One of the mindless mantras coming from the left and repeated endlessly by President Obama is this idea that corporations are not people. Does the president really believe this? It’s hard to say.
But what’s clear is that, to believe such a thing, you’re required to suspend all rational thought and ignore both the Constitution and over 200 years of legal precedent. Romney was mocked for telling liberals that, “corporations are people.” He received jeers from hecklers for this statement, but he underscored his point by saying that “everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people.” The hecklers laughed derisively and Romney asked a question they, nor any other liberal, has ever effectively answered. Regarding earnings made by a corporation, he asked them, “where do you think it goes?”
It’s a question I would challenge any liberal to answer. If corporate earnings do not go to people, where do they go?
More to the point, how do corporations begin? Do they just spontaneously appear? How do they grow? Who makes their products or deliver their services? Who signs the documents creating the corporation and regulating it? When corporations fail, what happens to them? These are all questions with a very obvious answer. An answer that even a liberal can figure out, if they try real hard!
And while President Obama repeats the “corporations are not people” mantra to mindless liberals, his administration knows better and acts accordingly. To prove the point, I’ll offer two relevant examples.
TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION?
First of all, we know the American Revolution took place mainly over the idea of “taxation without representation.” Paying taxes was not so much an anathema to Americans as much as the thought of being taxed without having a voice in the parliament. If they had no voice, how could they feel they were being taxed in a fair and legitimate way? They couldn’t, and thus the American Revolution began to take shape.
Deeply embedded in the American psyche is this idea of the unfairness of taxation without representation. Those who pay taxes must have a voice in what taxes will be payed, how much, and how often.
Now, here is another question that even liberals can get. Do corporations pay taxes?
Just nod your head. Yes, they pay taxes.
They pay all kinds of taxes, as does every employee of the corporation. But if corporations are not people, then they shouldn’t be paying taxes, correct? But they do, and therefore, just as a corporation has a right to take out an ad to market it’s products or services, it has a right to petition Congress. On to my second point.
CAN CORPORATIONS BE PROSECUTED?
If asked if a corporation can be prosecuted, the average person might have to take some time to think this over. On the one hand, employees of a corporation can certainly be prosecuted. But, can the corporation itself be prosecuted?
The Obama Administration’s answer to this question is a resounding YES! How do we know this? Well, as the Wall Street Journal will point out in tomorrow’s print edition (posted online just hours ago)…
A persistent media-liberal lament—make that a cliché—is that too few financiers have been prosecuted for the financial crisis. But maybe that’s because when the Obama Administration tries to prosecute a specific individual for a specific crime, it turns out there was no crime.
So, instead of prosecuting individuals, the Obama Administration is prosecuting the companies in hopes of getting convictions. The WSJ had this to say of this interesting new twist…
The Journal recently reported that another enforcement action against J.P. Morgan will include no charges against individuals. And on Tuesday New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman sued Credit Suisse CSGN.VX +1.75% over still more mortgage deals, and again with no human defendants. What a concept: wrongdoing by banks that includes no wrongdoing by any bankers.
So, while the Obama Administration says one thing (corporations aren’t people), they are doing another (treating corporations like people). What do they call someone who does that?
So, as Romney pointed out last year, of course corporations are people. They can be nothing else.
Just as government itself is “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” corporations are also “of the people, by the people, and for the people”; only, on a more limited scale and subject to the authority of state and federal government. All are made up of people, all pay taxes, and all must have the right free speech as outlined in the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights.
Nuff said!

The elections OVER!
November 26th, 2012 at 7:00 am
Think again, RonM! The 2014 campaign is already underway and we’ll start getting public commitments for 2016 soon, too.
November 26th, 2012 at 7:32 am
Small companies pay taxes, middle sized companies pay corporate taxes, large corporations?
Eh, not so much.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:12 am
The 2012 elections are over, granted. At the same time, this issue predates the 2012 election, going back to Citizens United and the president’s odd decision to berate Supreme Court justices during a State of The Union speech. This will continue to be an issue for one major reason; Democrats want this to remain an issue.
Democrats want business to remain beholden to them, giving donations as expected, but they don’t want to give business people a voice. Unfortunately for them, they have the First Amendment staring them in the face. But that doesn’t mean much, they’ll continue to try and find ways around that to restrict free speech.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:18 am
Buzz,
Big companies pay a great deal of taxes. I will grant you that multinational corporations can avoid some US taxes, but their US-based employees pay taxes too.
And the point I will add is that, the higher taxes go in this country, the more jobs will disappear from our economy. Why would a company stay in the US and pay 40% to the federal government when they could move to Canada and pay 16%? Or they could move to Ireland and pay 20%. The only place they could not move and pay less is Japan.
That’s why TAX REFORM is the answer, not tax hikes. Right now the federal government is taking in almost as much revenue as it did in 2007, before the market collapsed. Yet we are still running a deficit over $1 trillion. How can that be? Simple, the Obama Administration has added about $800 billion a year to federal spending, the equivalent of a new stimulus for every year the president has been in office.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:43 am
David, you keep right on selling that concept. It did work quite nicely the last round now didn’t it? While you’re at it, be sure to nominate another Plutocratic snob to help sell it. Nothing like proven success.
November 26th, 2012 at 1:51 pm
“Plutocratic” lol. Communist propaganda appears to be making a comeback.
Don’t expect liberals to get this. Under the law, corporations are treated as individuals such as in libel law. And obviously corporations are collections of people.
One of the problems in public political discourse is that Democrats are not as educated as Republicans. It renders them more susceptible to believing what powerful people tell them. We have to find a way to dumb down the narrative.
November 26th, 2012 at 2:53 pm
Patrick McCain – “….is that Democrats are not as educated as Republicans……”
WRONG. Red States are the “dummie states” by far. At the bottom of the barrel when it comes to college degrees per capita.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_educational_attainment
Source: U.S. Census Bureau.
