Mitt Romney concedes as President Barack Obama wins a second term in office. Obama won the popular vote by about 2% and so far is credited with 303 Electoral College votes to Romney′s 206. Florida, with 29 EC votes, is still undecided though it will probably go for Obama as well. It may as well for all the good it will do him since the GOP retained a firm grip on the House. America is still divided politically as we face a barrage of economic and foreign policy challenges. While many will say that the national polls got it right, they actually did not, as there were far more ′undecideds′ than thought. Most of these folks broke for Obama in the last two days with 42% telling the exit polls that Obama′s response to Hurricane Sandy influenced them. I am certain that the people dumpster diving for food and water on Staten Island will be happy to hear that!
So what happened? How did Obama, the worst president in the history of the nation, even worse than Jimmy Carter, win a second term? Not only is Obama the first president to preside over a downgrading of our nation′s credit rating, but he is also the first to win reelection with fewer votes than he won in his first campaign. Obama′s campaign was based on a two-word memo issued in August 2011, ′KILL ROMNEY!′ So forget about any high ideals or flowery sentiments.
Here is my advice to any future Republican presidential candidates for running in 2016. First, under no circumstances should you ever write an ′op-ed′ for the New York Times! America apparently prefers politicians of dubious origins. Just look at how Minnie-Ha-Ha won her senate seat in Massachusetts. If you are a good liar with little to no paper trail to weigh you down, then you too can be elected. Another piece of advice is that when you campaign, play to win! Not just run the clock out, but hammer your opponent. In hockey, we have a saying, just don′t beat′em, BEAT′EM! Check them in the boards and give them an extra elbow. Bloody them! Politics is more than just a full contact sport, its WAR!
So yes, I will eat my crow with a smile. I played into the hands of Mitt Romney, a candidate that I did not like nor felt adequate to challenge Obama. Can you imagine Newt Gingrich holding back during the last two debates? Nope! Like a good bulldog, he would have gripped into Obama′s throat and having a short snout, would not have let go since Newty could breath just fine. Obama owes much to the Media for covering his tracks. The unfolding tragedy of Hurricane Sandy storm victims is not being covered nationally. CBS News just released more of their September 12, 60 Minutes interview which again proves that Obama lied in the second debate about calling Benghazi a terrorist attack. And so it goes on, and on, and on.
For my Liberal pals I admit being wrong about the nature of the mood of the American people. Certainly of the 47% of blood-sucking zombies that want to live their entire lives on the government dole. So for you, my act of contrition is a little song parody based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, ″My Favorite Things″ from ″The Sound of Music.″ Since I lack the musical and video skills, feel free to put it on You Tube with my blessing if so motivated…
Binders of women with long lovely lashes,
Billionaires seeking big cuts in their taxes,
Firing Big Bird to make children sting,
These are a few of my favorite things!
New mansions with indoor car elevators,
Making a pile as a corporate raider,
My dog on the car roof while vacationing,
These are a few of my favorite things!
Liberal Media,
Fact-check bloggers,
Twitter tweets make me sad.
I look at my capital gains
and then I don′t feel
Sooo Bad!

November 7th, 2012 at 7:46 am
Maybe next time, the GOP will pick a candidate who didn’t make all of his money on Wall Street which bankrupted the fed budget, while avoiding paying any income taxes of his own for nearly a decade.
November 7th, 2012 at 8:07 am
Or at least not nominate a guy who could not even beat John McCain in a primary. That should have been the most telling clue.
November 7th, 2012 at 8:25 am
yeah, that too.
November 7th, 2012 at 8:31 am
America will regret this election. Most of the useful idiots do not have a clue what is in store for their children or their grand children. America is changing alright into a third world nation. The US stock market took a noise dive this morning.
November 7th, 2012 at 8:54 am
Amerika has shrugged.
November 7th, 2012 at 9:56 am
So the market took a “dive” this morning and it’s due to the reelection of the president. But when the same market doubled over the past four years it had nothing to do with him? Hmmmm.
November 7th, 2012 at 3:22 pm
TA
Yes, the market crashed the day after election day. How many election days are there in four years ?
November 7th, 2012 at 5:05 pm
Riiiiiiiiiight! Newt would have beat obama, HA! LMAO! Perry? Can’t even remember his name. You guys are a joke, seriously! Romney had the best chance, just that there are more minorities, low income people, union members, teachers, liberals, and single women who believed the fake “war on women” than there are Republicans and Independents, and you’re all sore losers. Let’s face it guys, the party is finished until people wake-up.
