Time to put this lemon of a caption contest to bed. It was extended one week but that was still not enough time to interest you, dear readers. Have you no regard for the law? Winners are below the fold, which includes ineligibles!
The other big news item
this week last week is that Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of Congress for withholding information subject to a lawful subpoena. The historic vote in the House of Representatives marks the first time in our nation’s history that an AG was found in contempt. The reason this case is so unique is that prior administration’s have taken care to appoint independently-minded legal minds have the respect of Congress and confidence of the American people. So much for the most transparent administration in history, but what does one expect from a Chicago-style political racket run by a sugar daddy president?
This photo is of the beleaguered Attorney General with his chief nemesis, the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Darrell Issa. Eric Holder is in contempt of Congress because the brave government watchdog will just not take no for an answer.
It’s Friday which means it is time again for the weekly photo caption contest. Caption this photo and you just might be the lucky winner to be announced on Monday.
Here are the winner’s of the last contest, with prizes appropriately sized to the level of your accomplishments. Based on the numerous high-quality entries, choosing was very very hard so try again next week!
“Holder: Can I give you my resume? I just found that I need to find a new job by November.’”
“Holder to Issa: “Catch me if you can!”
“Holder ! Did I ever show you my moron bone-crusher handshake ?”
Stay tuned for our next caption contest on Friday. Congratulations to all the winners this week, and thanks to everyone who entered. Better luck next time!
