Barack Obama is using a lawsuit to suppress the military vote in Ohio, a key swing state. A state law allows for an extra three days of early voting in Ohio for members of the US military, including National Guard and reservists. The Obama for America campaign, along with the DNC and Ohio Democrat Party filed the lawsuit to overturn the law, which was meant to compensate for military voter disenfranchisement that has been chronicled the last three elections. So, once again, the Obama administration is attempting to stack the deck for the elections, hoping to be able to throw out as many military voter ballots as possible. Just another day in the Obama ′War on America.′
Obama is indeed at war with America. He is at war against Capitalism. War against religion. War against Catholics. War against Women. War against small businesses. War against oil. War against coal. Obama is now even waging war against school discipline! An executive order Obama signed last week will attempt to force schools to raise the threshold required to expel or discipline black students while lowering the threshold to expel or discipline white students.
How tragic our national politics have become since Obama took office. The shameless Obama thinks he can do whatever he wants. His goal is to destroy America, reducing our great nation into a wasteland. Luckily, America is fighting back! The Chick-Fil-A episode this week shows that the country is ready to give Obama the finger. Millions of Americans, including Blacks, Hispanics and Muslims, all oppose same sex marriage. Is it any coincidence that the Barack Obama campaign is raising less money lately since he changed his stance on gay marriage? No! America has had enough! Come November, Obama will be voted out of power and then we can start to recover our morality and common sense.

Well played. The point is to win, is it not?
August 4th, 2012 at 8:11 am
Thats funny Buzzbee…
thats the same thing they tell our troops.
I mean hell, if you’ll throw out a baby you dont why not throwout votes you dont want ?
Even if that voter volunteered to save your life.
Schmucks do this in some way at every election because they know75% of the troops are registered replicans
August 4th, 2012 at 8:14 am
replicans ?
August 4th, 2012 at 8:25 am
It’s an atheist’s view of the world to win at all costs. If you kill a million people in war but only lose 900,000 of your own, they consider that a win because there is no offsetting moral foundation that values life.
August 4th, 2012 at 8:56 am
You really need to get over that delusion, Patrick.
August 4th, 2012 at 9:39 am
Not really a delusion if you look at the way Islam has been has been radicalized.
Theres no God for those ass holes.
Just a perverted proxy or tributary religion thats essentially vacant of morals to humanity, and only their ass-hole peers to answer to.
That makes them no better than believing in nothing other than an ideology that dictates all or nothing.
Even if you and your wife and kids have to blow themselves up.
Life is meaningless to them.
They don’t want any spiritual satisfaction.
These hypocrites just want all non-conformist out of the way so they can rule women and children without any hassles for crotch gratification.
August 4th, 2012 at 9:41 am
On topic, these people will suppress an entire hemisphere of their vote, or even an election.
August 4th, 2012 at 10:01 am
Mick,
Resorting to extremes doesn’t resolve anything. I could do the same and say “Well, if Christianity is such a great vehicle for good moral alignment, then why do so many Catholic priests molest little kids?”.
Patrick continues to imply that if you’re atheist then you have no morals, which is patently false. Ignorance at its finest. If you grow up having parents with good morals and they teach you that, then you will probably have good morals yourself. It has nothing to do with religion.
I’m actually a good example of this. My goal is to leave the planet a better place than when I first got here. It’s hard to make a huge difference, but I do what I can. I sponsor children in Africa, I donate my time developing software for a non-profit, which has done FANTASTIC work – getting money to families that need it, I donate to Children’s Hospital, hell I even donate time every year at a local church, wrapping presents for needy children. I try to do what I can for the planet as well, and it has nothing to do with “gerbil warming”, I just think pollution is gross, so I try to minimize my own footprint. I commute to work (22 miles round-trip) by bike every day, I recycle, and I try to leave places a little bit cleaner than they were when I got there. If I see garbage on the street when I’m riding my bike, then I’ll pick it up, toss it in my backpack and throw it away. Of course, many Republicans will think I’m some flaming liberal because I actually care enough to clean messes, but that’s not the case – I don’t like my house to be trashed, same with the planet I live on, so I do what I can to minimize it.
August 4th, 2012 at 11:04 am
This is a complete and a total lie.