And you andy are worse than a fukin liberal with your stupid “artwork”. You shouldn’t even blog if you can’t control your emotions and just give an analysis / opinion without the cr@p!
November 7th, 2012 at 5:42 pm
Ron, give Andy his dream because he has earned that right. Gingrich couldn’t even win but one primary. Andy knows what would have happened but we can still root for the home team, like I still believe in the Golden State Warriors.
You are right that Romney had the best chance and almost took out an incumbent president, quite a rarity historically. We are a divided nation which wants moderate politicians in office and a more moderate Republican party in order for it to remain credible. The GOP’s Senate debacles of the last two election cycles prove it. We can’t even win a conservative state like Indiana when we nominate idiots, throwing away Senate seat after Senate seat the past two years!
Unfortunately, and it completely SUCKS to realize it, we are no longer a center-right nation. We have become a center nation, thanks in no small part to the growing Hispanic population that perceived the GOP to be unfriendly to it’s best interests.
In four years the GOP will be running against Hillary Clinton. I haven’t checked Intrade but she has to be heavily favored to win already. She will run as a moderate and can only be beaten with a ton of luck and someone who runs as a moderate who can not only drive up the GOP vote but win two-thirds of the independent voters. Tall, tall order.
November 8th, 2012 at 4:34 am
@ Patrick,
They better start grooming Rubio immediately, even for V.P.
November 8th, 2012 at 5:58 am
Ron,
Bless your heart! I suspected that you would get upset. The truth hurts, doesn’t it?
The polls were apparently correct in that the turnout would follow 2008. While some point to the changing demographics, with young single women, Blacks, Hispanics and the youth vote all adding 1% point to their share of the electorate, something else happened that bears examination.
We had 10 million more eligible voters this year than 2008, yet voter turnout was down by 12 million. So 22 million people did not participate that could have. Romney was down 3 million votes from what McCain drew in 2008. Why was that?
I shall explain all in my rant for today…
November 8th, 2012 at 6:28 am
TA,
Why did the Dow double in value the past 4 years? That’s very simple. I-N-F-L-A-T-I-O-N!!!
Ben Bernanke and his Happy-Bottom Print Shop has been cranking out the cash to inflate stock futures. Gold and oil prices have also doubled, as has the price of gas at the pump, corn, rice, etc, etc, etc…

P.S.
Theres no “E” in Micky
November 8th, 2012 at 7:19 pm
Andy,
The only thing that hurts is seeing a once in a lifetime opportunity to get the country in order lost. Romney would have done a superb job with everything from energy independence, the capitalist market, healthcare, and the military. Seeing him lose is the only thing that hurts, not that people are ignorant, that’s just part of life.
November 8th, 2012 at 7:47 pm
Eh, I dont know Ron.
The ignorance is getting pretty scary.
November 8th, 2012 at 8:28 pm
Well said as usual Mick…

My daddy said screw liberal women as much as you can because they are cheap and easy. But marry a conservative girl. Single men, I present you with Amber, lil’ darling of the left. LOL
November 9th, 2012 at 6:57 am
@ Ron,
What irritates me, Ron is how you jump on my case. Where have you been these past months since Patrick posted our ad for more writers? I did my part! Once the primaries wound down, I played nice and cheered for Romney. I wrote a glowing endorsement for Mitt. I put my principles in the vault and once again voted for the lesser of two evils. I carried my share of the water and what do I get? A half-baked candidate who didn’t have the chops to win in the first place and sunshine patriots like you attacking me for being upset.
Micky is correct, we’ve become an idiocracy and that includes the Establishment of the GOP. They are just as bad as the Obama-phone lady. They thought Mitt was entitled. Guess what? Nobody is entitled to anything! You want it, you gotta earn it. For the big prize you gotta go well beyond the extra mile.
So what’s next? Chris Christie, NJ’s answer to Fred Flintstone? Is he going to be the new entitled one because he can play to moderates after Frenching Obam-Bam in public, just so he can become friends with Bruce Rockstein? Then Christie, OBan-bam and Ann Coaltar can all skip their way to the White Cave singing “Bedrock Your Were Born To Run!”
I THINK NOT!!!
November 9th, 2012 at 7:02 am
Oh, and BTW, Ron,
Both Perry and Newt actually were more moderate when it came to immigration and where did that get them? Let’s build that Big Tent so we can make room for baby killers and illegal immigrants and painted-faced floosies who dress for sex like they were going shopping at Big Lots.
Oh, the Humanity!
