Democrats are in full retreat due to the Supreme Court ruling that the penalties involved in the Affordable Care Act are in fact a tax. The 5-4 majority opinion written by Chief Justice John Roberts dismissed the legitimacy of Congress using the Commerce Clause to authorize ′Obama-Care′ and instead declared that the penalties for not buying health insurance are a tax. Given that the law was written delegating collection of the penalty to the IRS, one can easily see why Justice Roberts saw ACA as being Constitutional under the authority of Congress to levy taxes. So from the White House, with Jay Carney, to Congress, such as Nancy Pelosi, Democrats are in a state of denial that Barack Obama is about to levy the single largest tax increase upon the middle class in American history.
The one basic truth being lost in all of this is that all spending is a tax. Obama has already broken all records for spending more than any other president. Now the cost of that spending will slam into the wallets of every American. The Congressional Budget Office reports that the cost of Obama-Care will be more than $1.7 Trillion dollars over the next ten years, revised from the earlier estimate of $960 Billion dollars. The Kaiser Family Foundation has calculated that the cost of health insurance premiums for the average American household will increase $2,200 per year. Obama and the Democrats deceived the nation saying that such costs would decline $2,500 a year.
The impact of economic growth is another fly in the buttermilk. The Supreme Court decision now makes it obvious to businesses that hiring more employees this year could prove to be just too expensive. The uncertainty of what may follow after the November elections adds to the position of waiting and holding back on expansion. So we can expect the rest of this year to continue to be a flat one for GDP growth, which means the tax base will remain stagnant as well.
Barack Obama and the rest of the Democrats can deny all they want that the penalties of the Affordable Care Act are not a tax, but the effect is still the same. Obama-Care will cause the single largest added expense to middle class families nationwide. Jay Carney, Nancy Pelosi and the rest can make all of the excuses they want, but the bottom line is that American households earning $40,000 to $80,000 per year are going to be hit hard in their wallets thanks to Obama-Care.

I call it TAXACARE.
July 1st, 2012 at 7:47 am
I’d call it “Obamatax”, but this law alone has like 20 of them.
July 1st, 2012 at 9:51 am
I’ll bet good money due to bureaucratic bull, red tape, etc this thing wont see light til 2020 if it ever does get somewhere.
Some 14 parts are already implemented, but thats a freckle on a Hippos ass compared to the anarchy the three brachs will go thru, never mind the States alone
July 1st, 2012 at 1:53 pm
I’ll call the penalty a tax– ready?
If you’re such a selfish, irresponsible douche that you want to freeload off of other people’s participation in our national health care system– and you want free emergency care if you get hit by a bus, complement of those of us participating…
…enjoy your diċk tax. It’s not enough if you ask me.
I’ll meanwhile enjoy the tax CUTS that businesses and middle class get for participating… in addition to the actual health care, regular health checks, etc.
July 1st, 2012 at 2:52 pm
“I’ll meanwhile enjoy the tax CUTS that businesses and middle class get for participating…”
50 or more employees, or pay a tax for not participating ?
WTF is this ? N. Korea ?
In your fckn dreams idiot.
Everyones jumpin ship or raising private premiums.
This sht will be in court and congress so long your ass will be dead by the time anything happens.
Ass hole lied a million times, said” it was not a tax, your taxes will not go up one dime”. The majority is pi$$ed and you’re just shttn your pants knowing you wont succeed in running this country broke with Mandarin as our official language.
Roberts call was pure fckin genius by giving the people the decision.
November will be most excellent
Foolish schmuck.