———————————
P.S. Patrick. Where did you get your data for your assertion? Or like most conservatives, did you just make it up? I’d be interested to see how you arrived at your statement. Show me your data and stats please.
November 26th, 2012 at 4:07 pm
Read the exit polls, Ron. Once again you are engaging in a logic fallacy. All those undereducated black Democrats in Mississippi (etal) drive those numbers. I wouldn’t go as far as you in calling black people “dummies” because even intelligent people, Ron, can be born into poverty. But here we go again. Last time we got into this you showed an amazing ignorance of socioeconomic data.
November 26th, 2012 at 4:32 pm
Patrick McCain – Once again in the face of data you offer nothing but anecdotal BS as a response.
If you can’t debate with the grown-ups, present FACTS, then I’ll have to just consider you a clown.
I have a hard time believing you ever graduated high school as you seem to find great difficulty in being able to find supporting data for your arguments. It’s like you’ve never done a research paper before, had to get sources, check them, cite them…..etc. Basic stuff I learned in grade school.
With the internet, it should take you 10 minutes MAX to back up ANY of your claims. I honestly don’t think you have the brains to do it as you repeatedly deflect to anecdotes and subterfuge every time I press you for facts.
And why did you focus on Alabama and not the OVERALL low Red state performance?
Just show me some FACTS please.
November 26th, 2012 at 4:43 pm
Ignorance is bliss for you, Ron. You are just a tiny part of the statistics that show Democrats are less educated than Republicans.
November 26th, 2012 at 4:49 pm
R.J. Ward;
“Nothing like proven success.”
You might want to take that up with the present Dick in Chief.
Then again, weve all seen what moonbats see as success.
“GM is alive and well and Bin Laden is dead”
“Our troops are returning home and Al Queda has been decimated”
“Egypt has elected a democratic leadership and is finally free of an oppressive regime.”
“And weve got Ronald J Ward stumpin for us”
November 26th, 2012 at 5:01 pm
” Red States are the “dummie states” by far. At the bottom of the barrel when it comes to college degrees per capita.”
Barry has a college degree and he cant perform simple math.
I’ve known Patrick for at least 4 years and know damn well he has no desire to waste time on those immersed beyond reason and could not give a sht what you think.
The majority of felons are also democrats.
Throw that in your intellectual soup.
Funny, the most educated people, ass you claim, reside in blue states which happen to be the most populated per square mile also.
They’re also the biggest fiscal wrecks in the nation.
November 26th, 2012 at 5:18 pm
Pat – “part of the statistics that show Democrats are less educated than Republicans.”
Where are those stats? I showed to the Census stats showing Red States at the bottom educationally.
Checkmate…..done with ya! That was easy.
November 26th, 2012 at 5:43 pm
“Barry has a college degree and he cant perform simple math.”
Childish enough to pick on the slip of the tongue of a Summa Cum Laude Harvard Law School Grad Mick? You can do better.
And I’ve known ignoramuses like Pat before. The one’s who can never back up their anecdotes with facts. A typical republican problem we saw in effect on election night.
“Funny, the most educated people, ass you claim…..”
I DIDN’T MAKE A CLAIM. I showed the CENSUS DATA. Jeeeez you right wingers are thick!.
Care to debate what I presented or offer up some other info go ahead.
And if you read the table, POPULATION had nothing to do with the numbers as they were in PERCENTAGES skippy.
“They’re also the biggest fiscal wrecks in the nation.”
PROVE IT! Where did you hear that? Just making stuff up like Pat that he heard on talk radio?
Pretty much every conservative I run across on these type of sites is long in the mouth, long on what their “buddies” tell them, and short on data, facts in support of their position(s).
As if you guys just sit arpound telling each other the same BS all day, engage in intellectual inbreeding, and VOILA!
-Obama’s from Kenya!
-You can be a Marxist with nationalizing a single industry.
-Obama’s taken everyones guns away.
-He’s “violating the Constitution” all over the place yet his administrations gotten but ONE challenge. Which he WON.
-Obama’s a Nazi dictator, a Marxist, in Wall Street’s pocket, AND a weakling all at the same time.
-Obama’s taking America in the wrong direction, but he’s been elected TWICE.
No wonder you guys got such a surprise election night. Finally got smacked in the head with reality.
Pine hitting skull.
November 26th, 2012 at 7:41 pm
“Childish enough to pick on the slip of the tongue of a Summa Cum Laude Harvard Law School Grad Mick? You can do better.”
oh give it a fcking rest already !
Academia has nothing to do with intelligence, only knowledge.
Ass hole spent years in college and my wife who never made it out of high school knows you cant spend more than you make.
I on the other hand never went to high school and had an assoc. science at 17 but have learned more in the six years I’ve had a computer than in all my life.
Unless you want to be treated like an ass hole I suggest you revert back to the guy two weeks ago that said hes not here for a fight.
Your snobbery is astounding dude.
Get off your high fcking horse because you are most certainly not the most astute or intelligent opponent I’ve “cum” across.
November 26th, 2012 at 8:19 pm
“Academia has nothing to do with intelligence, only knowledge.”
The “dimwits” argument.
And maybe you should speak to some of your boys who like to crank it up with the conservative snobbery crap. Because believe me, I don’t need to go there, but if you guys (like Patrick) want to snot up, I’ll run circles around ya!
That nitwit Faye’s not worth mentioning, but some of your other buddies should tamp down the on the rhetoric.
Want to insult people or political parties? Then get ready for some return fire!
And you don’t rate enough for me to care what your opinion of me is dude. I’ll leave it at that.
November 26th, 2012 at 9:38 pm
“And you don’t rate enough for me to care what your opinion of me is dude. I’ll leave it at that.”
Yeah, I’ll take that at face value from some idiot who puts fcking mint jelly on his turkey.
(want a link and citation for that too?)
If you think you can run circles around anyone by using Krugman as a reputable source then you’ve already made yourself dizzy.
By the way.
Eisenhower may not of been a 60s hippie but he was still a fcking democrat coining the term which is the same gotdamn thing you moron.