November 9th, 2012 at 7:08 am
There’s an adage that says something about doing what you’ve been doing wil get you what you’ve been getting. Patrick’s mindset that was demonstrated in post # 26 speaks volumes as to why it wil be difficult for his party to dig themselves out of the ruins they’ve buried themselves into.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:45 am
Welcome back, Ronald!
What the GOP has to dig out of is by far much easier than the the hole Obama and his base of pimps, whores and welfare brats are digging. Joe Biden was right that the Middle Class is buried and his buddy Obama, who Joe has never had any trust in for the past 4 years, is burying the nation even deeper.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:47 am
“I need some cheese to go alone with all the Whining going on at this site ROTHLMAO!!!!!”
You need cheese ?
Wipe yourself.
The only whining here is taking place because of the example you’re setting for the very reason liberals like you need to be backhand b!tch slapped into extinction.
Say what you will, have your fun, the fact remains that you’re part of the growing ignorant entitlement society thats destroying this country.
Obama has twice as much to deal with today as he did upon entering his first term. That certainly does not paint a pretty picture for the next four years.
Instead of fixing things in the last four years, this moron has only doubled the length of what used to be a manageable gauntlet made of accumulated progressive policies.
The jokes on you stanky.
If the last four years are any indication of what the next four years will be like one can only count on multiplied and compounded tragedy.
You can only live a lie for so long before it catches up to you.
BTW
Were not whining any more than we have been for the last 4 years.
So, your childish gloating over others misfortune rings hollow to our ears and just makes you look like a really tacky b!tch.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:53 am
Ronald, what the hell are you talking about ?
Doing what you’ve been doing will get you what you’ve been getting ?.
Wise up Einstein, its your party thats been doing the doing and getting.
Seriously, out of all your posts that has be the dumbest one so far.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:20 am
mickey mouse has put his teeth in and hes trying to bite lol grandpa lets talk about examples that are set. your old out of touch a$$ is the first to call someone out of their name who dont agree with you.you sick bast*ard put a so called naked picture of the mans deceased mother on here and called her every name in the book and with your old arthritis hands you have the nerve to type “So, your childish gloating over others misfortune rings hollow to our ears and just makes you look like a really tacky b!tch.” well coming from you I will take that as a compliment cause it takes one to know one. you spoiled mf’s been getting everything you wanted Boehner said he got 98% of what he wanted in the debt deal but yet the out of touch republicans want the president to reach across the isle. Like Bush now its time for our President to start putting some Executive orders in place…….so for all you out of touch great grandpa’s and grandma’s let me say this louder since you cant hear ~clears throat~ YOUR OUT OF TOUCH THIS IS 2012 THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAS SPOKEN
November 9th, 2012 at 11:53 am
“Mickey Mouse”
How creative, you idiot inarticulate b!tch.
Do you seriously think I’ve never heard that before ?
The same goes for the rest of your crap.
Normally you’re retarded, and your posts only make your idiocy clear.
This one sounds like you’re gargling someones balls.
You’re just angry cuz Obamacare doesnt cover that Pu$$y of yours dragging 3 feet behind you like swiffer.
Find an issue worth debating, and I’ll wipe the floor with your ass.
Were done, carry on, bye.
November 9th, 2012 at 1:29 pm

Do you seriously think I’ve never heard that before ? wow gramps im glad you have your hearing aid in LMAO
This one sounds like you’re gargling someones balls. Thats not the sound of garglng balls thats the sound of your bowels backing up and leaking all of your bs on right pundits but no worries since its a pre existing condition Obamacare will cover it.

Let me just call u what you are a Republican and u cant get no lower than that!!!
November 9th, 2012 at 2:24 pm
I’d love to see you get a time out.
November 10th, 2012 at 7:00 am
Andrew, “pimps, whores and welfare brats”? Why must you be such an angry young man? You want to throw out the same ole debunked accusations and then justify it with insults. Of course, that’s nothing new here.
Denial can be quite cruel, particularly after Tue’s slap in the face with that steal hand of reality. And this denial may very well be the downfall of your party. For the past year, you’ve put the Bush economic plan on a pedestal while blaming Obama for the mess he inherited. Considering I’ve beaten that dead horse only to see you and Patrick spin, run, or just ban me when reality got too close, it’s reasonable to deduce you’d only run from it again.
