russia that not all Americans are dimwits supporting the failed ideology of Marxist Socialism. Pravda also understands the clear connection between religion and liberty, pointing to Obama′s war against Christianity and how the Christian Church is resisting.
With fiscal cliff talks stalled for the holidays, is there any real hope that a deal will be brokered in the next 37 days? Probably not, which may turn out to be a good thing. Senate Democrat Dick Durbin does not seem will to compromise on the major issues of reforming Social Security and other entitlement programs. While some Republicans like Lindsey Graham appear ready to accept tax increases to hold off an economic disaster for the United States, there is no real leadership coming from Barack Obama and his White House. This is understandable, especially if you agree with Pravda that Obama is a Communist and was reelected by an ″illiterate society.″ As the song says, what Christmas we get we deserve!

Please stop LYING and exaggerating. “PRAVDA” has said nothing. A freelance contributor named Xavier Lerma wrote an Op-Ed piece “in” Pravda. You make it sound as if Pravda’s editorial broad wrote some official Obama assessment.
One freelancer writing in the paper does not make what he wrote “Pravda’s” opinion.
Lerma’s a dedicated right-wing blogger. Nothing more.
As usual, it takes a mere 5 minutes of fact checking to find contributors on this site stretching the truth.

Thought I’d have some fun quoting from Pravda too….
“….Did he actually say that the most dangerous enemy of the United States of America is Russia? Then Mitt Romney is a remnant of the Bush regime, lock, stock and barrel, lined up with the Bush era cronies waiting to spring into action the second the election is finished – you know, the guys who left us all in this almighty mess, the guys who screwed up the economy big-time and left Barack Obama with a massive financial black hole to fill……”
———————————
“…..In short, Romney represents the 1980s, Bush-style out-of-touch, do-all-to-please-the-cronies, look-after-the-elite, to-hell-with-the-people style of politics. Barack Obama, on the other hand, represents a new approach for the twenty-first century. We have seen four short years of what he does, confronted with Republican-era nightmares, and we like what we see.”
-Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey

“you know, the guys who left us all in this almighty mess, the guys who screwed up the economy big-time and left Barack Obama with a massive financial black hole to fill……””
How creative.
I guess the 111th congress, Dodd, Frank, Schumer had nothing to do with it ?
Did they forget both McCain and Bush going in front of congress warning them of the impending doom ?
To which Fwank said “dont worry about it. The economys fine”

Just quoting “Pravda” like Andrew Zarowny did Micky. He considers Pravda a reliable enough source to base positions on. Just thought I’d try it too.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:50 am
How long before it becomes “Remember the Tea Party?” and “Who was Grover Nordquist?”
Not soon enough.
Perhaps this will shine a light on lobbying, 527’s and SuperPacs, none of which should be legal as they are nothing more than “government for sale”.
One six year term would be good. Politics as public service instead of a “career”.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:58 am
I am hoping that “blogs” are no trotted out as “reference” sources.
Linking to them to highlight another person writing an opinion that is similar to the commenter is one thing and is certainly appropriate if that is noted, but to link to some TV hack with a consistently biased opinion and claim it as anything close to “fact” is disingenuous.
For instance, Rush saying Valerie Fluke is a whore says more about the commentator than the target of the slander. In a case such as this, who is the “whore”?

“Just quoting “Pravda” like Andrew Zarowny did Micky. He considers Pravda a reliable enough source to base positions on. Just thought I’d try it too..
Maybe they’re trying to be fair n balanced.
But both examples were inaccurate.
Barrys policies no doubt have commy components.
And theres no way in hell barrys inheritance is all Bushs fault.
It took decades of progressive and RINO policies to get where we are at.
And by no means has barry set an enthusiastic tone for the last or next four years.
The blame Bush thing is as dead as ” Hope n Change” which quite honestly has become “WTF” ?

