The G20 Summit for 2012 got underway in a posh resort in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico yesterday. Russia President Vladimir Putin had a one-on-one with Barack Obama. Issues such as Syria were discussed, though the general consensus seems to be that Putin lectured the man-child Obama. There were also some meetings with other world leaders and the subject of the Euro Zone debt crisis was high on the topic list. British Prime Minister David Cameron is arguing against newly elected French President Francois Hollande′s plan to raise taxes and increase government spending. All agree that job creation should be a priority, but factions are forming on just how to go about achieving such.
One thing we can say for certain is that once again, the woeful limitations of Obama as a political leader is putting America in the backseat. The other world leaders see Obama as a naïve fool and are paying him letting regard. For example, Putin addressed the situation in Syria by raising Egypt. Putin told Obama that while he may agree that Bashar al-Assad might be expendable, he does not want to see a group like the Muslim Brotherhood take over Syria as they have in Egypt. Obama apparently has no problem with the Muslim Brotherhood, even though war clouds are forming between Egypt and our only real ally in the region, Israel. Just in the last 48 hours, Israel has begun to move tanks and other military units units closer to the border.
As for economic issues, why would any world leader pay any attention to Obama? He is totally clueless about how an economy works. His policies of the last three and a half years have been a disaster in the United States. Obama is scheduled to meet with China President Hu Jintao today. So we have another chance to see Obama being treated like a school boy who just failed basic arithmetic.
Yes, the G20 Summit 2012 in Mexico is another shining example of how poorly served we Americans are by Barack Obama. Better that he go off and play a 101st round of golf than try playing politics with seasoned professionals. Vladimir Putin made mince meat out of Obama yesterday and we can expect Hu Jintao to do so again today. What an embarrassment!

June 19th, 2012 at 8:12 am
Putin mad mincemeat of Obama and lectured him.
From where did this observation emanate from?
Do we get the same respect as we used to? Of course not. We are not the only large economy now and do not have the growth or potential growth of emerging economies, such as a juggernaut like Brazil.
Yeah it was fun when we were the big dog that everyone had to kow-tow to, but things change.
I know, when are things going to get back to normal?
Ummm… there not.
June 19th, 2012 at 8:44 am
I hope President Obama did not listen to whatever Mr. Putin told. In my opinion does Mr. Putin have no right to sit in the President chair and is in no way in a position to lecture anybody and anything – leave alone President Obama.
Coming to lecturing: President Obama was awarded the Nobel Price when he started the Presidency. Now that his term (might) come to an end: wwhat and whom did he lecture? Did I miss that lesson?
June 19th, 2012 at 9:09 am
Buzz, so quick liberals are to throw America under the buzz, with a wry smirk if not an overt happy dance. Things changed because we elected a socialist for a president who was not qualified for the job and thus did not deserve (and got no) respect from other nations. Things will get back to normal sometime after we throw this idiot out of office in November. So quit celebrating.
Karin, don’t worry. Everything with this president is stylistic for show so he was just there to take a few pictures. He does what his handlers tell him to do, listens to nobody, and nobody listens to him.
June 19th, 2012 at 9:25 am
We are no longer number one due to demographics and the long term result of the Marshal Plan and other private initiatives to industrialize emerging economies.
We industialized the entire world, but either never anticipated or cared at the time (understandalbe) that these countries would someday be competitors.
Part hubris and arrogance? Sure, just like the whole “American exceptionalism” nonsense.
Simply thinking you are better than everyone else does not make it so.
35th in math, yeah, we’re the best and brightest.
We need to strive to get back to the top, but that starts with recognizing shortcomings and making some attempt to fix them, not simply saying we are the best and waiting for things to go back to the way they used to be.
Things “never go back to the way they used to be”.
We had an enormous advantage at the start of the Industrial Revolution, an abundance of the natural resources that had the most value at the time, a better (and at the time unique) model and a young and ambitious workforce.
People copied our model and we got a little lazy, which is simply human nature.
Have an old money friends? The first generation makes a fortune, the second works in the family business and the third can barely wake up for a tee time. Just the way it is.
June 19th, 2012 at 10:06 am
Arrogance? America is nonsense? Stupid? shortcomings?
Cats out of the bag. Liberal self-loathing externalized on to people, things, and countries in their lives. Why do you guys like to tear your own country down? The first step to recovery is recognizing our own liberal president hates his country like all liberals do, and get rid of him in November. That will fix a lot.
June 19th, 2012 at 11:28 am
You are comically stupid Mr. McCain.