When you can explain the military industrial complex you detest so much that locked up Japanese Americans under democrat rule, got 60,000 troops killed in Nam under democrat rule and answered to the Cole, the first tower bombing, and our embassies being bombed by going to Kosovo instead under democrat rule…then you’ll be worthy of congenial treatment.
Right now, the last thing we need worry about is a military complex having any effect on our politics when its actually the CICs politics and bullsht PCROE that allowed the mid east to become more unstable than its ever been, rendering all the troops lives given IN THE PAST TEN YEARS FOR FCKING NOTHING !!!
Ambassador Stevens would make my point without exception.
“I swear YOU don’t even know what your ranting about. Just a generic right-wing rant with the word “complex” thrown in.”
Yeah, you morons tried to tie Halliburton into that make believe complex you assume I’m ignorant of.
Problem is…
1) you play checkers, I play chess.
2) Alot of sht goes over your head and you’re not worth explaining to what it is you’re not getting.
3) During wartime the CIC can ” no bid” any contractor needed without congressional approval.
You may have reason to be an ass hole with me as I mistook you for another Ron.
I apologized, but retracted it because in short time you were no different than the other Ron.
But you have no good reason to be the snotty arrogant condescending piece of sht you’ve been with McCain and others.
I will hound your ass as much as I please and prove you wrong at every turn as I have so far, because basically people like you are the pi$$ of the earth whos limited cognition can only see left or right thereby mistaking me and anyone disagreeing with you for those you hate based on ignorant simple minded generalizations.
Bye, you get to sleep on the wet spot
November 26th, 2012 at 9:53 pm
““Academia has nothing to do with intelligence, only knowledge.”
The “dimwits” argument.”
prove me wrong.
Intelligence comes from process of data, not data itself.
You may excel in many scholastic areas, but it will do you no good if you dont have the brain cell count to apply it, or, if your decision making is effected by a faulty ideology, theology, or learned behaviors. Wisdom comes with age, experience etc…
So, “DIMWIT”, in the case of intelligence you’ve been educated but may well remain stupid.
November 26th, 2012 at 10:10 pm
Micky – You still rant in circles with the disconnect of an 8 year old.
If I were you, I’d just shut up about your Eisenhower/history ignorance. You’re uneducated and didn’t know. Period.
“military industrial complex you detest so much….” When did I ever say that you raging inbred?
“1) you play checkers, I play chess.”
Nah. I actually play chess f-face. 1724 rating. Anytime-anywhere online to teach you further submission. Just name a site. We’ll play, you’ll lose.
“But you have no good reason to be the snotty arrogant condescending piece of sht you’ve been with McCain and others.”
Sorry but McCain got what he dished. Can’t really recall 2 other snarky annoyances on here “askin” for it outside of you two and that pest Faye. Everybody else I treat as they treat me. Had a nice back and fourth with Arriba the other day until your disruptive ignorant azz showed up.
It’s been a pleasure schooling you yet again. You can “hound me” some more with your ignorance of history and circular rants anytime.
My guess is you never got out of high school. Typical ignorant ranting and raving meathead with an attitude. The type who are too undeucated to know how dumb they really are. They snarky kind who call Harvard Law grads dumb…..lol.
Being not the brightest is fine. Being illiterate is fine. But being ignorant and LOUD is something I don’t suffer lightly mate!
I rate you an untrained 85-95.
November 26th, 2012 at 10:20 pm
“So, “DIMWIT”, in the case of intelligence you’ve been educated but may well remain stupid.”
If you ever went to college or worked in “academia” you would know that the most important thing a person does is learn history (the wisdom of others) and apply/use what you’ve learned.
It’s something you could never understand so this argument is moot.
November 26th, 2012 at 10:21 pm
RonM?
Just curious….what is your age and IQ?
College graduate? Business Owner?
“but if you guys want to snot up”
I have no clue what that means but that is an interesting syntax.
You seem very angry and condescending…OH Wait…..You’re a Progressive Liberal Moonbat!!! Oblamo won and you are still bitching and moaning.
November 26th, 2012 at 10:27 pm
MickHoney-
Me thinks RonM doesn’t approve of certain people on this forum. Isn’t he the “new” kid on the block?
ROFLMAO
November 27th, 2012 at 4:50 am
“You’re a Progressive Liberal Moonbat!!!”
Yeah. Even though my side won the election, it’s still my duty to stamp out ignorance amongst Teabillie Inbreds like you and others wherever I see it.
Just consider it the free education you guys never got.

Micky –
“By the way.

Ike was a Republican you inbred. Nixon was his VP. You display your ignorance at every turn dude. Typical uneducated, fact-challenged con.

“teabillie inbreds”
Stay classy RonM.
LMAO.

“Ike was a Republican you inbred. Nixon was his VP. You display your ignorance at every turn dude. Typical uneducated, fact-challenged con.”
I made a mistake, and I’ll admit it, my mind was on Truman.
But, you’re not going to get away with your glee that easy.
All the questions I’ve presented you with have only garnered personal attacks.
Which means you dont know the answers or fear the humiliation that lies in them.
I took your ass to the cleaners on Krugman.
You asked me to pick apart his column piece by piece and I did, and better yet gave multiple examples of his dishonesty.
You’v yet to return to that thread.
Whoever said absence makes the heart grow fonder was right.
=======================
“Sorry but McCain got what he dished.”
In exchanges 7 thru 10 you were the first to call him names.
The discussion with Patrick was over problems in public political discourse between Democrats and Republicans and how he feels democrats are dumber “uneducated” in this area.
Somehow you thought that meant you had to bust out wikipedia to prove more liberals have college educations in pertaining states..
Inadvertently, you made McCains point very well indeed.
Secondly.
Nowhere is there a connection between intelligence and education. Learn the difference and you’ll be more educated, but not smarter for it.
Some of the biggest idiots in this world are still in college teaching the same crap they think made them smarter than everyone.