Micky – Nah. Pravda Online is owned by Greek oligarchs and reads 90% like “Breitbart” from what I’ve seen. Some writers bought the rights to the name “Pravda” after Yeltsin closed the real Pravda in the 90’s.
A mere 5 minutes to find out:
-Pravda.Ru has NOTHING to do with the original Pravda.
-The story was written by a freelancer. Not the editorial board or editorial staff, or even full-time staff.
-The freelancer writes nothing but hit pieces on American Democrats. Odd considering you’d think he’d have plenty political stories to write about concerning Russian issues.
Back to the here and now. Most Americans understand the garbage economy/financial sector Bush left Obama and the horrible GLOBAL ECONOMY that’s causing such a slow recovery at home. That’s why he got re-elected. As for gifts? What? Healthcare? He ran on that in 2008 and (partially) delivered. And I don’t recall Obama changing anything with entitlement programs since he took office. Welfare and Food stamps haven’t changed, and those BUSHPHONES are the same one’s they were back in 2005 when the program was started.
(Calling them Obamaphones just another GOP distortion straight from talk radio…)
November 26th, 2012 at 1:46 pm
Well, Pravda should know. Takes one to know one, as they say. The funny thing is that Russia has moved on from their failed communist model while Obama is too stupid to know any better.
Yeah he’s a commie alright. Luckily Obama is too incompetent to implement his Orwellian ideal anytime soon.
November 26th, 2012 at 1:46 pm
You guys can squawk. Obama is destroying this country and the useful idiots who re-elected him made it possible. The rational and logical Americans who produce know this. The republicans have been no help in stopping this mess. The truth is Bush did not cause this mess even though the media and the Democrats keeps screaming this lie, and the useful idiots believe it. The economy went down hill when the Democrats won congress in 2007. They put the medal to the pedal on spending and they have not stopped. Left want to destroy any thing normal and decent and will keep this up until there is nothing left. The Democrats and Media Rebels are bent on destroying the human race. One comfort is we all are going to die and meet God. It does not matter if you beleve in God or not or an after life or not. Harm comes to those who does evil and The Media and Democrats are evil, so someday soon they will have to deal with the consequences of all the harm they have caused.

@ RonM
At least Xavier Lerma sounds more like somebody who should write for Pravda than Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey!
How many times have we seen blogs from MediaMatters, HuffPo or DailyKos used as sources for articles in the NYTimes or WashPo? All too often. Most of the content from MSNBC is from Liberal junk blogs with no fact checking.
I saw Paul Begala on TV again today repeating the LIE that the House Republicans are to blame for reducing spending on embassy security, when IN FACT, the Democrats on the appropriations committee were the ones who voted in unison. Even when questioned during her appearance before the Gov’t Reform Committee, the woman in charge of such from the State Department said, UNDER OATH, that budget concerns did not play a role in the decision not to improve security in Benghazi.
November 27th, 2012 at 6:52 am
@ Buzz,
Patrick makes the basic point here, if anyone should know who a Communist is, it would be somebody from Pravda. Which is pretty much the reason I jumped on this. Obama is a Marxist and the people who voted for him are fools.
November 27th, 2012 at 8:34 am
“At least Xavier Lerma sounds more like somebody who should write for Pravda than Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey!”
Yeah, but they BOTH write “in” Pravda. Not “for” Pravda as neither is on the editorial staff. So the headline for this story “…Pravda calls Obama a Communist” and subsequent references to what Pravda “says” about Obama, are grossly misleading at best, and an outright lie at worst.
I will grant that maybe Andrew doesn’t know the difference between contributed and editorial content.
“LIE that the House Republicans are to blame for reducing spending on embassy security, when IN FACT, the Democrats on the appropriations committee were the ones who voted in unison.”
I’ll look up the ACTUAL bill, unless you have the link. This stuff is on the record, so I’d prefer to see the exact wording and vote call.
“Patrick makes the basic point here, if anyone should know who a Communist is, it would be somebody from Pravda.”
Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey writes for Pravda in the same capacity as Xavier Lerma, so your assertion is moot.
“..Which is pretty much the reason I jumped on this. Obama is a Marxist and the people who voted for him are fools.”
If you could point out which American industries Obama has seized and nationalized, I’ll grant you that Obama’s a Marxist. If you can’t, I’ll assume that you have no idea what the term “Marxist” means, and that you applied it “foolishly”.
November 27th, 2012 at 1:07 pm
Too funny. Leave it to the socialists to defend Pravda. Now criticize Lennon or Marx and watch the Rons go thru the roof! LMAO
November 27th, 2012 at 1:59 pm
“-The story was written by a freelancer. Not the editorial board or editorial staff, or even full-time staff.”
Freelance is not the point.
The point is that they would carry commy crap like the Times carry’s Krugmans crap.
This rag, “Pravda”, may boast American or modern values, but sht like this confuses the hell out of me.
A link to an article reads..
“Violence against women; A collective disgrace”
And right under that title theres this ad
“Hottest Dominican brides.
View profiles with photo & video. Find Your Wife in Dominican Rep.”
AmoLatina.com
================
“Micky – Nah. Pravda Online is owned by Greek oligarchs and reads 90% like “Breitbart” from what I’ve seen. ”
And there you have it.
Breitbart is one of my heros
But, carrying ads for mail order brides in any civilized society still confuses me.

