We have already seen the beginnings of this strategy by the Media to attack Mitt Romney for his being a Mormon when Lawrence O′Donnell launched an anti-Mormon campaign on MSNBC. Now the New York Times and the Washington Post have entered the fray this weekend. Despite Barack Obama campaign manager, David Axelrod saying such attacks are inappropriate, the Liberal-biased, pro-Obama Media is determined to smear Romney anyway that they can.
On Saturday, the NY Times published a story by Jodi Kantor who looks into Mitt Romney and how his Mormon faith may influence him as a president. Appearing on where else but MSNBC (coincidence?), Kantor said ″What we were really looking at is the biographical influence of faith on Mitt Romney′s life.″ That sounds nice. While Kantor does not think that Romney would impose Mormon doctrine upon the nation as president, she does seem to be concerned that he prays a lot. Jodi Kantor is also apparently afraid of the Mormon belief that God has a plan for the United States.
But Sunday takes the cake as the Washington Post published a hit piece by Sandhya Somashekhar (say that name five times really fast!) who attempts to tie Mitt Romney to an incident in 1857 known as the Mountain Meadow Massacre. The reporter refers to the event as the ″first 9/11″ in U.S. history, where a wagon train from Arkansas was allegedly attacked by a Mormon militia unit in Utah. The Fancher-Baker party was massacred on its way to California, either by native American Indians hired by a group of Mormons, or a group of rebel Mormons disguised as Indians. Somashekhar even tries to connect this into a blood feud between Romney and Obama as one of the victims, Nathaniel Bunch, may be an ancestor of Obama′s.
So it has begun that the Media will use the Mormon Church against Mitt Romney in an attempt to help reelect Barack Obama. The New York Times and Washington Post have joined in with MSNBC along this line of attack. We can expect much more of this in the months ahead.

Umm, yeah, so it’s not Democrats who will give a crap about Romney’s Mormonism– (except insofar that his tax-exempt 10% in “charitable donations” can actually go to political activity such as supports anti-gay Prop 8 propaganda in California)….
The anti-Mormon bias exists on the part of fundamentalist christian right Republicans. And your worry is that your own side will be so bigoted that they won’t turn out in November. Boo-frickin’ hoo. Blame the media or blame yourselves? Hmm…
Incidentally, the massacre in Mountain Meadow should be more widely known, IMO. The history of the Church of LDS is fascinating.

You no joking aside need to get laid.

Are you KIDDING? How much crap have we seen from the Right about Obama? He’s a Muslim. He wants to impose “Sharia Law” on the USA. He was raised in a Madrassa. Etc., etc., etc., and all of it blatant LIES! And now you are going to turn around and accuse liberals of attacking Romney’s Mormonism?
Well, one thing we got going for us, at least, is that Romney really IS a Mormon, so that beats the socks out of all your smears from the get go.
May 21st, 2012 at 3:46 pm
” (except insofar that his tax-exempt 10% in “charitable donations” can actually go to political activity such as supports anti-gay Prop 8 propaganda in California ”
Oh, so everytime Obama dropped a buck in Rev Wrights tray he was advocating “God Damn America”?
Will he give back Bill Meyers million ?
And what about all the Liberal Catholics giving money to their church that condemns gay marriage, abortion and forced payment/offering of birth control ?
How you wanna frame that ?
You say it “can actually” ?
Did it ?
“And your worry is that your own side will be so bigoted that they won’t turn out in November. Boo-frickin’ hoo. Blame the media or blame yourselves? ”
Like you morons turned out just because the guy was black, a vote that made a statement to the world and towards your tolerance and open mindedness ?
(who cared if he knew his ass from a hole in the ground ?)
Talk about racism ? You guys take the cake
Trust me, we,ll turn out.
I know Satanists that have said “anyone but Barry”.
You really make some funky statements that ooze with irrelevance, and hypocrisy

First time it was genuinely cute, Faye. Repeating it again… not so funny. Kinda like a talk show host telling the same joke that got big laughs in the monologue the previous night.
Ah, well. Apparently your inspired humor was accidental, like when a child pronounces a word all adorable but doesn’t understand why everyone is smiling.
May 21st, 2012 at 5:02 pm
“First time it was genuinely cute,”
First time you got laid was cute ?
Faye’s right. The most insignificant subjects are brought up by you because liberal snobbery dictates that you at least appear to care.
Among my conservative friends be it here or on the blogs haven’t really raised any question of his faith.
Its pedantic, boring to read, but read only as a reminder to myself that the left wants perfect order in the world. Language would become so sterilized by the left that we wont even be able to speak or if we did would sound like another language.”Control the language and you will control the people.
“Kinda like a talk show host telling the same joke that got big laughs in the monologue the previous night.”
You’re a pretty predictable piece of work yourself
Fayes being gentle, I think you need to be fcked out of your brains