“If you ever went to college or worked in “academia” you would know that the most important thing a person does is learn history (the wisdom of others) and apply/use what you’ve learned.”
Wrong.
If this is so true then why are we subjected to generation after generation that thinks socialism can work ? And why are our “educated” leaders repeating history’s mistakes almost on a daily basis ?
The only subject that arguably can make one more intelligent is math as it develops thought process.
Many kids today ask why they need to study forms of math they see no application to in their chosen professions.
The answer is that it teaches levels of thinking in complex manners applicable to organization and efficiency, problem solving in complex real life arenas.
History does not supply this skill but only shows the results of a select group or individuals decisions.
Since you dont know this… you truly are the idiot here.
“If you can’t debate with the grown-ups, present FACTS, then I’ll have to just consider you a clown.”
Yes, you’ve presented facts that determine you’re a captive of your ideological bigotry.
And the only schmuck who puts mint jelly on turkey.

Of course I realize you may not actually engage in such distasteful gastronomic activities as it seems to me you only used that example as a cheesy segway to beat up on southern whites.
To which I engaged you on a mutual level of humor in social generalizations.
But, if one thing was learned about you in that exchange it was that you and most liberals cant help themselves in the race dept.
I poked fun at black generalizations while acknowledging I might upset some people.
Of course, being the moonbat that you are you immediately proved my point, juxtaposed in a heartbeat by rushing to the black mans aid by bashing white southerners.
As you can tell by my response I was in no mood for this fight during a holiday and agreed to your generalization by giving my own example.
But, the fact remains, with proof, you’re an idiot who confuses academia with intelligence and just cant stop chomping at the race bit.
And please, you’re in no position to call anything moot. Do yourself a favor and think a day or two before responding
If I want to hear any more from an asshole today, I’ll just fart.

Wow Ron, that really took alot of intelligence to pull off.
Its about as effective as Peewee Hermans “I know you are but what am I ?”
November 27th, 2012 at 12:07 pm
Give it a rest Micky
1.) My whole tiff with McCain started with his “One of the problems in public political discourse is that Democrats are not as educated as Republicans.” Crack. I responded with census data proving the opposite. And things got worse from there.
2.) I’ll get back to your Krugman retort later. Which thread?
3.) Anything “learned” is useless if not applied through the prisim of historical context. “Sucka”
4.) “Yes, you’ve presented facts that determine you’re a captive of your ideological bigotry.”
I gave census data (MATH) and challenged McCain to offer data in rebuttal. He couldn’t.
5.) “….only used that example as a cheesy segway (SEGUE) to beat up on southern whites….” – “I poked fun at black generalizations while acknowledging I might upset some people.”
I responded in kind and poked fun at white generalizations/stereotypes. What’s the difference? Seems like you can dish it out but can’t take it. Lighten up.
Rule of thumb for adults Micky…If you’re going to tell ethnic jokes, keep it to your own group. Otherwise, there’s a pretty good chance someone (like YOU) might get some unwanted blow-back.
6.) “and just cant stop chomping at the race bit.”
Who made the first racial joke/crack dude? You acknowledge you might upset some people yet here you are. Upset when a similar “funny” is aimed at “light people” instead of “dark people”. What gives?
7.) I respond to Faye at Faye’s level.
Later.

“Yeah. Even though my side won the election, it’s still my duty to stamp out ignorance amongst Teabillie Inbreds like you and others wherever I see it.”
Ron this is your first warning for violating the comment policy. Next time you will be banned.
November 27th, 2012 at 1:25 pm
Wow, there sure seems to be an obvious ”selectivity” about the whole banning procedure that seems to be steeped in Ron M. and Ronald Ward making compelling arguments.
If you are firmly on the right you can name call and utilize profanity without consequence, but it is obvious that the Rons have committed the crime of being on the wrong side of the political fence.
I have to admit I saw this coming many comments ago and simply waited for the inevitable warning.
Let’s see, Klo, “me”, Ronald J and now Ron M. (I probably missed a few). What do they all have in common?
Oh, well, it is your site to do with what you will, but it seems very transparent.
November 27th, 2012 at 2:14 pm
Patrick McCain -
So Micky writes
“If I want to hear any more from an asshole today, I’ll just fart.”
“By the way.

Clearly using vulgarities and profanities. And my remark was actually pg-13. Using neither.
So what’s the standard for violation here?
Adult content?
Cursing?
Profanities?
Ethnic jokes?
Or thrash talking better than the opposition when provoked?
Seriously. That’s not a rhetorical question.
Do non-Democrat leaning posters get to engage on this site differently than others? Just be honest.
And is THIS post somehow in violation?
November 27th, 2012 at 2:37 pm
buzzbee – “If you are firmly on the right you can name call and utilize profanity without consequence, but it is obvious that the Rons have committed the crime of being on the wrong side of the political fence.”

Go figure.

“Whaaaaaaaaa!”
Give it a rest Micky
1.)” My whole tiff with McCain started with his “One of the problems in public political discourse is that Democrats are not as educated as Republicans.” Crack. I responded with census data proving the opposite. And things got worse from there.”
You said his bro and sis were his mom n dad.
wtf did you expect ?
2.)” I’ll get back to your Krugman retort later. Which thread?”
The one where you bailed after I ripped him apart after you suggested I try.
3.) “Anything “learned” is useless if not applied through the prisim of historical context. “Sucka””
Exactly, which is why its increasingly difficult for you to defend liberalism/Obama.
History is subjective to emotion.
Math is not.
So, what you learn from history is itself subjective.
What you do with historical knowledge, how you apply it, interpret it, determines a subjective outcome.
Liberals after studying Marx may see him as a hero. The idea of equality is great until its forced.
Liberals tend to ignore the last half, “force”.
So, history only makes one wiser if you have the ability to process the many factors.
Math enhances this ability.
History does not.
Math is an exact science.
4.)” “Yes, you’ve presented facts that determine you’re a captive of your ideological bigotry.””