Republicans in Ohio passed a law to RESTRICT early voting three days before the election to ONLY military personnel. 300,000 thousand Ohioans signed a petition to vote on having this law overtured. Rather than face this referendum, the Republicans overturned the law, but it is still in effect due to a technicality. The Obama Administration is suing Ohio to fully repeal the law, AND ALLOW EARLY VOTING THREE DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION FOR ALL OHIOANS, INCLUDING MILITARY PERSONNEL, WHICH IS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ABOVE.
This is what we get from the right wing, and even on Fox News, which is supposed to be a “news” network: complete and total lies. Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. This is all you do. Then you repeat your lies over and over again, trying to turn something that’s false into the truth.
But there is such a thing as truth, and you just heard it.
August 4th, 2012 at 1:23 pm
Snow;
“Resorting to extremes doesn’t resolve anything. I could do the same and say “Well, if Christianity is such a great vehicle for good moral alignment, then why do so many Catholic priests molest little kids?”.
Yeah, you can distort any religion.
Islam is the easiest to do this with.
Bottom line is, I dont see todays Christians running around blowin up innocent people and and calling it religion.
Its not a question of morals.
Its a question of who or what are you accountable to for fckin up.
I’m not a fckn nut but I do believe monitoring and judging ones self is just a little too convenient.
Of course my spiritual beliefs are far past that of the norm and are based more on Karma or state of mind on your death bed.
I want as little guilt as possible when I croak.
To believe theres something more powerful in an infinite theater that could be reason for our existence is not crazy.
I’ve seen hundreds of Atheists understand my explanation look outward and stay sober.
They do not have to commit to anything but the idea there is a higher power.
If anyone believes that in that infinite vastness theres not existences and life forms our minds cant conceive they’re flat out stupid.
Religion is behind some of the worst in history. But responsible for the progression humanity has made so far in so many good ways its not funny.
If American Christians flew into the towers you can bet your ass other American Christians would hunt them down.
Muslims, radical or not,…not so much
But its not religions fault
August 4th, 2012 at 1:29 pm
KLO, STFU
It snot the first time your party pulled this sht.
And heres your other problem;
“AND ALLOW EARLY VOTING THREE DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION FOR ALL OHIOANS,”
I suppose Ohioans ballots take 3 days to get here ?
You guys are fullosht
August 5th, 2012 at 4:53 am
Replicans, Micky? Think you’re watching “Blade Runner” once too often.
August 5th, 2012 at 4:59 am
Yeah, GOK, I’ll bet half of those 300,000 signatures on the petitions gathered by SEIU and whatever reincarnation of ACORN exists in Ohio are erroneous.
The Ohio law is mainly geared to give military personnel, as well as other Ohio citizens living abroad, some extra time to get their ballots in from overseas. So your argument is false as it does cover ALL Ohioans (who serve in the military and or live overseas).
August 5th, 2012 at 5:02 am
Snow and Buzz,
The real delusion are those nutty Liberal Progressives like Ted Turner who think Earth would be better off if the human race were reduced to 500 million or less.
August 5th, 2012 at 5:27 am
Earth would be better off with only myself and ten large breasted Asian women.
Somehow that makes more sense than Ted.
Its 2:40 am here.
Why the fck is this ass hole cranking his cars sub woofer ?
Excuse me, I’ll be right back.
August 5th, 2012 at 5:34 am
Fcker woke up my wife. She said stay inside. Anyone that stupid might shoot you.
Why do I get up so early ?
Because by the time my sun comes up you’re all in church
August 5th, 2012 at 8:49 am
“The Ohio law is mainly geared to give military personnel, as well as other Ohio citizens living abroad, some extra time to get their ballots in from overseas. So your argument is false as it does cover ALL Ohioans (who serve in the military and or live overseas).”
You are not listening. The situation as it stands now in Ohio is, only military personnel have the three extra days to vote. This is a CHANGE from before, when ALL Ohioans had the three extra days. The Obama Admin. is suing to RESTORE the three extra days to EVERYONE, not to take anything away from the military at all.
It was the Republicans who changed the law. It’s pretty easy to see why. The Republicans are doing everything they can to disenfranchise certain classes of voters. The military tends to vote Republican; old people, poor people who might have trouble getting to the polls, are more likely to vote Democratic.
It is unconstiutional to allow only one class of voters the extra time to vote. The Constitutional says everyone has the right to vote, every American citizen, and to do anything to restrict this, like changing the law so only military personnel get the extra time to vote, and not all Ohioans, is unconstitutional.
