Leave it to the liberal director of the opening ceremonies last night, Danny Boyle, to ruin what is normally a slam dunk good time. Since the beginning of time, people have used athletic competitions to get away from the problems of the world, suspending for a time the realities of poverty, war, and human nature. It has been so since the very first Olympic games in ancient Athens when otherwise warring city-states put away their differences to celebrate their common bonds as people.

Last night we got hit with a liberal mess from a known leftist film director who should have stayed home in his cave rather than get in over his head in sports. There were the barons of industry in their top hats and cigars walking around doing nothing, while the poor proletariat class worked in the factories endlessly, perfectly encapsulating the liberal-Marxian view of industry. What the hell was that doing at a ceremony that is suppose to celebrate the best of humanity? Who needs reminded there was a first world war and pollution exists? Lesbian kissing and interracial couples. Great, but why?

The problem with liberals is they don’t like human beings much and they are all too serious about it. We are the destroyers of the environment, the suppressors of freedom, the robber-barons, the war-makers. They can’t even suppress their hatred for a moment while orchestrating a simply athletic event. Ask a liberal what he likes about humanity and you get a blank stare.

And this is why liberals and sports don’t mix. Sports are diversions from the world we know. We don’t need to be reminded what liberals hate about the world, because it is all too much they hate, and it is all too wrong of a venue for their hatred to be expressed. Danny Boyle, go home and shut up.