In your fckn dreams idiot.
Hah, try reality. Watching republicans on the talk shows talk about “repeal” are like walking ghosts in the Six Sense. They don’t know they’re dead.
So quit your whinging, freeloader, especially since someone with YOUR health history applying for insurance for the first time would now actually GET coverage and not die penniless in the street.
Your frickin’ welcome. If you choose to pay a tax instead, feel free. Over time, there will be less idiots taking free rides on other people’s premiums.
This is law now. No going back. It’s a done deal. We’re finally going to have a country full of people who are insured, and a few straggling freeriding losers paying extra taxes. If you put yourself in that category, then you’ve got zero personal responsibility. You just want the rest of us to have to pay your bills, so screw you and eat the tax.
July 1st, 2012 at 3:37 pm
Not so, “Me”. Laws can be abolished or modified. Furthermore, if the poor are going to get subsidized, guess who’s gonna pay for them? The rich? Ha ha.
You keep babbling in theory, I have already seen this stuff in action. It’s uglier tha Michelle early morning.
July 1st, 2012 at 4:33 pm
What Me says is crap. Laws can be changed.
Democrats want this Health Care Tax so that they can expand and keep their power. Democrats are promising benefits from my property.
When Obama won the election a naive lady said she had no more worries because Obama was going to take care of it. REALLY? I wonder how she is doing now?
This TAX is not going to solve any health care cost problem. It will make health care a nightmare. Any one who believes this TAX is a benefit is naive.
July 1st, 2012 at 4:54 pm
“You keep babbling in theory, I have already seen this stuff in action. It’s uglier tha Michelle early morning.”
Thank You LR
The foolish moonbats who buy this ObamaTAX are indeed babbling. As their premiums rise and the number of freeloaders INCREASE,they just might realize they miss that precious private free market doctor visit.

ME;
“So quit your whinging, freeloader, especially since someone with YOUR health history applying for insurance for the first time would now actually GET coverage and not die penniless in the street.”
Yeah, whos whining ? People dying in the street ?
Everyone gets covered regardless one way or another. Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIPS, 65% of us are happy with what we pay for.
Unfortunately now our premiums are rising due to the pending threat of socialist lazy fcks like you.
I work with addicts and alcoholics, I and my crew save lives delivering ODs and seizures to detoxs and hospitals absolutely free of charge finding them beds.
So dont fckin sit there and tell me your bullsht sob stories because I see how much time and money is given away free due to fckin rinos and entitlement minded simple fcks like you.
And its done of free will, not threat of penalty.
Learn the difference you incredibly ignorant selfish piece o sht

I see the typical liberal dribble on this thread which is to be expected by the great thinkers.
Back on the topic, they’ve killed a lot of jobs with this boondoggle. But liberals don’t care about jobs as long as the naughty rascals get their free rubbers.

It is fun watching you wingnuts twist in the wind. All your “tax” bullcrap and phony arithmetic will never cancel the fact that, the Supreme Court declared the ACA constitutional.
Too bad for you. Twist some more. It’s fun to watch.
July 1st, 2012 at 10:42 pm
GOK’
TWIST ?
For 4 years your buddy told everyone hundreds of times that Obamacare would not raise our taxes one dime. And that he would not raise taxes on incomes under 250,000.00
Theres your fcking twisted math ya freeking dummass
You’re like the idiot b1tch who thought breaking her linguine in half would yield her twice the weight

