Washington shooting suspect Floyd Lee Corkins II may be crazy but he was certainly motivated to commit violence. His attack against the Family Research Center on Wednesday is being investigated by the FBI as a potential act of domestic terrorism. Corkins was a volunteer at a local GLBT center and a supporter of gay rights and same sex marriage. According to police, Corkins entered the lobby of the offices of the FRC carrying a bag of 15 Chick-Fil-A sandwiches when he told office manager Leo Johnson ″I don′t like your politics″ and opened fire with a Sig Sauer 9 millimeter pistol. Despite being shot in an arm, Johnson managed to restrain Corkins and disarm him. While the GLBT community is publicly condemning the attack, is this just another example of the growing War on Christians begun by Barack Obama?
Okay, perhaps I am stretching things a bit. Allow me to rephrase and say War on Traditional Values, instead. Much of this became prominent in our national discourse when the Obama administration started the whole free contraceptive thing. Oddly enough, just a week before the shooting in Washington, Obama dragged the poster-girl, Sandra Fluke, out on the campaign trail. Obama′s more recent embrace of same-sex marriage caused further waves, even from many black church leaders.
That the shooting has come so shortly after the nationwide Chick-Fil-A protest is no coincidence, nor was the fact that Corkin was carrying food from them. Tony Perkins, president of the FRC, has stated in several interviews that Chick-Fil-A once donated $1,000 to them a few years ago. Perkins is more inclined to blame the Southern Poverty Law Center, a Left-leaning social justice group, for motivating Corkins. The SPLC has listed the FRC as a ′hate group′ for their opposition to gay marriage, abortion, and other causes.
The FBI and Justice Department has yet to determine whether the Washington shooting at the Family Research Center on Wednesday should be classified as domestic terrorism, a hate crime, or just a regular act of violence. Floyd Lee Corkin II, an advocate for homosexual causes, targeted the FRC for their opposition to gay marriage. Fortunately for all, office manager Leo Johnson heroically stopped him from causing a mass shooting. Corkin was found to have 50 rounds of ammunition for his pistol.

The left’s goal is to wipe out conservatism. More of these attacks will occur with the silent blessings from the left elites.

I love the whole “war on Christians” bullsh*t that the right is now spouting.
It’s because of Christianity why people don’t have equal rights, also it’s because of Christianity why scientific progress is being stifled while half-brained Christians try to push their little hocus-jokus science classes in to schools. It’s also because of Christianity why so many little boys are m0lested.
Religion is the biggest cancer that humanity faces.

Snow, your bigotry makes Andys point perfectly.
Me thinks the bullet in the guys arm makes your claim bulsht.
I’m no fan of religious zealots or organized religion.
But as far “only” the Christian community goes you ass holes give support for every other obscure religion on the basis of religious rights.
Your Messiah says hes a Christian. But, I’, willing to bet he’ll still listen to your hateful bullsht.
Religious freedom along with other choices based on individualism were the most motivating factor in creating this country.
It was a huge milestone for our first settlers to worship the God of their choice without governmental condemnation or punishment.
Your hypocrite buddys come running to the aid of radical and mainstream Muslims for every stupid little thing based on the “religious freedom” banner, and then pi$$ on Christians who by the way are the leading charities in this country and world giving more aid than any other demographic.
They help millions more than your b!tchy little yap ever will.
I will add a correction to Andys post though.
This contempt for Christians has been going on long before dickhead arrived.
But then again Snow, you’ve got a point when it comes liberal Christians because the term in itself is an oxymoron. When the ideology and theology are forced to work together, what do you get ?
God Damn America !
Have a seat.

Bill O’Reilly had a rather inarticulate segue last night. Started by reminding viewers how his repeated attacks on “Dr. Killman” in no way led to the shooting of Dr. Tillman. Then went on to blame the Southern Poverty Law Center for the the DC shooting, which could have been an epic tragedy if not the actions of one brave office manager.
We have freedom of speach in this country, and that includes hate speach. The crazies who pick up weapons and kill (or attempt to kill) are breaking the law. The crazies who rant and spew venom are not. We need to stop blaming the actions of a few on the words of many.