Fox News put up a story that was a flat out lie, the story that you are parroting here. They said the Obama Admin. is trying to take the extra time away from the military. This is not true. Just the opposite it true.
But, like the great man said, “What is truth?”
August 5th, 2012 at 10:27 am
“You are not listening. The situation as it stands now in Ohio is, only military personnel have the three extra days to vote. This is a CHANGE from before, when ALL Ohioans had the three extra days. The Obama Admin. is suing to RESTORE the three extra days to EVERYONE, not to take anything away from the military at all.”
Yeah, we got it.
But you never explained why non military Ohioans need three extra days.
“It is unconstiutional to allow only one class of voters the extra time to vote. The Constitutional says everyone has the right to vote, every American citizen, and to do anything to restrict this, like changing the law so only military personnel get the extra time to vote, and not all Ohioans, is unconstitutional.”
Gee, I’m in Hawaii.
We have a huge military complex here all mostly deployed.
So, only when civilian Ohioans dont get the three extra days its unconstitutional ?
You’re an idiot, and fullosht
August 5th, 2012 at 10:30 am
“You are not listening. The situation as it stands now in Ohio is, only military personnel have the three extra days to vote.”
And thats how it should be nationwide since their ballots are snailmailed
Interstate mail takes a day, or the ole geezers can do an absentee ballot
August 5th, 2012 at 12:18 pm
@ GOK
“It is unconstiutional to allow only one class of voters the extra time to vote.”
Ahh! So every time some group of Democrats in a major city keep their polling places open longer than the rest of those in a state, they are not violating the Constitution by giving some citizens extra time to vote?
August 5th, 2012 at 2:08 pm
BUT THE LAWSUIT WILL NOT IN ANY WAY CHANGE HOW THE MILITARY VOTES NOW IN OHIO!
It is as simple as that, and to say otherwise, like you have, is a lie. The Obama Admin. is NOT attempting to restrict the military vote in Ohio. It is just not true.
August 5th, 2012 at 4:05 pm
KLO, you ignorant slut.
I told you this wasnt the first time you creeps pulled this crap.
Stop calling it a lie.
Any fckin idiot knows how viable Ohio has ALWAYS been to any election.
Right now, live (taped) Axelrod said it himself to Chris Wallace “why shouldnt Ohioans get the same opportunity as the military ?”
So, you’re saying its unconstitutional when Ohioans dont get the same extra three days as the military ?
The military has “always” had this privilege as far back as the civil war.
Everyone else had to make it to the polls on election day.
“Republicans traditionally have had the lock on the military vote, and with Ohio being a key battleground state especially this year — Obama leads GOP challenger Mitt Romney there by only 6 points in the latest Quinnipiac University poll — these military votes could swing the Nov. 6 election to either candidate.
And as the Buckeye State is considered one of the key marginals, a victory for either candidate there could end up being the difference between taking the White House and losing it.”
http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/Ohio-military-vote-Democrats/2012/08/03/id/447552
=============================================
The civilian population in Ohio has always been a major factor so by allowing all of the civilian extra days does in fact suppress the military vote by offsetting it with a move that could allow for Ohioans more opportunity than civilians in any other state.
THAT! my friend is unconstitutional.
There are old, sick, disabled, absent voters in every state.
Ask yourself, why Ohio and not the whole country ?
Texas ? Arizona ?
In Chess, once you take your hand off the piece you’re moving, the move is complete.
Theres no do overs.
Barry initiated this crap and now its the 15 military groups turn by suing Obama for giving civilians in ‘one state only’ the same privilege as those who would die for you or are stuck in some cave in Borabotra.
Wise up, no ones lying except for you
August 5th, 2012 at 4:50 pm
Look, the title of this article is:
“Obama Suppresses Military Vote in Ohio”
That’s a complete and a total falsehood. The law suit does not seek in any way to change the no. of days that military personnel have to vote. It is not going to overturn any voting rights the military has right now.
The law suit seeks to give the same time period that military personnel have to all Ohioans, like it was before the law was changed just recently by the republicans. You can argue with whether or not that is cool, I guess, and that seems to be what you are doing, but the first part you cannot argue with. It is just not true. It is a Fox News lie, smear, whatever. Fox does this all the time. They invent some controversy, then harp on it and promulgate it all over the place, and after a while it does not matter if it is true or not.