the man-child Obama
Hi, my name is Andrew Zarowny. I am employed as a right wing blogger. I know, I know. But yeah, it’s true– I have done nothing of note with my life, unless you count generating carbon dioxide as notable.
Today, I would like to make reference to a man who has risen from poverty to lead and teach at the most prestigious and respected law schools in the nation, who devoted his life to public service and community work, who ultimately was elected the first black leader of the free world.
That person of great achievement, against whom compared I am a mere mote of dust on the ass of history? Why, he is a “man-child”, of course! Tee hee!
And now that i have put him squarely in his place, I have a sternly-worded blog posting to get to where I really sock it to that whore Sandra Fluke. Thank you for your kind attention.

Loving your country does not mean one must lose all objectivity.
Ok, forget 35th in math (similar number for science by the way).
You said was we “invented” a lot of stuff.
The key word is “invented”.
We no longer lead the world in patents.
Japan has a significant lead in both patents applied for and granted as of 2010. This, despite the fact they have only a third of our population.
Expected right wing response, “So why don’t you move to Japan”?
June 19th, 2012 at 4:22 pm
This is the problem with the right, anti-intellectualism.
Merely because our best academic institutions are in the Northeast and have a liberal bias?
This is a reason to have a negative view of academia and brand our educated people elitist or use “intellectual” in a negative context?
There was a time when our intellectuals were held in reverence.
This might explain our current worldwide ranking in core subjects.

I really wish you guys would abandon this incredible retardation.
I guess Sarah Palin or Condi Rice,Colin Powell etc and a good portion of the Bush administration would fit into your statement if it weren’t so fckin retarded.
In addition, Bush many many times defined the difference between radical Muslims and how they distort the Koran to their agenda as opposed to moderate peaceful Muslims.
But, since your president cant even call a terrorist a terrorist, exchanging common logic between us would be impossible because of your constantly crying wolf like fckin children

“We no longer lead the world in patents.”
We no longer have public be-headings either, so whats you’re point ?
Patents are not inventions. They’re often claims of other countries making our inventions more cost effective to the public
Other than Germany, Australia and Canada theres really no other country moving forward in commerce than the three I mentioned
We’ve rescued more countries and people than any country on earth and we still hold the highest GDP of any nation.

Mr. Putin is in the right here. No one should have to sit next to Mr. Obama let alone listen to his drivel. I hope more world leaders have contempt for Obama and don’t hesitate to show it.
I appreciate some of the comments to this thread. #11 is extremely signifcant. It embodies the flawed thinking that pervades America. Mr. Obama did not accomplish anything by his own efforts. White guilt got Obama where he is today. If not for affirmative action Obama would be just another colored. He’d be sitting in an apartment breezeway or on a tenement stoop blazing a blunt. That’s it.
June 19th, 2012 at 7:53 pm
Putin is wrong no matter who is sitting next to him.
He sponsors anti American state terrorism in so many regions miltarily and financially its disgusting.
But I do agree, Obama is just a liberal statement on behalf guilty white libs who wanted nothing else but to prove a black man could be elected.
This fatal attraction will cost lives and misery for future generations just because someone wants to show the world how tolerant we are.
June 19th, 2012 at 11:32 pm