The War on Religion, The War on Christmas, Culture Wars, the Mainstream Media, the Post, the NY Times and MSNBC.
I always hear how Fox’s Version of the News is number one in ratings by a landslide and we all know that AM talk radio is ruled by Rush, Hannity, Beck and Levine (I will never get that one, “the Great One”, please).
So why is the right always playing the victim card?
Picked on, not listened to, ignored. Really?
The right is not the silent majority, but rather the loud minority.
Wow, if Obama wins again I fully expect many of your heads to explode.

Because, by and large, they are pussies with persecution complexes. Just read the articles on this site..

“The anti-Mormon bias exists on the part of fundamentalist christian right Republicans.”
As a Mormon, I have experienced such a bias. Sad but true. I actually don’t think what the left is doing is actually a bias against Mormons per se.
For example, I doubt people like Kantor would be expressing concern about how often the Mormon candidate prays if that Mormon candidate were Harry Reid. In other words, the left’s “attacks” against Mormonism isn’t about Mormonism. No, the person threatening to unseat the Chosen One just turns out to be a Mormon. I don’t think they actually care what Mormons believe. The know there is skepticism and ignorance out there about Mormonism, and they’re going to exploit it.

Give me a break.
Been to Chicago lately ?
“so why is the right always playing the victim card?”

Everyones a victim of something.
You guys do it for money thats not yours so far as to make your living off my taxes for the rest of your life.
“Because, by and large, they are pussies with persecution complexes. Just read the articles on this site.”
Better than being ass holes with entitlement complexes.
You say that kinda sht in one breath and you have no idea how you contradict yourself.
This blog is called “Right Pundits” for a reason ya know.

Shes a hypocrite that hides salted pork rinds in her ass while making ulterior points on behalf of Obamacare