See above
“I gave census data (MATH) and challenged McCain to offer data in rebuttal. He couldn’t.”
Not really math dude.
Numbers posted on Wikipedia is someones rendition as reliable as Foxs watching hen houses.
And it does not prove the ignorant snot claim that college creates or harbors intelligence.
As far as the census goes.
I lied my ass off when filling it out.
Much of it is none of their freekin business.
5.) ““….only used that example as a cheesy segway (SEGUE) to beat up on southern whites….” – “I poked fun at black generalizations while acknowledging I might upset some people.””
I’m aware of the two spellings dude. Just like the difference between cum n come.

Who made the first racial joke/crack dude? You acknowledge you might upset some people yet here you are. Upset when a similar “funny” is aimed at “light people” instead of “dark people”. What gives?”
You responded to my imagining what A FCKING TURKEY WAS THINKING YOU FREEEEEEKING IDIOT !!
7.) “I respond to Faye at Faye’s level.”
I have yet to see you accomplish this.
Faye is funnier than sht on a hot fudge sundae.
In your case, your sense of humor is up your ass.
Tell you what.
From here on in (with you) I’ll be as rigidly compliant to the rules as I can and contain wit you dont get in order to further communications you can understand.
November 27th, 2012 at 3:34 pm
1.) Which came first. A YOU, Mr. “can’t write a complete thought without a vulgarity” should talk.
2.) I’ll get to it. As I recall, you just personally ripped him and nothing else.
3.) So how do you “objectively” apply math to society? Maybe would could just do away with the Constitution and govern ourselves with an algorithm?
(Your “math” insistence would have to make you an atheist by the way. Is that true?)
4.) Statistics are MATH, and I gave THE Census data. from the official Gov. data. Sorry, you can’t deny facts you don’t like.
5.) You wrote: “Guess my ethnicity please.
Ass hole”
That would be my guess.
6.) I responded. Thanks for confirming that.
7.) Whatever.
“….to the rules as I can and contain wit you dont get in order to further communications you can understand.”
Huh?
November 27th, 2012 at 3:59 pm
Limbaugh has a letter? Never knew that!
Allan Colmes? That doofus hit every branch of the progressive moonbatty tree as he fell down.
Whoops you said Ann Coulter. Sorry RonM–I have never read any of her books.
FYI-I worked full time in college so I don’t need any stinking FREE education from you.
Get over yourself.
Mick-My son wants to visit Hawaii. Can you put us up?
November 27th, 2012 at 4:17 pm
So anything short of an unfettered, laissez-faire, unregulated form of capitalism (sort of like South America) is Marxism?
It kills me, anyone that didn’t vote for Romney is a socialist, progressive, communist or Marxist.
I will have to inform all of my Democrat friends that are self-employed that they are unfortunately not capitalists and should probably not attempt to generate a profit.
I should probably report them to their “handlers”.
This is the result of 24 hour cable news, everything is an absolute, no gray area or subtlety, you are either with us or against us.
“Did you vote for Romney?” No? “Marxist”.
“Do you believe in the separation of church and state?” Yes?. “Godless atheist”.
“Do you agree with the invasion of ‘insert country here’?” No? “Well, you don’t support the troops.”
November 27th, 2012 at 4:19 pm
“1.) Which came first. A YOU, Mr. “can’t write a complete thought without a vulgarity” should talk.”
Vulgarity comes in many forms bro.
Just because theres no expletives does not mean its not vulgar.
For myself, lying is the most vulgar form of conversation.
And then, you can get into the many forms of lying… while you worry about words as most PC liberals do.
2.)” I’ll get to it. As I recall, you just personally ripped him and nothing else.”
If you’ll “get to it” you obviously have not been there, so your answer sucks.
3.) “So how do you “objectively” apply math to society? Maybe would could just do away with the Constitution and govern ourselves with an algorithm?”
Nice try.
But 2+2 will always be 4.
The Crusades, a matter of history and theology has been interpreted many ways to mean many things.
It is subject to bias.
Numbers are not.
I have faith our population count is as accurate as can be in a massive bureaucracy of red tape and flaws.
But I have yet to see proof that college educations, even that education of historians creates intelligence.
I’ll make it simple for you.
Someone once said;
“Yes, he graduated Summa/Maxima Cum Laude.
But still cant tie his laces”
CAPICE ?
“(Your “math” insistence would have to make you an atheist by the way. Is that true?)”
See above
4.) “Statistics are MATH, and I gave THE Census data. from the official Gov. data. Sorry, you can’t deny facts you don’t like.”
Ever heard of a rigged election ?
By someone elses tally you’re more intelligent ?
Or educated ? Or been mislead ?
5.) You wrote: “Guess my ethnicity please.
Ass hole”
“That would be my guess.”
Guessing is not a sign of intelligence or education.
6.) “I responded. Thanks for confirming that.”
My pressure.
7.) “Whatever.”
What are you ? Last of the Valley Girls ?
“….to the rules as I can and contain wit you dont get in order to further communications you can understand.”
“Huh?”
From here on in (with you) I’ll be as rigidly compliant to the rules as I can …
This means I’ll do my best to obey the rules.
…and contain wit you dont get…
This means I have to keep witty comments away from you because you dont understand them.
… in order to further communications you can understand…
This means… just because someones head comes to a point, it does not mean they are sharp.
As a suggestion, dont call the editor in chief, “DA BOSS” an inbred if you dont want the threat of being banned.
Aloha
November 27th, 2012 at 4:24 pm
Heres an example of why I get so pi$$ed of.
“So anything short of an unfettered, laissez-faire, unregulated form of capitalism (sort of like South America) is Marxism?”
Buzz, who said any such thing ?
November 27th, 2012 at 4:26 pm
“off”
(better not forget the extra F or da moonbats’l bust out the dunce cap on my ass)
November 27th, 2012 at 4:26 pm
Be careful, Ron, if you don’t acquiesce, you will soon be banned on some trumped-up charges. It is only a matter of time.