McCain, I kindly invite you to blow yourself. Your assumptions about me are laughably incorrect. Then again, your understanding of nearly everything is so far off I shouldn’t be surprised.
June 20th, 2012 at 4:25 am
@ ‘Me’:
Obama “rose from poverty”??? When did that happen? I suppose like most people, ‘Me’, you never read the first of his two ‘autobiographies’ that Bill Ayers wrote for Obama.
His mom’s second husband, LoLo Soetoro, who adopted Barry, making him an Indonesian (he was already Muslim due to his natural father) was a big deal oil guy. When Barry and his mom lived in Indonesia, they lived in a large house in the ritzy side of the street complete with servants.
Upon returning to Hawaii, Barry lived with his grandparents. Grandma was the VP for a local bank. Grampa used to own a furniture biz. Barry was sent to the fanciest prep school in Hawaii.
Barry Obama has lived a charmed life of power and privilege. In Chicago, his money-bags pal, Tony Rezko, was the guy who arranged for Obama to attend Harvard Law School. I’m just guessing here, but I’d bet a dollar to the hole in your donut, ‘Me’, that Obama’s education was bought and paid for by Nadhmi Auchi, the Iraqi billionaire who used to be Saddam’s money-launderer. The connections between Auchi and Rezko are well documented.
June 20th, 2012 at 4:37 am
Buzz, not to nit-pick but the U.S. is 25th in math and 17th in science. Not very good either, but on the other hand, one must remember that places like India and China have thousands of years of cultural traditions in subjects like mathematics.
The real fault is, of course, our pathetic public school system. We can sum up its failings in a few words: ‘Teachers Unions’ and ‘Government control’ to name a couple. Just keep ignoring the truth that home schooling is proving to be far superior. Especially as we continue to advance in technology that can eliminate the need for schools and classrooms.
June 20th, 2012 at 5:12 am
“Colored”?
June 20th, 2012 at 5:22 am
The most predictable comments ever. I could have written them on a piece of paper folded it up and handed it someone right after my comments appeared.
The inevitable, why do you hate your country comments.
It is important to love your country enough to be objective and strive to improve its shortcomings.
This anti-intellectualism has resulted in Joe the Plumber being considered for a place in government.
What were his latest views? That gun control caused the Holocaust. Yeah, that is who should be running things. Yikes.
“The best schools are in the West”.
There are fine schools in the West, but no one would seriously say that it is the location of America’s finest and most respected schools.
People come from all over the world to attend M.I.T., Harvard, Yale, etc.
Do they come here to go to schools in the West such as Stanford? Sure, but it is not close in regard to the number of institutions that are ranked amongst the finest in the world.
June 20th, 2012 at 6:02 am
“This anti-intellectualism has resulted in Joe the Plumber being considered for a place in government.”
Okay, Buzzbee, this is what I would call Elitism at its finest (or worst, depending how sarcastic one is). So are we to limit participation in elected office to just those who come out of the Establishment mills like Harvard, Yale and Princeton? Where is your precious ‘democracy’ now?
June 20th, 2012 at 7:01 am
I said nothing of the kind, but considering someone that thinks that gun control caused the Holocaust?
Watch the YouTube video of this dunce where he says the gun control laws of 1939 (it was, in reality 1938) were what allowed for the killing of 6 million Jews (at least he hasn’t disputed that yet).
Elitist? Yeah, that is setting the bar “really high”.
Hey, anyone can run, but the fact that he ever got serious consideration is mind-boggling.
Don’t most CEOs have some modicum of intelligence and/or education?
Isn’t government service an executive position?
If you were hiring people to run your company, whom would you hire? The guy who shares all of your views, but is not that bright or the well-educated individual who you aren’t necessarily that fond of?
The first person is who you may choose as a friend, the latter is who you put in charge.
June 20th, 2012 at 10:19 am
Isn’t government service an executive position?

