Leave it to the liberal director of the opening ceremonies last night, Danny Boyle, to ruin what is normally a slam dunk good time. Since the beginning of time, people have used athletic competitions to get away from the problems of the world, suspending for a time the realities of poverty, war, and human nature. It has been so since the very first Olympic games in ancient Athens when otherwise warring city-states put away their differences to celebrate their common bonds as people.
Last night we got hit with a liberal mess from a known leftist film director who should have stayed home in his cave rather than get in over his head in sports. There were the barons of industry in their top hats and cigars walking around doing nothing, while the poor proletariat class worked in the factories endlessly, perfectly encapsulating the liberal-Marxian view of industry. What the hell was that doing at a ceremony that is suppose to celebrate the best of humanity? Who needs reminded there was a first world war and pollution exists? Lesbian kissing and interracial couples. Great, but why?
The problem with liberals is they don’t like human beings much and they are all too serious about it. We are the destroyers of the environment, the suppressors of freedom, the robber-barons, the war-makers. They can’t even suppress their hatred for a moment while orchestrating a simply athletic event. Ask a liberal what he likes about humanity and you get a blank stare.
And this is why liberals and sports don’t mix. Sports are diversions from the world we know. We don’t need to be reminded what liberals hate about the world, because it is all too much they hate, and it is all too wrong of a venue for their hatred to be expressed. Danny Boyle, go home and shut up.

Modern liberalism is a religion for many (most?) of its adherents, and your religion finds expression in EVERYTHING you do. There is therefore no field of endeavor which they will not politicize.

I did not watch it, but a relative told me there was even a song of how much they love their social health care system.

I won’t watch anymore opening ceremonies. I find it to be amazingly boring. Not surprised they would celebrate socialized medicine while anyone in the UK with means comes to the US when they have a serious illness.
And we want to become like them?

Michael, yep it was a mess as thick as London’s fog. Can’t imagine why they would allow the politicizing of the Olympics.
LRivera, yep and I should not have left that part out of the piece. Just too much too much of big fat artery clogging liberalism to confront.

Rivera…
Yeah, I saw that where the system(nurses/doctors) was chasing grimm reapers from little children.
Could of been a salute medical advances as well.
Maybe not.
============================================
The intro to the ceremonies, beginning with sunsets and shots of English countryside eventually showing a charcoal sketched scroll of some of historys finest contributors such as… Darwin, Shakespear, Newton… and then John Lennon and Paul McCartney ?
NBC, ARE YOU SERIOUS ?
Not Einstein ? Not Pasteur ?

Between the bell-ringing thing and the stupid New Age drum silliness (led by a deaf woman who can ‘feel’ her ‘music’ by vibrations), it was a very sad opening ceremony. As I wrote, the only part I liked was the spoof video of the Queen and James Bond.
Of course, the conspiracy folks are having a field day with the ‘Illuminati Olympics’ with all of the Eye of Horus symbols spaced about the top of the main stadium.

Illuminati ? Any halfbreed Muslims on that team ?

“We are the destroyers of the environment, the suppressors of freedom, the robber-barons, the war-makers.”
At least you admit it. I can think of a few other things to add to the list.
“Ask a liberal what he likes about humanity and you get a blank stare.”
What I like about humanity is the intrinsic worth and basic goodness of all human beings. All anyone needs is a chance. America was founded on that prinicple. It is a fitting role of government to protect this basic right, that everyone was created equal and deserves a chance in life.
Is that a blank stare?

GOK;
“What I like about humanity is the intrinsic worth and basic goodness of all human beings.”
And you’re such a great example.
“All anyone needs is a chance. America was founded on that prinicple.”
No it wasnt, idiot.
Due to “Life and Liberty”, you’re free to pursue that chance to achieve happiness, not have it dropped in your lap and paid for by me.
No one is guaranteed a chance
Its the peoples duty to see that those delegations, opportunities or choices remain with the people, not government.
Government is there only to make sure those rights are not imped upon.
“It is a fitting role of government to protect this basic right, that everyone was created equal and deserves a chance in life.
Is that a blank stare?”
Yeah, specially when I was told “you didn’t build that !”
The best part of humanity is the endless generations of knowledge handed down over the centuries all in the interest of being that much better a people.
In 5000 years we’ll of perfected humanity. Speech will be obsolete but for singing, we’ll of found out where God is hiding that particle.
We’ll all be mutts, no white, no black, brown, yellow, there will no races except for the human one.
Of course theres always meteorites that screw up everything and we gotta start all over again.
(got a blank stare?)

Thank you, Micky. You just saved me some time.
Amusing to me that GOK confirms what he hates about humanity (plus “a few other things”) before talking out of the other side of his mouth. Liberal self-hatred projected onto others is the root of their personality disorder.

If GOK thinks all anyone needs is a chance, especially “deserves a chance in life”, then maybe GOK-Klo has become Pro-Life, since all of those aborted babies only want a chance in life that they deserve, too.
July 30th, 2012 at 8:11 am
Chance means outcome to liberals. They believe everyone deserves an outcome in life.