November 27th, 2012 at 4:28 pm
It wasn’t directed at you.
November 27th, 2012 at 4:31 pm
Referring to the general tenor of the posts and comments today (or any given day for that matter).
So you can reserve your anger for another time (which I am sure is right around the corner).
November 27th, 2012 at 4:37 pm
Lets try again
Buzz, who said any such thing ?
November 27th, 2012 at 4:52 pm
The general tenor? (As in, not directed at you or a specific comment)
And people are puzzled when I say I am here for the comedy.
Same reason I watch Fox and Friends (although I am pretty sure it is unintentional on their part, they simply don’t know any better).
November 27th, 2012 at 4:54 pm
“The general tenor? (As in, not directed at you or a specific comment)”
Riiiiiiiiight.
November 27th, 2012 at 5:10 pm
Micky……LOL….Love your circular illogic.
1.) I originally used the word “inbred” on this site TWICE to refer to “intellectual inbreeding…..Like-minded people telling each other the same things in mindless agreement, like most people do on political blogs. My first evening on this site I used that exact phrase “intellectual inbreeding” in questioning whether this was one of those sites. You’re the one getting PC with my use of the word and suggesting incest….etc.in feigned (race-baiting?) outrage. My usage of the word was CLEAR. Go check out the Jindal story and see EXACTLY what my actual intended usage was, and is, of the word/expression.
2.) I’ll get to it. And won’t sling some garbage excuse like you did with Ike/Mil. Industrial complex.
3.) Argue the irrelevance of education if you like. It’s a highly ironic position for one to hold though.
4.) A census isn’t an election mate.
5.) That flew right over you head…..:-) Besides….YOU asked me to guess, right?
6.) Yep.
7.) On my pay-no-mind list and meriting a v-girl response.
Yeah. Witty like when you spelled “dyslexia” phonetically. In writing “Dyslexia” is when you jumble the letters in a word, not when you express letters as they sound. Maybe that’s why I “dnit’d” catch your considerable “wit” that time.
As for the rest of your explanation, I suggest you get a copy of “The Elements of Style”, and read it. Pretty obvious you’ve never done any serious writing outside of blog postings before.
Later….
November 27th, 2012 at 5:15 pm
Buzzbee – “Be careful, Ron, if you don’t acquiesce, you will soon be banned on some trumped-up charges. It is only a matter of time.”
Don’t give em any ideas…..lol. Besides. Micky would miss me.
Right Micky?
November 27th, 2012 at 6:05 pm
“Micky……LOL….Love your circular illogic.”
Look, I said I’d obey the rules.
I’ll one up it and ask for a return to civility.
But if you’re going to make snide comments relating to ones intellect or lack of I cant make any promises.
1.) “I originally used the word “inbred” on this site TWICE”
My point still stands no matter which context came first.
“intellectual inbreeding”…
… is just as insulting and a suggestion that those here cant think for themselves.
“…..Like-minded people telling each other the same things in mindless agreement, like most people do on political blogs.”
Speak for yourself.
2.) “I’ll get to it. And won’t sling some garbage excuse like you did with Ike/Mil. Industrial complex.”
Yeah, guess what ? I make mistakes, for whatever reasons you deem relevant, I dont care.
My mind was on Truman, like it or not.
The fact is this.
60s hippies tossed that phrase around more than anyone especially in protest of Nam. Most recently in protest of Halliburton and its contribution to the military industrial complex that supposedly is or could be a major influence on our politics and economy.
With liberals in charge that threat becomes minimal as its no secret Barry wants to de-fund and bring the size of military back to Clinton levels
3.)” Argue the irrelevance of education if you like. It’s a highly ironic position for one to hold though.”
This is a lie.
I never said education was irrelevant.
4.) “A census isn’t an election mate.”
Still, people can misrepresent numbers to their favor. Its happened most notably in elections and economics.
Numbers in themselves are inert and not subject to interpretation until the human element is introduced.
The census does not prove that going to college makes one more intelligent.
I have no doubt it makes you more informed.
What you do with that information depends on your level of intelligence.
The census only shows that more people in certain states went to college.
DO-YOU-UNDERSTAND ?
5.) “That flew right over you head…..:-) Besides….YOU asked me to guess, right?”
No, I asked you to guess my ethnicity.
(who’s head ?)
6.) Yep.
7.) On my pay-no-mind list and meriting a v-girl response.
“Yeah. Witty like when you spelled “dyslexia” phonetically. In writing “Dyslexia” is when you jumble the letters in a word, not when you express letters as they sound. Maybe that’s why I “dnit’d” catch your considerable “wit” that time.”
Some people are dicks, and they just dont get it.
“As for the rest of your explanation, I suggest you get a copy of “The Elements of Style”, and read it. Pretty obvious you’ve never done any serious writing outside of blog postings before.”
Yeah, uh, you’re no Ernest Hemingway yourself buddy.
You might of excelled in journalism, history, poli sci…
In real life on the street.
You’d be my b!tch
I’m not here to write as much as I am to point out the idiocy behind liberals.(kinda redundant)
But, as always, attacks on writing skills, grammar, punctuation are always the last refuge of those who cant argue their politics to any sense.
Tell me, if this conversation were face to face would you be listening to my words, their pronunciation, my accent or what I was saying ?
“Later….”
You’ve been as late as one can be
November 27th, 2012 at 6:26 pm
” I suggest you get a copy of “The Elements of Style”, ”
Hilarious confirmation of liberal obsession with style over substance.
I’ve got style, and I know you can tell.
Because like Buzz, you’ve failed the substantial conversation and resorted to attacking my style.
You’ve got style also.
But, my style of describing it would get me banned for an eternity.
And you could prolly smell it from all the way from right here in sunny Hawaii.
I’m done for the day. But first, I’ll make another stylish deposit…
Whats the difference between a democrat and a liberal ?
If a democrat steals something from you he’ll deny it.
If a liberal steals something from you he’ll help you look for it.