How nice, you gave us two choices.
What about hiring someone intelligent who does share your views ? You’d be surprised how many times this happens. Sounds like you should put a newspaper of your own ON the market and hire only conservative journalist !
Must we dumb down everything for your sake ?
Sheesh
The first person is who you may choose as a friend, the latter is who you put in charge.
June 20th, 2012 at 10:21 am
oops, last two sentences snuck into the copy
June 20th, 2012 at 11:13 am
Me, the assumption that you are under 25 or the assumption(!) that you are liberal is wrong? Or the assumption that you are one of the few remaining liberals over 25?
Buzz, liberals apply the term “intellectual” to the idiot Obama, so you don’t really have standing to assess people. Liberals like you often confuse “articulate” with intelligent or intellectual. In truth Obama is articulate (usually), is clearly not intelligent, and is arguably not intellectual, which by anyone’s definition would include some kind of curiosity about the world. In fact, his speeches are given at the lowest grade level (6th grade) than any president in history. Liberals like you turn intellectualism into a dirty word when you attach it to idiots like Obama.
Stereotypes are actually useful for liberals. I don’t know if you are over 25. If so, then Churchill was right when he says that you are an idiot, something he said to be humorous but the stereotype is accurate, because as a person ages the liberal’s utopian view of human behavior should be altered by experience. But liberals are unable to progress to the point where they can reconcile the ideal with the real. And yes, liberals “hate” their country, meaning they look for faults while brushing over strengths, as exemplified by your comments on this thread. They think this way because they understand America to not be ideally perfect, which is enough to hate it because of their inability to reconcile ideal versus real. If something is not perfect, the idealist hates it.
June 20th, 2012 at 12:21 pm
Please point out one item or word that indicates anything remotely close to hate for my country (or even dislike for that matter).
It appears that if someone does share your views, they are idiots that hate their country.
Let’s see, that means moderate Republicans, Independents, Democrats of any ilk and anyone that holds a liberal opinion on any subject are idiots that hate their country.
Hmm… that is a pretty small and select group of people you count as anything close to patriotic.
Under 25? I don’t even remember 25.
58 years old and own a business where we grossly overcharge for medical products and services.
Why can we do that? Because we have an industry lobby that supports Republican Governors and legislators because they continuously allow us to gouge the medical system.
Don’t get me wrong, both sides are for sale (obviously, more than ever now), it just so happens in our industry (mostly pharmaceutical) the Republicans will allow us to get away with murder.
June 20th, 2012 at 12:37 pm
Despite the fact that it is obvious that many of you truly do hate liberals and probably think something should be done about them, I still find many of you to be highly entertaining.
I shake my head at how riled up everyone seems to get, but it is still funny stuff.
Just like television, liberal political commentary is fueled by condescending snark that is best presented in a comedic context, while right-wing radio and television runs on anger.
Hey, even I watch Fox’s Version of the News, simply because it is never boring. EVERYTHING potentially qualifies as a catalyst for outrage.
Recent studies indicate that given the choice between straight news or news commentary, people invariably choose news commentary.
They don’t want to read the newspaper (hey, I’m old, I still read newspapers), they want someone else to read the paper and tell them what it means.
When people ask me if I could have a television show, what would I present? I answer, “Extreme right wing rhetoric”.
Why? My answer is the same as the one offered by noted bank robber Willie Sutton when asked why he robs banks.
“Because that is where the money is”.
June 20th, 2012 at 1:01 pm
I’m just guessing here, but I’d bet a dollar to the hole in your donut, ‘Me’, that Obama’s education was bought and paid for by Nadhmi Auchi, the Iraqi billionaire who used to be Saddam’s money-launderer.
The depths of your insanity know no bottom.
Buzz, not to nit-pick but the U.S. is 25th in math and 17th in science. Not very good either, but on the other hand, one must remember that places like India and China have thousands of years of cultural traditions in subjects like mathematics.
If you wanna say the Asians are genetically better at math, this is rightpundits, you don’t have to couch it in terms of “cultural traditions”. We know what you’re saying.
If you actually do mean they have a cultural edge, then all you’re doing is agreeing that America is culturally deficient.
Which brings me to the wider point of “American exceptionalism” (in the usual right-wing sense that America is better than everyone else). While America has indeed been exceptional in his history, the right wing has a “born on 2nd base and think they hit a double” mentality. Just because the US has been exceptional in its past, due to blood, sacrifice, resources, ingenuity, and character, does NOT mean that YOU are awesome. You can’t ride other people’s successes and claim them as your own. Previous Americans have done much good in the world- the right wing takes that to mean that THEY are INHERENTLY good and deserving of praise and respect earned by their forebearers. They think that the past will resemble the future without any of the hard work or sacrifice made by the generations previous.
America is exceptional only to the point that it works and struggles to be exceptional. It’s not a birthright that you can just claim with a flag pin and singing Lee Greenwood songs.
Me, the assumption that you are under 25 or the assumption(!) that you are liberal is wrong? Or the assumption that you are one of the few remaining liberals over 25?
The assumption that I’m not “working for a living” is wrong. Very, very wrong.
Also, only 22% of Democrats are under 29. Obviously, fewer are under 25, although you may have to think about the math for a few minutes to understand why.
But yeah, Republicans are older and dying out. And clinging to their government-issued health care.
So are we to limit participation in elected office to just those who come out of the Establishment mills like Harvard, Yale and Princeton? Where is your precious ‘democracy’ now?
Sorry, isn’t your candidate a double-graduate of Harvard?
In any event, I think buzzbee is objecting to Joe the Plumber (real name: not Joe, real job: not plumber) being a towering idiot, which is not quite the same as not attending an Ivy League school.
June 20th, 2012 at 1:30 pm
Holy crap… Joe the Plumber REALLY *IS* running for congress!
His latest ad suggests that german’s “gun control” in 1939 was responsible for the Holocaust.
Then he shoots a bunch of apples off posts (only one shot is all in the frame– the rest are SHOT A: he aims SHOT B: close up on apple getting blown away… Somehow I’m guessing he’s a crappy marksman), mutters “I love America”, and then slams to the end title card.
Holy crap. Are you Republicans thoroughly humiliated, embarrassed and horrified? I know some of you are.
June 20th, 2012 at 1:31 pm