“If you could point out which American industries Obama has seized and nationalized, I’ll grant you that Obama’s a Marxist. If you can’t, I’ll assume that you have no idea what the term “Marxist” means, and that you applied it “foolishly”.”
Hey bozo, as you see above I confess being confused.
I guess I could look further into it but in all honesty, I dont give that much a sht in this case to know one way or the other because I’m under no confusion as to what a terrible president we have.
As far as Marx goes, you dont get to draw your own parameters out of some desire to simplify your executions of calling people foolish or stupid.
As far as Obama “seizing” and nationalizing industries goes… we could start with the healthcare industry(s) and I’m pretty sure I’d win that debate.
If not, we could look at his desire to ruin the coal industry to make room for green sht.
Also, its not a far stretch at all to call a president a Marxist when hes confessed publicly numerous times to adhere to the ideology without actually saying “Karl Marx” .
“In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labor, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labor, has vanished; after labor has become not only a means of life but life’s prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-around development of the individual, and all the springs of co-operative wealth flow more abundantly—only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!”
The origin of this phrasing has also been attributed to the French Utopian Morelly, who proposed in his 1755 Code of Nature “Sacred and Fundamental Laws that would tear out the roots of vice and of all the evils of a society” including
I. Nothing in society will belong to anyone, either as a personal possession or as capital goods, except the things for which the person has immediate use, for either his needs, his pleasures, or his daily work.
II. Every citizen will be a public man, sustained by, supported by, and occupied at the public expense.
III. Every citizen will make his particular contribution to the activities of the community according to his capacity, his talent and his age; it is on this basis that his duties will be determined, in conformity with the distributive laws.
Obama;
“At some point you’ve made enough money.”
“I think when you spread the wealth around you give a chance to everyone”
If I have to draw the similarities for you, you’re not that bright
November 27th, 2012 at 2:29 pm
Yeah, I remember the ad running on this site for assault rifles at the time of the Colorado Movie theater shootings and commented on it at the time.

Yeah, Ron, if you get banned, it is for this type of paragraph, not for calling someone a “teabilly”, which I thought was rather clever.
You are not the first.
November 27th, 2012 at 2:40 pm
buzzbee – Yep. Some people need debating “training wheels” I guess.
November 27th, 2012 at 3:04 pm
Micky – “As far as Obama “seizing” and nationalizing industries goes… we could start with the healthcare industry(s) and I’m pretty sure I’d win that debate.”
Which companies has Obama nationalized? Just give me one. Anything. Health provider…..Coal Mine, Oil company…….etc..Best I can tell, Amtrak was nationalized before he was president.
And how about you cite the FULL QUOTES!:
“We’re not, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.” -Barack Obama.
http://themoderatevoice.com/70835/the-out-of-context-quote-award/
“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success, too… My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody…..
…..If you’ve got a plumbing business, you’re gonna be better off if you’ve got a whole bunch of customers who can afford to hire you, and right now everybody’s so pinched that business is bad for everybody and I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” -Barack Obama.
I.e…If more customers have money to hire you, it spreads the wealth around….
Micky – Once again. Can you please do your homework and not take quotes out of context.
Kinda like cheating you know! Your bright enough to do that right?
November 27th, 2012 at 3:11 pm
“You’re” bright enough. That is.

RonM,
Obama may not have ‘nationalized’ any industry according to Webster, but his policies and regulations are continually placing all businesses under more and more federal control. Compliance with federal regulations is costing businesses well over a $1 Trillion dollars per year and will only get worse once ObamaCare is fully implemented.
Obama told SEIU back when he was campaigning in 2007 that he supports the goal of a single-payer healthcare system, but knows that he could not bring it about immediately. So we have this next step of his which will eventually wipe out private health insurance providers.
Obama also wants to wipe out the coal industry well before a rational replacement can be put in place. His moves against the oil and natural gas industries is not helping. How’s that electric car industry doing? When will ‘Government Motors’ start producing Chevy Volts again?