Umm…not me, but instead, “Me”.
The generalization that the left is sitting around collecting government checks is nonsense.
Especially in this economy. The “new poor” are my friends that used to work at Ford.
It kills me, these former people of means are still railing against government handouts as they look in their mailbox for a check.
They also lost their insurance years ago, but any change in the healthcare system is socialism.
You would think their view of a safety net would change since they are lying on it.
May 22nd, 2012 at 11:00 am
“The generalization that the left is sitting around collecting government checks is nonsense”
Its not a generalization. Its a foundation.
The term is a birth of the collective left that believes in wealth redistribution/socialist policies.
Its not nonsense anymore than those who think wealthy people are morally obligated to pay more of a tax percentage than the middle and lower classes to subsidizations which are rising in cost at an uncontrollable rate.
If we took everything from every millionaire in the country,100% taxation,it wouldnt even begin to touch the 40 cents we pay on every dollar to China.
Lets see some of that “collective sacrifice” that Obama was talking about.
So far the only collective sacrifice hes imposed on the whole country is to continue paying for loans and programs we cant afford.
Everyone pays 10%……………Period
At there volume of revenues they’ll still be contributing way more than anyone else, and it will still be them that pay the majority of the governments bills.
Progressive taxation is the assumption on the part of ass-holes whos belief is as Obama said”at some point you’ve made enough money”
I got news for you.
Constitutionally thats not for anyone to decide but me.
Then your determination of “enough” draws the line that puts you on the side of communism.
Kinda like Carter and the CRA that finally blew up in our faces 3 years ago.
Bush and McCain were okay with it until a certain point where they saw the potential danger of banks threatened with additional regulation if they didnt drop qualifications to take out a mortgage.
Since Carter inflation at steady rate and paychecks that never got larger it was increasingly hard for CRA customers to pay there loans.
It took 30 years and every complacent president to make this happen. All of a sudden 20% of American homes foreclosed and the government didnt have the money they claimed to have in order to protect these loans.
Clinton took the CRA and put it on steroids making it easier for unqualified buyers to take out a mortgage.
McCain and Bush in 07 went in front of Frank and warned him of the impending doom.
Frank basically said to fck off and dont worry about it.
F&F are doin just fine.
So yea, constitutionally after all that the left has rightly earned to be generalized as entitlement freaks because Barry wants to do what Carter did all over again !!!
May 22nd, 2012 at 11:48 am
Harry Reids religion was never ever talked about on the right. Why?????? Because they do not care. It is always the left that brings up these subjects.
The only reason Rev. Wright was brought up by the right because he hates this country even though he has a wonderful standard of living in this country.
Why did your friends at Ford lose their jobs????? Did they keep up with the latest technology??? This country has a shortage of engineers and other math base professions. Math is too hard!!!! I do not want to stretch my brain!!!! We are moving to socialism because Americans told their kids to be happy. Lazy bunch. Instead of working hard, have high standards for yourself and never ever give up. We did it to our selves. Obama and the left are telling us what we want to hear so that they can get re-elected and steal from those who do take risks, work hard and are successful. Getting mad at Romney or the right is not going to change your lazy minds attitude about on how improve your life or the country’s future propects.
May 22nd, 2012 at 8:58 pm
They lost their jobs at Ford in some cases because they were simply factory workers caught in general lay-offs.
Others were engineers at supply companies that were layed off due to some of the engineering work being outsourced to India.
Many of these people are in their fifties and are, in effect, unemployable. Some even oppossed the auto bailouts. Ummm.. many of you work at GM or suppliers of GM and Chrysler, it may be time to stop being idealistic and start being pragmatic.
It is true that our college students are consistently enrolling in communications or speech as preparation for a career as a news anchor. Not a great plan as there only four such positions in each major city.
May 22nd, 2012 at 9:06 pm
A 10% flat tax? Sure. Or even a 10 % sales tax, which may temporarily stall big ticket items, but that would be temporary.
There could even be a graduated tax that is less for items that are necessities other than food.
Heck we even do it now to a certain extent with all of the “sin” taxes on liquor and cigarettes.
May 22nd, 2012 at 9:09 pm
Buzz, tell your friends to quit bitching and go get a new job. Nobody is unemployable if they truly want to work. Clinton’s welfare reform bill proved that taking the freeloaders off the welfare payrolls gets their asses off the couch.
May 22nd, 2012 at 9:19 pm
What are these jobs they are prepared for? These people made their living putting bolts into cars 500 times a day. Not a lot of call for that skills these days and the auto companies are hiring new people at $12 and hour to start and $14 an hour within the first year.
May 23rd, 2012 at 3:51 am
Buzz,
I suspect you do not like John Stossel, but a week or two ago on his show about education, the point was raised that thanks to Federal regulations, it is actually very difficult now for companies to retrain employees, or for 3rd party companies to offer such retraining.
May 23rd, 2012 at 5:10 am
” the auto companies are hiring new people at $12 and hour to start and $14 an hour within the first year.”
So, you go and stick bolts on cars while you look for something better and at least keep your pride, supplement your income, pay into the system, which you’ll get back later anyway.
It would also solve the majority of the immigration problem and you’ll be making some bucks while allowing some revenues for the government instead of taking welfare or unemployment
May 23rd, 2012 at 5:34 am
Those $12 an hour auto jobs are almost impossible to get here in Detroit where there are still a lot of auto factories.
May 23rd, 2012 at 8:29 am
Theres work to be found if people want it.
But todays climate is full of little snots who’d rather their hands not get dirty.
Thers plenty of work but our society and regulations make it impossible to even open a lemonade stand.
I used to pick pineapple during the summers and made enough to keep a teen pretty happy.
But, todays child labor regulations and congress would never allow any kid under 13 to threaten their little golden goose that cost us taxpayers a trillion every three years
May 23rd, 2012 at 10:03 am
Ya see, Micky, kids today would rather earn virtual money while they play virtual farming games on Facebook.
May 23rd, 2012 at 3:48 pm
@ Andy
Sht, my wife plays that stupid fckin game.
Be ready to shoot one through the hoop and she has to stop and go water her melons.
These are not great jobs with any future but 350.00 a week can make the difference between foreclosure or payin rent for a dump.
These potential employers can afford to be picky.
I tried get a job just waiting tables in a coffee shop and their excuse was that I’m overqualified.
I tried to explain that I just want a little supplement for obvious reasons.
Their worry was that I would become discontent too soon.
I dont want to be you’re Maitre D, I dont want management, I dont want to be there 18 hours a day, I dont want 400 in tips in my pocket in Wakiki at 2 AM wearing a tux. Thats a recipe for a fckin disaster. Those days are over
Theres plenty of jobs that will get you bye during these times if you’re willing to humble yourself or sweat. I’ll pick lettuce if I have to.
Some of these pineapple pickers are 80 year old Filipino men who’ll outwork some little snot anyday.
The kids dont want manual labor.
They want to work at the beach rental booths for nothing and look at hooters with headphones