November 27th, 2012 at 6:54 pm
Buzzbee why are you wasting your time here? Let them become extinct.
November 27th, 2012 at 7:09 pm
Extinction ?
Were not the ones begging for contraception and making organic waste out of babies.
Trust me, you’ve got more to worry about with a radical Muslim than you do us.
November 27th, 2012 at 7:10 pm
“Buzzbee why are you wasting your time here? Let them become extinct.”
Like the Whig Party?
November 27th, 2012 at 7:16 pm
They wouldn’t know a gift if it hit them in the face.
Such as this from today’s Slate:
Gov. Chris Christie picked a good time to announce his plans to run for re-election.
According to a new Quinnipiac University survey released this morning, a whopping 72 percent of New Jersey voters approve of the job he is doing, a 16-point jump since before Superstorm Sandy battered his state’s shores. The Republican governor’s popularity extends well beyond his party, too: 77 percent of independents and 52 percent of Democrats gave him the thumbs up. His overall approval rating is the highest Quinnipiac pollsters have seen in the Garden State in more than a decade and a half.
A second poll out today, meanwhile, shows that Christie’s currently the runaway favorite to win the 2013 election. The Rutgers-Eagleton Institute of Politics poll shows Christie with a 19-point lead (53 percent to 34 percent) over Newark Mayor Cory Booker, a rising star within the Democratic Party and the man considered most likely to challenge Christie next fall.
Christie filed paperwork to run for re-election yesterday. While that move wasn’t at all unexpected, it nonetheless allowed the New Jersey Republican the chance to be showered with the latest reminders of his surging popularity. While polling numbers like these often make for smaller news items, when coupled with a re-election announcement and press conference they get that much more play.
Here’s the second graph from the the write-up on NJ.com, a super-site for a dozen of the state’s newspapers, for example:
The blunt-talking governor, who has been riding a surge in popularity for his omnipresent leadership since Hurricane Sandy took aim at New Jersey, said he was making the announcement early so residents knew they could count on him to help rebuild the battered state.
And the first from the New York Daily News:
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has put in his papers to run for another term amidst a bounce in the polls from his response to Superstorm Sandy, which trashed acres of the Garden State, including much of his beloved Jersey Shore.
It seems like the only people not singing Christie’s praises lately are in his own national party, many of whom still see his post-storm embrace of Obama as something that may have cost Mitt Romney the election.
They have a winner, but think he is guilty of deciding to put his state before politics, something everyone asks for, but the GOP now thinks was treasonous.
November 27th, 2012 at 7:25 pm
Micky – LMAO….”The Elements of Style” is a CLASSIC basic English composition textbook dude.
You were probably using it in 8th-12th grade and evidently not paying too much attention.
LMAO…..Boy did you step into THAT ONE with GUSTO…:-)
November 27th, 2012 at 7:30 pm
“Micky – LMAO….”The Elements of Style” is a CLASSIC basic English composition textbook dude.”
Gawd yer stupid.
Butcha look good doin it dude !
November 27th, 2012 at 7:33 pm
Micky – “Trust me, you’ve got more to worry about with a radical Muslim than you do us.”
Tom isn’t worried about the likes of YOU, he doesn’t care if you guys become extinct. You can read English right?
You really need to brush up on your comprehension skills Mick. You frequently seem to not understand what it is you’re commenting on.
November 27th, 2012 at 8:26 pm
You and Tom must be lovers.
Theres no other way to explain how you know his feelings so well.
Dude, pull it out, get a grip.
Tom says to let us (guys like me) go extinct.
It reads pretty simple, but makes little sense because we (guys like me) are the pro lifers.
He has no power to allow any such thing. But maybe thinks he does because he prolly thinks liberals and conservatives are born that way.
I’m sure he’d like the abortion laws to stay if not relaxed a bit more so when the republican gene is discovered preemptive abortions can be performed.
I used to be liberal.
I got tired of hating myself.
Now I’m full of love and even giving my time to people like you, going back on my word just to bond with you even more.
I sure hope that sinks in bro cuz I’m really tired of teaching you sht by having draw pictures for you.
Actually, I’m a really sick fck who loves pulling the wings off moonbats because I believe they’re Satan’s little parasites.
The truth has set me free.
MUHWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA !
November 27th, 2012 at 8:36 pm
Ron, you are right. I don’t care.
On a related note, some time ago in San Francisco in the Tenderloin my wife and I were walking to our hotel and came across a guy who was having a deep conversation with a parking meter. Unfortunately, the meter apparently said something offensive, and the guy started screaming at the meter and slapping it.
I thought it best to keep on walking, rather than to engage the man in dialogue.
November 27th, 2012 at 8:39 pm
“You frequently seem to not understand what it is you’re commenting on.”
Not my fault you cant understand an intentional rejection of conventional wisdom. (or have no sense of humor)
How my supposed to get across to people who are so stupid that they think they’re smarter than everyone ?
Well, the answer is to get their attention first and you’re doing incredibly well, but I’m runnin out of *finger paints drawin pictures for you.
*Keyboard joke for the humor challenged.
November 27th, 2012 at 8:43 pm
Ron, I know I’ve called you some mean things but thats no reason for Tom to call you a parking meter
November 27th, 2012 at 8:57 pm
Tom – I’m at home these days recovering from a job site injury. I do this Micky guy when I get bored.
November 27th, 2012 at 9:03 pm
You wish you could do me
November 27th, 2012 at 9:20 pm
Ron, I know what you mean, it is fun to comment here once in a while, kind of like doing a drive by for stress relief, but without the actual carnage.
November 27th, 2012 at 9:28 pm
Mick – You gettin “had” and don’t know it……:-)
November 27th, 2012 at 9:37 pm
Tom – “…..kind of like doing a drive by for stress relief”
Yeah. It’s been a gas hitting up a few of these types of sites after the election. The Daily Caller guys are having seizures these days.
November 27th, 2012 at 10:45 pm
Ron, you are right. I don’t care.