It bothers me to see Mitt Romney buying into these things, however. McCain didn’t do that. It could hurt Mitt. Mitt needs to let someone else do the lying and the smearing, and hold himself above that. Remember Bush and the swiftboat smear? Bush never once endorsed it, just the opposite. He had no comment on it, and nothing but good things to say about Kerry’s military record. But Mitt seems more than willing to embrace any lie or smear or whatever, just fine, and that’s not good, I don’t think.
Let someone else sling the mud. Mitt’s not doing that.
August 5th, 2012 at 5:23 pm
Many of you sure do have a “religiousity” about your views.
Nothing can deter you.
Any story, episode, issue or event is political and there is a “right” and wrong, with wrong being anything that does not further the cause of the extreme right.
I suppose I should applaud your dedication, although it often appears to border on fanaticism.
Disagree and you will eventually be branded a liar (euphemism for an alternate opinion). It may take 60 comments to get there, but its coming.
Over the last couple of months I believe that Ronald Ward, Me, Klo and Snow Crash have all been branded as liars.
It appears that if an individual renders opinions that are not in “lockstep” with the rulers and minions on this site it is generally due to their dishonesty.
How strange that such a collection of liars has found themselves on this site. I suppose, given that evidence, that one can only assume that anyone that doesn’t ascribe to a far right view is most likely a person of questionable character that has a problem with the truth. They are often called a number of other names, many of them obscene, but liar seems to be the most prevalent.
What an amazing coincidence, people on the right are always truthful, while everyone else is less than truthful.
August 5th, 2012 at 5:41 pm
“Look, the title of this article is:
“Obama Suppresses Military Vote in Ohio”
That’s a complete and a total falsehood.”
================
HOW ?
Do the math.
1 million Ohioan civilians obtaining the same voting privilege of 10 military personnel overseas or on assignment does not suppress the military vote ?
==============================================
Once again.
“The Obama campaign was suing in the swing state of Ohio to block a law that extends early voting for members of the military for an additional three days. A fierce battle erupted, with Democrats (and a few conservatives) arguing that Obama campaign was simply trying to extend the military’s privilege to everyone else.”
Everyone else does not deserve the same privilege since they are not overseas or on military assignment, or risking their life to preserve the only form of democracy we have…the Electorate.
If you stand by your interpretation why not let everyone vote 3 days early and 3 days later ?
Because any semi informed idiot (which prevails on the left) knows that the right almost owns the military vote.
Who deserves to vote early/late ?
You and I ?
Or the sniper who sht n pi$$ed himself staying in the same position for 3 days ?
Or the covert op whos 6000 miles away having tea with members of the Muslim Brotherhood ?
ANSWER ME !!!!!
August 5th, 2012 at 6:30 pm
“Many of you sure do have a “religiousity” about your views.
Nothing can deter you.”
Aww, give it rest.
intellectual dishonesty is whats taking place.
The military has always had extended privileged voting nationwide.
Theres more than one way to lie and when your man has failed 3 out of 4 corners you’ll omit, present items out of context, claim discrimination of whatever applies be it voting, race, gay
The rest of your post is irrelevant.
But I’ll humor you.
The rest that left got their asses handed to them for lying and grew tired of trying to turn sht into ice cream.
As one who subscribed to liberal ideology all his life and been 90% right of center for the last 13-14years I can honestly say I’d cut of my right index finger to of had Clinton run the show for the last 3 1/2 years.
Obama is a horrible, horrible President.

August 5th, 2012 at 8:04 pm
Since 2005, Ohio has had in person early-voting in the three days prior to the election. This year, however, the Republican legislature in Ohio eliminated early voting during this period, except for members of the military.
Simple as that.
The Republicans are trying to eliminate something that was not in their favor and the Democrats are trying to gain it back.
No right or wrong, simply politics.
No different than gerrymandering.
I can’t believe every issue is a “let’s throw down” battle that is purportedly between good and evil. Keyboard warriors.
Geez, can I buy a round of Xanax for everyone?
August 5th, 2012 at 8:35 pm
So Buzz, I want to know how the attempt by Obama to strip the military of a centuries old right translates to your statement ?
Your argument is disingenuous at best.