True story
July 2nd, 2012 at 3:29 am
It is fun watching you wingnuts twist in the wind.
exactly. They seriously are talking as if the bill isn’t the law. They’re talking like the bill is somehow unconstitutional.
It hasn’t sunk in. They’re still talking about the pre-”Obamacare” world as if it still exists. It doesn’t. The bill is law. And anyone thinking that a full repeal is in the cards is smoking crack. It won’t happen in a million years.
Your worst fears are now real. This IS the law of the land, and you’re just going to have to accept that 30 million more people will have insurance and that all americans will have to sign up.
Or volunteer to pay a freeloader tax instead and live with the shame of burdening society when you get sick. That’s your call if you want to be a 2nd class citizen. But I think any uninsured douche who looks to the rest of us to pay your medical bills should not only have to pay the freeloader tax (which I think is what I’m going to call it from now on), but as far as I’m concerned should be left in the side of the road where the bus hit them to rot and think about personal responsibility.
Society never needed you anyway.
July 2nd, 2012 at 4:47 am
1st, I have to laugh at GOK (Ghost Of Klo). Just because the Supreme Court says that ACA is Constitutional does not mean that it is a good law. In fact, Roberts’ opinion makes that very point. I suppose GOK would be saying the same thing 160 years or so ago when the Dred Scott decision said slavery was Constitutional.
July 2nd, 2012 at 4:51 am
Hello ME
I am 27 years old. I have a low paying job. Can barely make ends meet. Why are you calling me a FREELOADER?
Society doesn’t need me?
I work in a nursing home.
ps: I voted for Obama
July 2nd, 2012 at 4:53 am
Next, to ‘Me’, I’ll say this. If the situation with our nation’s medical system is so dire, then Obama has an option under existing emergency powers laws to mobilize a national medical corps. There is even your ‘hook’ to provide federal student grants to doctors, nurses, etc. Serve 4 years active duty or 10 years ‘reserve’ duty and get a free education.
Technically speaking, we’ve been under a ‘State of Emergency’ since April, 1933 thanks to FDR.
July 2nd, 2012 at 6:26 am
“Me” agreeing with someone even dumber than itself.
Fcking classic.
==============================================
Me;
“They seriously are talking as if the bill isn’t the law.”
Call it what you want. Only 14 provisions have been applied with full implementation supposedly arriving in 2014.
No one said it wasn’t law, were saying its not the law anyone expected after your dickhead promised you and the hundreds of millions for 4 years that “those grossing under 250.000.00 to approximately 59.000.00 would not see their taxes go up one dime”. I believe the middle class he says hes so concerned with are in fact in that bracket.
The law is that it is in fact a tax.
GOOD LUCK IN NOVEMBER.
“They’re talking like the bill is somehow unconstitutional.”
Gee, ya think ?
Congress legislates taxation. Your majority Senate will be shtting themselves come time to sell you a tax you were promised daily for years would never happen.
In the meantime, dickhead just gave all government servants a 10 to 20% raise.
Obviously an ulterior way of covering their 29% raise in taxes come 2013-14.
“and that all americans will have to sign up.”
No they dont idiot. How far up your ass did you have to reach for that sht ?
The fine(tax) for non N@zi style compliance is cheaper.
“Or volunteer to pay a freeloader tax instead and live with the shame of burdening society when you get sick.”
Most Americabs are covered in spme form yoi jerk. And they’re happy with it but irate over dickheads causing rising premiums due to the inevitable biggest clusterfck this country has ever seen since Caeter.
” That’s your call if you want to be a 2nd class citizen. But I think any uninsured douche who looks to the rest of us to pay your medical bills should not only have to pay the freeloader tax (which I think is what I’m going to call it from now on), but as far as I’m concerned should be left in the side of the road where the bus hit them to rot and think about personal responsibility.”
This bill was originally sold under the impression only 35% of Americans needed it.
Now, dickhead tries to cram it down everyones throat by claiming their taxes will be less, in essence buying votes with more promises he could never keep.
1 to 5% pay over 40 % taxation for your irresponsibility.
Including the Sapos jumping the fence in which all together 13 million of them costing us 385 billion a year, or one trillion every three years.
You calling that majority that wants repeal “freeloaders” is mind numblingly stupid and the largest display of political, social and ideological stupidity I’ve heard since you claimed liberal Jews male sense.
AS much as I despise you and your warped world, even I would not let you die in the gutter.
I would pi$$ on you, just to rinse off the asphalt stuck to your one of two faces.
And then run you to the ER where you will wait forever for one of TAs grossly overpriced colonoscopies to find out whats wrong with your mind.
Take a day off, give yourself a break.
If not, I’ll be angry and increasingly hostile because I hate liars with a passion, and will suck the marrow from your bones and burn an X on your fckjng forehead.

I am 27 years old. I have a low paying job. Can barely make ends meet. Why are you calling me a FREELOADER?
You are a freeloader if you decide NOT to get health insurance because you don’t feel like it, to “take the risk” that nothing will ever happen to you. Then, if you get sick or hit by a bus, you show up in the hospital and everyone who DOES pay for health insurance (ie, the rest of us in society) ends up paying for your emergency care and the 2 years of physical therapy it literally takes to get back on your feet.
If you took the risk but don’t accept the consequences (dying a bleeding mess in the street), not only do you have no sense of personal responsibility, but by expecting others to pay for your “loss” in the gamble you took, you’re no better than, say, a banker who risks other people’s money, then loses it all and expects a bailout so they can get their bonus.
If you DO participate in our health insurance system, as you should and are obligated to do, then of course you are being personally responsible for your own health, and you are not a freeloader at all. That was my point.