“On a related note, some time ago in San Francisco in the Tenderloin my wife and I were walking to our hotel and came across a guy who was having a deep conversation with a parking meter. Unfortunately, the meter apparently said something offensive, and the guy started screaming at the meter and slapping it.”
I have been to the “Tenderloin” but my encounter was different than Tom.
Attended a CCRN class in SF but stayed at my sister’s house in Berkeley.
No HOtel but I did see a twinkie doing a wrapper in a milk carton.
Tom?
That was Barney Fannie
May Frank talking to Nancy “Read The Bill” Peelooski.
(Insert Massachusetts versus Maryland here)
Read it and weep.
Next time you are in SF—stop by Oakland.
Real estate is real cheap.
ROFL.
November 27th, 2012 at 11:40 pm
Micky – Okay. Your unparallelled insight, wisdom, scholarship, and intellect have persuaded me to finally accept your political point of view.
I’m voting for Romney.
Are you satisfied now?….:-)
November 28th, 2012 at 9:41 am
Romneys an ass hole, but go right ahead.
G`mornin, how is ya ?
November 28th, 2012 at 9:55 am
Yeah, confession time.
My harvest finally dried n cured yesterday.
Smokin n drinkin is a horrible idae, specially when you get stuck with Rondha and you been sober for 15 years. So, I opted out of the booze, sipped on Ron instead, twisted up a very offensive joint, lit it, and combo was most excellent.
Maybe a little more for me than Ron.
Its 7:30 here in paradise.
I’m gun have a cup o thick black coffee. (Humble Pie comes to mind) “Black Coffee” would be the song, but “pie” in itself reminds me, I gotsta take a crap,(wont be humble at all) let the dog crap, and then get right back to y’all.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:09 am
“Next time you are in SF—stop by Oakland.
Real estate is real cheap.
ROFL.”
The only way one stops in Oakland is by cop or by a cap in his ass, or a chunk of baking soda masquerading as crack.
I still cant get over Tom calling Ron a parking meter. Thats what I used call my ho’s when they paid me with silver.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:26 am
“I’m at home these days recovering from a job site injury. ”
Lemme guess.
You’re a male model and some young hung stud snatched your slot ?
November 28th, 2012 at 10:27 am
I think Tom was talking about you Mick.
You always were low in the comprehension area. Smoke too much dope I guess. They call it “dope” for a reason…..
November 28th, 2012 at 10:35 am
“Mick – You gettin “had” and don’t know it……:-)”
Hey sweetie, I’m not the lathering his turkey with mint jelly.
This might be too capitalist for you but have you considered marketing turkey flavored mints ?
I’d place em on the shelf right next to the pork soda and “Morning Breeze”.
You’d make a killing durin the holidays.
Maybe bunny flavored mints for Easter ?
November 28th, 2012 at 11:28 am
“I think Tom was talking about you Mick.
You always were low in the comprehension area. Smoke too much dope I guess. They call it “dope” for a reason…..”
We’ll start fresh today Ron.
I was just having fun, dont hate you, kinda like you but dont really know why.
My brutal honesty gets me in trouble, but it also saved my life.
Up until about 15 years ago I ran around with a needle in my arm, a bottle of Jack and a case of beer everyday til it literally killed me for about 2 minutes.
I was raised by 2 very liberal liberals.
Long story short, after years of being a victim of an ideology that had me justifying my habits by blaming everyone and thing around me, psychs telling me my habit was a means to bury the pain of a screwed up childhood,I had an epiphany.
No, its no ones fault but mine. I was just a selfish arrogant prick who loved to stay ripped.
This established an independence that lead to personal accountability which blossomed into an attraction to a more conservative outlook.
Life became wonderful.
I opened my own business, married a hot Hawaiian woman who is a devout Christian. Were like the Ying and the Yang keeping a relationship of beautiful balance.
My son has turned out to be nothing like I was and if not becoming a great veterinarian will be a most excellent drummer like his dad.
No offense to liberals, but for me it wasnt working as a value platform.
I still hold habits and qualities that many confuse for liberalism. Thats their fault and simply an example of ignorance prevalent in morons such as Hannity or liberals who assume the hair down to my ass makes me a liberal.
I smoke pot because of all the meds I was given because of crack pot diagnosis its the one substance with the least ill effects. Any addiction to pot is purely psychological.
The vast majority of users do not place the burdens on society that all other drugs do.
You can be killed over the money involved, but not by the drug.
Pot users can usually wait til their dealer wakes up to buy more.
Coke, meth, heroin, and prescription opiate users will bang on your door at 3 am for a simple hit and maybe kill you for it.
Been there, done that.
Today I work with addicts and drunks, sponsoring them, interventions etc.
I’ve studied the state exam for counseling requirements, could of passed it, but never took the job professionally because the pay really sucks.
Theres no “dope” here my friend.
Alcohol is by far the most dangerous and destructive drug there is with very little medicinal qualities or use. It costs our country phenomenal amounts of life and money.
Thats where the real “dope” is at.
My only regret is that being in the restaurant business since I was 12, grad college at 17 with my assoc in management and culinary arts, I learned to appreciate many fine liquors, but can no longer partake.
I do miss wearing the tux, seating the Wall streeters, sitting at the same bar that Washington sat at in Fraunces Tavern sipping on a good Cognac.
With that, I bid you a good morning and wish for more pleasant conversations with you.
November 28th, 2012 at 11:37 am
“I think Tom was talking about you Mick.”
No, unless it was you who was hollering at the meter.
Thats nothing.
I used to see this guy in Waikiki everyday with his finger in the same hole in the sidewalk all day long.
After a couple weeks I broke down and asked him why he kept his finger in the hole all day.
He told me;
“If I take my finger out all the air will escape from the planet and we’ll shoot off into the universe like a balloon coming untied.”
True story, but I assume having to eat n take a dump would be the kink in his story.
November 28th, 2012 at 12:58 pm
Micky – I’m “lite” with the 420 myself…….
Later