All of Ohio gets to vote early except military stationed there and/or which are deployed.
August 5th, 2012 at 8:39 pm
Like I told KLO, its not the first time the left pulled this crap on the troops.
“Barack Obama, who once claimed he supported gay marriage because of the soldiers “fighting on my behalf,” evidently cannot be bothered to defend those same soldiers’ right to vote.”
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/05/Democrats-Versus-Military-Voters-Not-the-First-Time
So spare me.
You validate my reasoning in # 26
August 5th, 2012 at 10:07 pm
Did you read what was written?
Everyone could vote three days early.
The Republicans eliminated everyone but the military.
The Democrats want to restore that privelege for everyone.
Very simple. The Republicans would like to keep it limited to the military for political reasons, while the Democrats would like to restore it for everyone for the very same reason.
There are no angels or heroes here, simply politicians doing what politicians do.
There is really nothing else to it.
August 6th, 2012 at 5:54 am
Buzz and the rest,
Ohio, like most states, allow for absentee ballots weeks before an election date. So ALL Ohioans already have an opportunity to vote for more than just three days.
Military personnel and others who live overseas need extra time to vote. As I mentioned before, are you also now going to stop cities from extending their voting hours since the rest of the state is not?
Obama and the Democrats will do whatever they can to suppress the vote of the military, since they know it usually runs 3:1 in favor of Republicans.
August 6th, 2012 at 7:44 am
Obama and the Democrats will do whatever they can to suppress the vote of the military, since they know it usually runs 3:1 in favor of Republicans.
Well, of course they will, just as Republicans will try to suppress the vote of groups that are known to favor Democrats.
This is breaking news?
August 6th, 2012 at 10:39 am
“Did you read what was written?
Everyone could vote three days early.
The Republicans eliminated everyone but the military.
The Democrats want to restore that privelege for everyone.”
Yeah.
And the only people who should be allowed early votes are military and a few civilian exceptions to the rule.
We civilians already have the “privilege” of voting on election day.
Why not move all 50 states up 3 days ?
Because the majority of those civilians in those states have always been able to make it there on election day.
Since neither you or gok will answer my questions, I have my answer.
August 6th, 2012 at 11:15 am
“This is breaking news?”
I’m just a little partial to those who are actually willing to die to preserve our rights and privileges. If you think the military has some kind pf monopoly and theres too many of them, vote for Ron Paul.
I cant even vote because of possessing one fcking joint 30 years ago.
This kind of sht makes me physically and mentally ill
August 6th, 2012 at 1:10 pm
GOK is correct.
What the Obama campaign requested was a preliminary injunction that doesn’t seek to restrict military voting but simply asked that the full early voting period be open to all citizens, just like it was under last year’s law. This was even admitted by Fox News, “the lawsuit does not restrict the ability of military personnel to cast their ballots early.
In reality, it is Mitt Romney promoting restricting voting rights for 900K vets.
This is no more than the usual dishonesty of today’s desperate and hate filled radical right. Andrew tosses out another lie and then tries to either justify it, whitewash it, or cover it up (or a combination of any plus you can name your own) with a few paragraphs of ranting, bashing diatribe.
Andrew, does your froth short out many keyboards or do you have one of those soft rubber indestructible ones?
August 7th, 2012 at 5:56 am
According to records from the State of Ohio, in the last three election cycles, some 89,000 military votes were disqualified due to the ballots arriving late. So apparently there was a problem therefore a solution of giving the military extra time as a remedy.
August 7th, 2012 at 7:08 am
“What the Obama campaign requested was a preliminary injunction that doesn’t seek to restrict military voting but simply asked that the full early voting period be open to all citizens, just like it was under last year’s law. This was even admitted by Fox News, “the lawsuit does not restrict the ability of military personnel to cast their ballots early.”
This is why I treat you like sht. FOX admits nothing, and why should they have to ?
Was there an incorrect or bias presentation at first ?
Also, the unanswered question still remains among your bullsht.
Why should anyone, swing state or not, receive the same privilege as the military that was designed to count their votes in time ?
You have nothing of substance to back your accusations.
And then of course theres your little subliminal, if not blatant personal attacks weaved into everything you say.
Everyone gets 4 years to prepare for their trip to the nearest poll.
Why the fck and how the fck did we ever come up with three day voting periods for civilians ?