Go fck yourself already.
Weve practically saved everyones ass on this planet at one time or another.
More people immigrate to the US than any other country because we are awesome.
America deals with the most illegal residents because they think were awesome.
Asians are now the largest group migrating to America as opposed to all other legal or illegal entries.
You’re stupid

Yeah, its not a stretch for retard to figure Jews bearing arms would of givin them a fighting chance.
But then, what the do you know about Jews ?
Obviously nothing as I’ve already provedAre you Republicans thoroughly humiliated, embarrassed and horrified? I know some of you are.

Exhibit A, everyone. micky, an ignorant, angry loser who sits on his ass in Hawaii and has a 2nd grade comprehension level, thinks he shares credit in the accomplishments of others.

Buzz?
Meet Elizabeth. She is 21 years old. She has SLE (Lupus). Her father is a VietNam Veteran.Elizabeth has no medical insurance. The medications needed to “tame” her symptoms cost her family over $50K a year. The Government will not give her any of her father’s benefits.
According to them she is “not disabled enough”.
So the next time you have a cocktail—Toast Elizabeth. Her family paid for it.
You Sir are pathetic.
June 20th, 2012 at 3:48 pm
Faye, are you actually complaining about the government not providing enough medical care to people without insurance?
Well, today someone on reddit did a nice breakdown in English of what “Obamacare” actually does.
It was a good read.
June 20th, 2012 at 4:11 pm
No insurance?
Half the people I know are now without insurance.
Of course, the odd part is many of them, being Fox devotees, rail against anything resembling a public option.
We do, however, have socialized medicine. It is the emergency room at every hospital.
So instead of having a national plan that would support a $50 office visit, you now have a room full of people seeing an emergency room physician for a case of the sniffles for a cost of $500 (which will never be paid).
June 20th, 2012 at 4:16 pm
I am a Capitalist and run a business.
Medicine is the same as any other business, you charge what the market will bear.

Absolutely not. A business such as mine should not exist.
Change the laws, I will overcharge for products in another industry.

The true capitalist will buy these medications and donate.
You expect people, the elite scholars still paying their student loans, to work years of research for free ?”
Where on Earth did I ask anyone to work for free?
And what would lead you to believe I am “insane”?
Heck, I am boring in my pragmatism.
I buy products and mark them up and I am but one of many. By the time the government gets the bill there have been a lot of hands in the till.
A lack of a cohesive national health care system is putting our country at a competitive disadvantage.
The auto industry should be ‘for profit”, electronics, “for profit”, entertainment, “for profit”, but health care, probably not. You are well aware we are the only leading industrial nation that does not have a national health care plan.
That is not something to be proud of.

