Glenn Beck – America will survive past 2016
Our old pal Glenn Beck was on ′Stossel′ last night on the Fox Business Network. John Stossel had Beck, along with John Bolton, Pat Buchanan and other guests discussing whether or not America is in decline and growing weaker? Glenn Beck thinks that America will not survive past 2016 as a republic. That we are on the ′Road to Serfdom′ and there is very little that can be done to alter that course. Pitch-fork Pat was probably even gloomier, citing how demographics have trapped Western Civilization in a death spiral. While they fear for riots and chaos here in the United States, the general consensus is that the bottom will fall out of Europe, first, starting with Greece. Just watch the video below of a Greek talk show where a Neo-Nazi slaps around a Communist woman.
John Stossel did not give the ′doom-n-gloomers′ a free ride. He, along with Libertarian guest Nick Gillespie, argue that things could not be better. Sure, we face difficult economic times, particularly with our ever growing National Debt and endless government regulations stifling free enterprise. But the world is doing just fine with life expectancy increasing and poverty, real poverty, in decline.
Technology and innovation have been keeping civilization′s head above water for many years now. Breakthroughs in medicine, new methods of extracting oil and natural gas, and ever faster and more capable computer chips all add up to a world with nearly unlimited future potentials. But do we have the moral and intellectual foundation to hold civilization together long enough to get past the ′headwinds′ we currently face?
If he is right, then Glenn Beck saying America will not survive past 2016 as a republic puts a very large fly in our buttermilk. Beck sees little coming out of Washington to reform our government enough in time to prevent calamity. John Bolton and Pat Buchanan, who were also guests on last night′s edition of ′Stossel′ on the Fox Business Network, were also not optimistic given our current state of politics. John Stossel will be aired on the regular Fox News Channel Saturday night if you wish to watch the exchanges yourself. Meanwhile, enjoy the video below of the Greek talk show where a Neo-Nazi slaps around a Communist woman.

You guys are going to start needing to shop at Costco for your foil.

Glenn Beck and Pat Buchanan in the same room together would require a lot of beer to get through the depression. Luckily none of these guys are particularly relevant anymore.

Mr. Beck and Mr. Buchanan are honest men. Their negative assessment of the future of America is accurate. I would argue with Mr. Beck because I don’t accept his deadline and I think that his prediction is not inevitable. However, I don’t doubt his or Mr. Buchanan’s sincerity or integrity.

Environmental collapse is the biggest threat to civilization today. Next is nuclear war, still a big threat since thousands of nuclear missiles still exist (the US and Russia). Next biggest threat is right wing extremists, who almost brought the world economy down, and now want the reins of government back so they can try again.

Mercury One (Beck’s company) filled 11 semi-tractor trailers with food to go to 11 cities that now under FEDERAL LAW can no longer feed the homeless.
I call that relevant.
Democrats feed the homeless with foodstamps.
BelaPeelooski says welfare/foodstamps create jobs.
I call that insidious.

Biggest threat to civilization today is the public education system, as nicely demonstrated by K-L-O.

2016, huh?
Well, I can change my strategies now.
Short term plans for my life and business. I can now make changes that push my tax debt to after 2016 when there won’t be anybody to pay it to.
Of course I am probably in jeopardy since I don’t have a loaded weapon at the ready and will be in danger when the national riots start.
Well, I am sure that most of the people on this site will be fine since I hear “sky is falling” comments every few weeks and I am convinced that the majority of you have stores of food and ammo in stock.
I gotta hand it to Beck. While he is no longer relevant, he still knows that outrageous statements can put you back in the limelight.
He truly scares me as he is merely “playing the game”, but his followers think he is some kind of prophet.
I do, however, miss Pat Buchanan on Morning Joe. Even if I disagreed with his stance I always thought he made compelling arguments and found him to be an engaging personality.
Everything Beck isn’t.

Maybe becausse Buchanan has a Master’s in Journalism, while Beck flunked the only college course he ever took (in theology no less).
He worked as a Senior Advisor to Nixon, Ford and Reagan, ran for President, co-founded the American Conservative, has been published in everything from the National Review to Rolling Stone as was co-host of Crossfire.
In other words, he earned the credibility to be heard and considered.
Beck on the other hand, ummm, well…
Oh, that’s right, he used to be a pretend professor on his Fox show.

I thought that was going to be Gerbil Warmings fault ?
well, Gerbil Warming says we’ll all drown in twenty years. This would take millennia, something Al Gore forgot to mention while being inconveniently truthful.
Glenns been right most of the time. I dont expect you to agree or believe me because I have this funny feeling you watched him once or twice and from there got the rest of what confirmed your opinion from ABC,CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and Rachel Maddow.
He has all the pieces and fit them together like jigsaw pzzle.
Any mistakes and he was quick to apologize or correct himself

Beck’s radio program just signed for another five years…His show is #3…behind Limbaugh and Hannity.
Simply compelling.

Beck earns what? $40 million to $50 million per year? I like Pat Buchanan but I doubt if he’s earned $40 million his whole life.
People can criticize Beck all they want, but the simple truth is, Glenn is VERY successful at what he does.