Whatever happened to “election day”?
I understand the dynamics at play for someone who believes he may lose in a particular state.
With a few exceptions to the rules, surgeries, disabled, allowing all these different span options for anyone besides military is bullsht.
Andy may froth, but at least it comes from an orifice closest to his brain.
Your keyboard must have sht stuck between all the keys because what you present on my screen looks as if you squatted and pushed.
August 7th, 2012 at 8:42 am
Andy, you appear to be lost in your own delusion. Mitt Romney is supporting Ohio’s Republican decision that does away with three days of early voting for all but those covered under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voter Act aka UOCAVA. This support restricts of voting rights for as many as 913,000 Ohio veterans as they no longer apply.
Ohio has had in person early-voting in the three days before the election since 2005. That changed as Republican leaders eliminated early voting except for military members. Obama wants to restore voting rights for all Ohioans.
What’s being disguised as “Obama suppresses military vote in Ohio”, which is about as blatantly dishonest as you can get, is the fact that most of these 913,000 veterans work full time or multiple jobs which makes the single day in person vote a hardship for them. And that my friend, is the real reason Ohio Republicans made the change.
August 7th, 2012 at 10:01 am
What a bunch o crap.
Veterans are not stuck overseas and even have access to absentee ballots.
Both parties should knock off this crap as it disenfranchises the only real form of democracy this country has.
Employers “must” allow an employee time off to vote.
So this is pure bullsht I dont care what laws have been in place since when.
But hey ! Now we dont need I.D.s !
That is a problem worth worrying about when you invite 6 milion illegals to stay
August 8th, 2012 at 5:45 am
This law has nothing to do with stopping Ohioans from voting early. They can easily do so with an absentee ballot.
Of course, Ohio was one of the target states where ACORN sent in their hoards to cast illegal absentee ballots for Obama in 2008.
August 8th, 2012 at 7:32 am
“What’s being disguised as “Obama suppresses military vote in Ohio”, which is about as blatantly dishonest as you can get, is the fact that most of these 913,000 veterans work full time or multiple jobs which makes the single day in person vote a hardship for them.”
“This support restricts of voting rights for as many as 913,000 Ohio veterans as they no longer apply.”
By law employers must give them time to vote, so…. yer fullofit again.
These veterans, God bless them, are basically civilians and are not overseas performing active duties such as the sniper who stays in one spot sometimes for days shtting and pssing himself waiting for the shot, or the soldier whos arms just got blown off for your right to distort, and vote.
The right plays this game also by retaining ancient post slavery era legislation preventing felons from voting.
Most felons are liberals, anyone whos been exposed to penal institutions knows this.
Ironically, theres very little sharing or wealth redistribution among them inside or outside prison walls
I’m a convicted felon who hurt no one.
If I were a liberal felon and republicans restored my right to vote, they would get that vote.
But, of course I’m no liberal mostly because even though being stripped of the 2nd and voting, Republicans and Conservatism still rocks the ass off the left.
August 8th, 2012 at 1:02 pm
Andy, you continue to avoid reality and repeat a debunked lie. It restricts early voting rights for as many as 913,000 Ohio veterans as they no longer qualify under UOCAVA. I somehow visualize you as covering your ears and singing “la,la,la I can’t hear you”. Slap yourself man, this isn’t opinion or some left talking point but rather facts.
But you run from reality and then counter with yet another false accusation that ACORN allowed mass quantities of illegal votes to be cast in Ohio, as if that lie gives some credence to your previous lie.
August 8th, 2012 at 1:20 pm
You might as well cease, Ronald, as you will hurt yourself banging your head against the wall.
The entire post was debunked in ten minutes, but over and over it was stated that this was some anti-military initiative.
It wasn’t, isn’t, and everyone knew it, but some people never want the truth to get in the way of a good story.
August 9th, 2012 at 4:51 am
Talk about debunking, are there really 913,000 ACTIVE DUTY military personnel living in Ohio??? No, there certainly is not! Those no longer living overseas in the military cam easily vote early with an absentee ballot weeks before an election.
ACORN was recruiting college students from outside Ohio, putting them up at ’safe houses’ where they could apply for absentee ballots and game The System.
August 9th, 2012 at 4:52 am
Hah! Right on, Buzz! Ronald needs to learn that he’ll get no quarter here.