“Where on Earth did I ask anyone to work for free?
right here baby
“Should medicine be a “for profit” industry?
Absolutely not.”
Theres a whole line of protocols to apply before a drug can be on the market that you are obviously ignorant of.
There has to additional charges applied once just about anything or drug hits the market.
Charges which are paid for with profit.
I swear, the leftys here are getting more unrealistic than even I could imagine.
But, then again, the private sectors doin just fine, aint it ?
sheesh
June 20th, 2012 at 7:50 pm
“That is not something to be proud of.”
Then why do the creme de la creme of every country come here for state of the art medicine ?
Simply put.
Imagine the ramifications of government run mandatory health care during a depression anymore serious than this one.
Regulations galore and frivolous law suits are at the root of ridiculous fees.
The system you want would as bad as the way the CRA took its toll on our economy.
Government threatening the private sector to operate below cost or face more regulation
so fckn simple its not funny

I have been in the pharmaceutical and medical industry for over 30 years, so yes, I understand all phases of clinical approval and have been involved in study design and regulatory approval for many of the drugs that most people take on a daily basis.
I am well aware of the financial components of any medication brought to market.
I knew the old, tired, line about the greatest health care being available here.
Well, it is here, but it is only available to those that can afford it.
I live ten minutes from Canada and the horror stories are just that, stories.
Yes, if you have cartilage damage in your knee you might have to wait a few months before it is taken care of, but if you have no insurance in the United States, you have not recourse.
You can’t pass of cartilage damage as an emergency so people without insurance merely learn to live with it and suffer in pain.
Who are these people? Many are people I know that used to have good jobs and health coverage, but have now lost both and are in their late fifties and early sixties.
That gray area between Medicare and Medicaid.
The leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.?
Medical bills. One accident or illness can wipe someone out, even people that have insurance.
Face it, our system benefits insurance companies, jerks like me and the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industry.
It is, literally killing us and I am amazed at the empty arguments in support of our current system.
It is not just a little bit broke.
Obamacare won’t work as it included the insurance companies and the Medicare Part D program was nothing but a payoff to big pharma.

Oh gawd Buzz really is over 25. A few never smarten up, so we must feel sorry for you instead of laughing at you.
But you do realize, I hope, that Frederick Engels was a wealthy industrialist? All this crying about “I have a business therefore I am not a socialist” is a non-sequitur.
By the way, Frederick Engels (the Marxist) would say that he loved his homeland enough that he wanted to improve it. But you realize I hope that he hated it the way it was, just like you socialists.
June 21st, 2012 at 4:13 am
Ok, you are right; I am a socialist who hates his country.
Why?
Because you won the argument by continually saying, “Because I said so”.
But since your criteria seems to eliminate everyone except, umm.. you, I will continue my tyranny undeterred.
June 21st, 2012 at 10:09 am
” am well aware of the financial components of any medication brought to market.”
Then you should know that it has to recover cost somehow.
I guess we should have free food the rest of our lives also. Wait
Yeah, we’ve done that, and now the country is broke borrowing 40 cents on each buck to feed you friends. I’m sure you’re aware that balanced nutrition is the best preventative medicine ?
In Hawaii, physicians are leaving in droves due to what are already skyrocketing leases and insurance laced with the fear carrying the burden of your stupid fckin Obamacare
“I knew the old, tired, line about the greatest health care being available here.”
“knew”? as in past tense ?
“Well, it is here, but it is only available to those that can afford it.”
1/2 true. Many get what care the need already thanks to the tax payer.
If you cry babies would stop suing every doctor/pharmaceutical industry for every goddam thing under the sun they wouldn’t have to charge every one up the ass.
I’m middle income with perks, had cancer 2 years ago, my premiums ran about 200 a month. I got everything I needed.I lived
Also…
When this whole bs fiasco started it was intended to supplement only 35% of those in America needing coverage.
Now dickhead wants us, the entire country, to buy his sht whether we like it or not.
Border control would also be another substantial form of relief seeing as how illegals cost us all a trillion dollars every three years for everything from healthcare to foodstamps.
Sorry, but the bleeding heart liberal will not convince me that pharma can become cost effective with all the truths I mentioned above
You’re all fulla sht