Well, when this type of rhetoric, spin, and abject dishonesty was presented to the voters, they just didn’t buy it. Now granted, all politicians spin, are dishonest, and lie but the R/R team brought this to a new level. They built their entire campaign on outright lies and blatant dishonesty while having the chutzpah to change any given position at any given time contingent on what that particular audience wanted to hear. They ignored the fact that their numbers on the most important issue (the economy) simply didn’t add up. Romney dismissed fact checkers, ignored reporters, hid his tax returns, refused to explain what loopholes he’d close, and just became more mendacious while flip flopping at an unconscionable pace.
At the end of the day, people buy from who they can trust the most, rely on the most, and feel they’ll get the best service or protection from their investment from. Regardless of how you trust or distrust either, Romney simply failed to make that sell.
And as far as digging ourselves out of this GOP inflected economic mess, it may be much easier now. The GOP, as I’ve argued, intentionally sabotaged the economy with an admission of insuring Obama to be a 1 term President. The record filibuster obstruction has well worn out its welcome. And it should be abundantly clear that extending the Bush tax cuts for the top 1% will not stand.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:43 pm
“be abundantly clear that extending the Bush tax cuts for the top 1% will not stand.”
Ending those cuts will make a whole 0.10% difference as opposed that 1% applying the extra revenues to the market.
Liberals and Occupiers just want some action that’ll make em feel like they’re sticking it to the rich, its all about emotion. Obama knows this and will use it when pandering as much as possible
When in all reality we could tax the rich a 100% and it would make little difference on any time scale.
This moron in office needs to stop spending.
Its that simple.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:57 pm
FYI Amber isn’t a woman.
November 10th, 2012 at 3:35 pm
Is it Snow ?
November 11th, 2012 at 1:32 am
It’s Ronald.
November 11th, 2012 at 6:45 am
LOL! See, we should never have put out that Amber Alert for Ronald. We better call the milk companies and have them take his pic off the cartons now.
November 11th, 2012 at 6:53 am
Oh Ronald, I wish I were an angry young man. Well, maybe not angry, just a young man. The big thrill for me these days is just waking up and having a nice, smooth bowel movement.
As for the “inflected GOP economic mess”, this is a Progressive inflicted economic mess. Trillions of dollars wasted on the War on Poverty, to what end? You guys keep forgetting that what caused the 2008 crash was the implosion of mortgage backed derivatives, courtesy of Carter’s CRA, Clinton-era Fannie and Freddie policies and Robert Rubin unleashing the derivatives market.
Even the comedy site of Jib-Jab noted how in 2005, GW Bush tried to warn us about the housing bubble. But the Senate Dems filibustered any reforms, thanks to Dodd while Barney Frank obstructed things on the House side.
November 11th, 2012 at 7:34 am
We’re as young as we feel Andy. However, I too find myself more appreciative each morning of still being on this side of the dirt.
We’ve pointed that economic finger endlessly and obviously, we’re not going to agree. I do agree that there’s always plenty to blame on everyone but that doesn’t zero in to the real economic culprit. Until the money holders, big and small, spend money or put money pack into the economy, the economy will be stagnant. As long as they can simply keep all the money they make, they will not reinvest. Eliminating the Bush tax cuts forces them to either reinvest or pay taxes which in turn, grows the economy, just as it historically has. Sure, Dems have made plenty of errors throughout the years but the tax cuts are the real meat and potatoes of the problem.
If I were to guess, I’d say Amber is actually Patrick (or vise versa). Patrick cannot hold his own against me and usually retaliates by banning me. It stands to reason that after a while that would get rather embarrassing. Nothing like a new strategy right Pat? And by what rationale would I come here incognito only to present myself as this “Amber” did? Patrick, you’re indeed amusing. And no, I’m not laughing with you.
November 11th, 2012 at 9:31 am
“As long as they can simply keep all the money they make, they will not reinvest. ”
They did not get wealthy by sitting on their money. Any fool knows this.
Paying taxes has never grown an economy. When government invests (spends) our money. The private sector consistently has always done everything better at half the costs and either produces a profit or folds.
Government investments when failing continue to be fed intravenously at tax payers cost no matter how dysfunctional.
The H-3 in my own state is the perfect example.
It is the most expensive Interstate Highways ever built, on a cost per mile basis. Due to endless attacks by greenies and local cultural groups its final cost was $1.3 billion, or approximately $80 million per mile.
More than twice the original projection.
“Dems have made plenty of errors throughout the years but the tax cuts are the real meat and potatoes of the problem.”
Gimme a break, please.
Its been established for a good amount of time that we could tax the rich 100% for the next ten years and it wouldnt do squat.
Until the dems stop pi$$ing away money on useless crap and leave the market alone we will continue this downward spiral.
November 11th, 2012 at 9:42 am