August 9th, 2012 at 8:24 am
Good God !!
Is there an agreement here ?
Off topic question for the tech ignorant.
Why is it that my human check box Will not appear sometimes ?
It can be rather frustrating.
“How can you eat your pudding if you cant eat your meat?”
August 9th, 2012 at 6:19 pm
Who said anything about 900K on active duty? Not I nor is that even relevant. But when attempting to rationalize with you, what’s relevance or such have anything to do with anything? We’re talking about 900K vets.
I too agree with buzz. When you’re trying to communicate with an admitted bigot, an exposed blatant liar, an obvious blind partisan hack, or someone so induced from their hate infested kool-aid that they can’t even stay focused on the reality of vets vrs active duty, I suppose head banging was an appropriate analogy.
August 9th, 2012 at 8:13 pm
“We’re talking about 900K vets.”
Which has nothing to do with nothing as was previously mentioned but for some stunted reasoning you keep bringing up vets as I already made the distinction between active duty service persons deserving 3 extra days and not the whole friggin state.
Scroll up shmuck.
I get along just fine with the leftys here who treat myself and others like humans absent empty condescending snobbery such as yours.
You’re just a wordy troll who thinks he’s so very astute and yet never made a valid point.
Dont talk bigotry Ronald.
You’re the biggest bigot ever with all your pre- determined personal attacks on anything right of far left idiocy.
August 10th, 2012 at 6:45 am
Ditto to what Micky said, Ronald. We are talking about currently active military, whether full-time or reserve, which is about 89,000 people. YOU are the one confusing the issue with this 913,000 veteran number, whom, as I have already said, can still vote early with absentee ballots.
August 10th, 2012 at 8:55 am
The lawsuit Obama’s presenting is to block the GOP law that does away with three days of early voting for everyone except those covered under the UOCAVA. That law restricts voting rights for as many as 913,000 Ohio veterans including military retirees.
You are covered by UOCAVA until you leave active service so once you leave, your voting rights become the same as any civilian.
This isn’t something that I just made up.

“That law restricts voting rights for as many as 913,000 Ohio veterans including military retirees.”
Would that not be advantageous to Obama since most military, active military, retired military, or veterans tend to vote republican ?
So please, stop pretending like you give a sht. You as well as I know that you could care less about any military demographic as the majority of them lean right.
You’re fcking up your own argument and are too fckin stupid to see it.
With a few exceptions, the people you mentioned are here on American soil and no one or thing is stopping their vote come election day or via absentee ballot.
However, Barry does not want to afford the active overseas military and extra three days because Ohio being a swing state those overseas ballots could very well make enough difference to lose Ohio for him.
August 10th, 2012 at 4:55 pm
Your last sentence Micky, is exactly why intelligent conversation is impossible with you or the cloned hacks you speak for (or as). The argument is not nor has it ever been that President Obama “does not want to afford the active overseas military and(sic) extra three days”. This is the very lie that has been debunked. This is the distracting lie that you’re using to unjustly bash Obama. You falsely claim Obama’s lawsuit is meant to take away voting rights from military families when in fact he is simply trying to restore voting rights to all Ohio residents.
On another note that directly relates to this, Ohio is now attempting to make it even harder for Democratic voters to vote by lowering the time window in Democratic counties to 8 am and 5 pm, while expanding Republican counties hours. Seriously! Starting October 1st, voters in Dem leaning precincts like Cleveland, Columbus, Akron and Toledo will now only be allowed to vote between 8 am and 5 pm on weekdays, when most work. Republican counties have expanded early voting hours on nights and weekends, when most people have time to vote.
Can you honestly tell me that’s fair? That’s an equal playing field? That for Obama or anyone else to sue to restore equal voting rights for everyone would be saying they’re trying to take away voters rights?
You cannot, nor can your cloned sockpuppets, answer that with any rationale as that would conflict with your agenda.
August 10th, 2012 at 7:31 pm
You’re being disingenuous.
If everyone in Ohio had the same rights as active overseas military it would offset the advantage those overseas are meant to have.
Enough already ass hole.
I tried being nice to you and you perpetuate the circle with straw man bs while attacking me personally, again.
Fck you

“You cannot, nor can your cloned sockpuppets, answer that with any rationale as that would conflict with your agenda.”
Fck you.
You’ve never rationalized anything here, nor answered mine or Andys questions.