It is impossible to discuss something when suggesting public health care is suddenly construed as giving drugs away for free.
Never said that.
Not all pharma companies are based in the U.S., but they do appreciate that our system funds their research and development and that they can charge 3 and 4 times as much for their medication in the U.S. than anywhere else.
Only half get the “great” healthcare available.
Well, how nice for that half.
Of course we do have inefficient public healthcare. The emergency room, but since that goes against the “story” it is often ignored.
I suppose that is why I find discussing things with people on the right so frustrating.
They don’t have opinions, they have beliefs, and that is a far different thing.
Well, that and the fact that they appear to be angry that liberals (or stupid, anti-American, lying, naive, elitist wimps as they are known on this site) simply don’t get it.
When someone has beliefs they tend to force the facts into an order that is consistent with their beliefs, rather than a mere opinion that is informed by facts.
With that I will “give it a rest”.
As someone that has spent my entire life in the medical industry, I have very specific opinions about the business.
I even offer solutions that would, in effect, put me out of business, but know what is best for the competitive balance of our country.
We have a healthcare problem in this country, but any discussion of changing the system has people screaming socialism.
As insurance becomes cost prohibitive for every person and company (who should, in reality have no part in the cost, they didn’t adopt their employees and it makes companies less inclined to have American operations) the discussion will change.
If anyone did what insurance companies do on a daily basis, that is, charging 20% for doing nothing but creating obstacles to care, they would be arrested and charged under the RICO act.
June 21st, 2012 at 5:58 pm
buzz, what do these socialists know anyway?
Only that they hate America and want to bring it down.
Republicans such as McCain are socialists.
It makes as much sense as anything they’ve been saying for the last three years.
June 21st, 2012 at 7:09 pm
Gee, thats nice, but you never answered one of my nquestions
June 21st, 2012 at 7:16 pm
“We have a healthcare problem in this country, but any discussion of changing the system has people screaming socialism.”
Lets get one thing straight.
The government cannot intimidate citizens to pay for services they decline. Liability is the only coverage someone should be held to by government.
If I kill someone with my car its incumbent upon me to pay whatever suffices.
But you cannot and will not take my property against my rights.
Fckin period end of story
June 21st, 2012 at 7:22 pm
Me, I’m a Libertarian rather than Republican so you continue to display your God-given ignorance. And yes, you are a socialist but why run from it? You peeps are acting like it’s a dirty word. And yes, like all liberals you focus on the things you hate about America more than anything you like which is an anti-American mindset. Let’s just agree that you “hate” the country more than you like it.
June 22nd, 2012 at 4:33 am
‘Me’ hates himself, which is why he hates America. Socialism is built on hatred.
June 22nd, 2012 at 8:56 am
Yes, it is an outward manifestation of the inner turmoil that haunts the liberal mind. No different than a guy who had a bad day kicking their dog, except that they do it every day. Can you imagine living under their skin?
June 24th, 2012 at 11:02 am
Just to be clear. In the opinion of many of you if you are not far right than you are a socialist? Is that the premise?
Wow, that would be news to Dole, Reagan and, well, Romney.
You do know that Reagan would never have survived the “Who is the most Consrvative” circus that was the Republican primary these past couple of years?
June 25th, 2012 at 4:34 am
In my book, Romney is certainly a Socialist. Dole is a just a pineapple. Reagan, however, is a true Conservative despite efforts by Jeb Bush and others to bleach his record. Reagan actually read Hayek and could talk the talk. Did he goof at times? Sure. But pound for pound, Ronald Reagan has been the most ideologically purest Conservative president we’ve had since Calvin Coolidge.
June 25th, 2012 at 9:14 am
Romney is a socialist.
Well, now I know the parameters.
June 26th, 2012 at 4:10 am
Hellooo? Romney-Care? Allowing the State to force people to buy a good or service.
The bottom line is that Romney is no different than your typical Progressive. At Bain Capital, they sought out tax breaks, loans and other deals from state and local government. I’ve written before about Mitt’s dad and his Progressive leanings. The apple does not fall far from the tree.