“Then went on to blame the Southern Poverty Law Center for the the DC shooting,”
BS, all he said was that they were going to look into a connection if there was one.
“We need to stop blaming the actions of a few on the words of many.”
Huh ? “The words of the many” ?
Who are these people ?
Some major group or population has words instructing murder ?
Usually these things are brought to fruition by something one jerks incitement such as “They gon put y’all back in chains” or “You murdered my wife”
This shooting was based on hatred for an opposing lifestyle by a bigoted gay man.
As much as his peers might of contributed to his motivation, he takes full credit because I doubt theres that many on any side of the aisle that condones this crap.

The War on Christianty is intensifying more and more. Look at the pastor jailed in Arizona for having Bible studies at home. Or photographers that were sued and ordered to pay, for refusing to work for a “gay marriage” event. And let’s not start with abortion in Obamacare. All of this under the watch or the orders of the POTUS, that can’t go to a public Easter or Christmas event, but celebrates the Ramadan in the White House.
All that, with the media largely ignoring or underreporting these events.

Some atheist group in Wisconsin is trying to legally remove all crosses from veteran cemeteries. Another group succeeded in forcing a town to reshape an existing cross-shaped garden of flowers into a rectangle.
There certainly is a war on Christianity and traditional values in America.

This is the kind of crap/people thats so petty I dont even want to be bothered with it. But,if left unchecked, these lifeless morons are the kind of people who will find something offensive about the colors red and blue, as the word “white” will represent racism and supremacy
To show these idiots with no life just how f-ing stupid they are I suggest we ban the use of all capital “A”s.
Next thing you know, Christian gymnasts wont be able to perform the Iron Cross on the rings and our flatulence will have to be properly tuned and scented.
One argument from an *theist was that they dont object to symbolism as much as they want an equal voice also.
Sorry ass hole. But how does a belief in nothing need a voice ?
August 18th, 2012 at 4:07 pm
Gah, another liberal goes berserk. Keep them away from the guns!
August 18th, 2012 at 5:07 pm
Snork Rash
Seen a Nativity Scene @ X-mas in your town, lately ?
August 18th, 2012 at 5:07 pm
But…
… dont liberals hate guns ?
As Harry would say; “The word is out” its actually a far right loon sabotaging the liberal image.”
That can be the only explanation.

Sometimes I read my sht a couple days later and ask myself what I was thinking.
Especially after watching the last three days coverage, lack of coverage. More A holes than I thought could, have placed the blame from O’Reilly to everything else possible but the actual flabby fairymonger who did this.
“As much as his peers might of contributed to his motivation, he takes full credit because I doubt theres that many on any side of the aisle that condones this crap.”
This is debatable

Oh, BTW, Snow Crash, I always get a kick out of how you Liberals like to claim that Christianity stands in the way of science. I guess that is why the atheist Soviet Union won more Noble Prizes in physics and chemistry than the Judeo-Christian founded United States?
Oops! I guess not! Soviet Union 30, U.S.A. 130+!
August 19th, 2012 at 9:36 am
“It’s also because of Christianity why so many little boys are m0lested.”
Snow, obviously you havent been around for a couple days which makes for a crappy debate but that is the dumbest thing you’ve ever said.
As you know, I am a Christian who hates the organized lemmings of any massive Borg like force other than our electorate.
As one whos worked with more junkies and alcoholics than you’ll ever meet I can most assuredly tell you that almost all m0lestations are committed by someone close to hood or family.
The churchs role is just a gnat on the tip of an Elephants tail.
Wise up
As much as I hate the lack of individual thought in organized religion it is still the same people who are there before many when tragedy strikes.
As I’ve said many times.
If it were Christians who acted on 911 you can bet your spiteful ass that it would be Christians who hunt them down.
Muslims for the greater part didnt do sht about their extremist ass holes.
I get overstocks, day old bread etc from the markets in my little town and divide it between a Seventh Day Adventist and Lutheran church that feed literally every homeless or hungry person in Kaneohe.
You may believe theres no higher power than you or scientists but that gives you no right to bash those who actually make the world a better place as I could point out just as many questionable groups and beliefs on the left.
Our forefathers, mostly Christians, used their moral compass in delivering a Constitution that prevented the Church from governing.
Chew on that