You blew it. Like many liberals before you.
I offered up polite discourse with no name calling or persona smashing and you still cant help your pathetic hateful ass.

Wanna talk about voter suppression by many proxy means ?
Lets bring up ACORN and New Black Panthers who’ve yet to answer for crimes at the polls caught on tape.
Better yet.
Ask Holder whos suckin his dick and you’ll have your answer.
The documentation is there on tape for everyone to see.
I’ve been humble in admitting both parties play with the electorate and explained how it pi$$es me off.
Yet you acknowledge no BS on this issue coming from the left.
That makes you an ideological bigot.
One of this countrys biggest problems that prevents any results and promotes gridlock.
We’ll try again when I think you can behave.
God knows I’ve tried
August 10th, 2012 at 7:44 pm
Forget it Ron, you are merely rearranging the deck chairs.
The post was debunked in comment 9 and 5 times since then. We are now approaching 60 comments.
You can put the words in any order you want and the answer will still come back as Obama is trying to take the 3 day window away from the military. Is he? Of course not, but that doesn’t seem to matter.
So you will keep getting the same responses, in addition to “ANSWER MY QUESTIONS”.
Do the questions have anything to do with this subject? Well, no, “BUT ANSWER MY QUESTIONS”.
By the way, I think the law was intended to make it more convenient for the military to vote. I don’t think the intent was to “give them an advantage”.

Convenience is an advantage…jeeZ
Debunked in 9 ?
#9
“Republicans in Ohio passed a law to RESTRICT early voting three days before the election to ONLY military personnel.”
That means overseas military gets a fair edge like everyone at home still has absentee ballots and the “”convenience” of being able to get to the polls.
#9 is saying Barry wants everyone from Ohio, regardless of their location to have the same convenience,
That convenience, if afforded, for “all Ohioans” would offset the point of the present laws fairness to active deployments.
Obama wants to see this happen.
Buzz.
You’re using GOK too back up Ron ?
You should apologize to Ron
“300,000 thousand Ohioans signed a petition to vote on having this law overtured.”
Well, that wont help much.
Ron said theres close to a million vets in Ohio.
You and Ron should get together. Then you’d both actually be funny
“Rather than face this referendum, the Republicans overturned the law, but it is still in effect due to a technicality. The Obama Administration is suing Ohio to fully repeal the law, AND ALLOW EARLY VOTING THREE DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION FOR ALL OHIOANS, INCLUDING MILITARY PERSONNEL, WHICH IS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ABOVE.”
Bullsht GOK.
Heres the quotes that show Barry wants all military, which would include overseas deployed.
Romney camp;
“We disagree with the basic premise that it is ‘arbitrary’ and unconstitutional to give three extra days of in-person early voting to military voters and their families, and believe it is a dangerous and offensive argument for President Obama and the DNC [Democratic National Committee] to make,”
Katie Biber, General Counsel for the Romney campaign wrote in a memo issued Sunday. “It is despicable for the Obama campaign to challenge Ohio’s lawful decision.”
The memo follows comments issued by Romney Saturday denouncing the Obama administration’s actions. “President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage,” Romney said in a statement in which he pledged to stand with “the fifteen military groups” defending the state law.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
“But Obama staffers say the Romney campaign is “completely false and misleading” in its characterizations.”
Really ?
“What that lawsuit calls for is not to deprive the military of the right to vote on the final weekend of the campaign, of course they should have that right,” Obama’s top campaign advisor David Axelrod told host Chis Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.” “What that suit is about is whether the rest of Ohio should have that same right.”
There you have it from the horses ass himself.
The rest of Ohioans do not deserve the same convenience as active military.
” And I think it’s shameful that Governor Romney would hide behind our servicemen and women to try and win a lawsuit to try to deprive other Ohioans of the right to vote.”
Romney wants to deprive Ohioans of their vote ?
NFW ! Say it aint true (it aint true)
How can this snake with too much eye liner substantiate that ?
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
So there you have it folks

This was in complete.
“Bullsht GOK.
Heres the quotes that show Barry wants all military, which would include overseas deployed.
Shoulda said;
“Bullsht GOK.
Heres the quotes that show Barry knows all military, which would include overseas deployed, would be at a disadvantage if he had hi sway by extending the same convenience to the whole state.
You guts really suck at math
