In Chicago yesterday, protests against the NATO Summit for 2012 turned violent as thousands of protesters clashed with police and security forces near the McCormick Place site. Over the weekend, the FBI arrested three anarchists who were allegedly plotting to bomb a Barack Obama campaign office. Yesterday, 45 people were arrested as demonstrators were forced to back away from the NATO Summit site. More protests are planned for today, including a march on the Boeing headquarters.
The protesters were a mix of many interest groups. Among them were anarchists, anti-war, anti-globalization, anti-capitalists, pro-green jobs, pro-immigration amnesty, and a new bunch, the pro-Robin Hood tax group, who dress in green and wear funny hats from Sherwood Forest. Police were very disciplined in their dealings with the crowds, only arresting those who were quickly identified as being violent. Four police officers were injured as some protesters threw bottles, rocks and even metal barricades.
Meanwhile, inside the multinational conference, leaders of the NATO Alliance discussed a wide variety of issues, such as the future role in Afghanistan and a ballistic missile defense system. One item that was not discussed was the ongoing unrest in Syria, which may threaten the region. Whoever was behind holding the summit in Chicago should have their head examined, since this is turning out to be a big mistake.
So we can expect more protests in Chicago today as the NATO Summit for 2012 wraps up. Thousands of protesters are vowing to march through the streets around the McCormick Place meeting site and may even assault the Boeing Corporation headquarters later today. All in all this is yet another round of egg-in-the-face for Barack Obama, whose failure as a world leader becomes clearer with each passing day. I′m sure the Chicago police, and small business owners in the area, will be happy to see the NATO Summit end and go away.

I love it. I wonder if the those who threaten to blow up Obama campaign headquaters in Chicago, will be sent to Michelle’s food bootcamp, learn to eat correctly, cleanse their bodies and minds and never want to blow up any liberal or socialist headquaters again.

Food bootcamp?
You mean she suggests that the children of America might make better choices.?
I write on obesity and as the CDC states, it is at epidemic proportions among children and obese children are going to be obese adults.
Did you know that the odds of an obese woman becoming diabetic are increased 47 fold? Not double, but 47 times. In other words, it is not if, but when.
And obesity is not being incredibly overweight, in fact, within the next ten years almost 64% of adult Americans will be obese.
It is also one of our best exports. We have been masterful at exporting our fat foods. Obesity is now rampant in North Africa, Europe and even China.
So what has Michelle Obama done wrong? Seemingly, nothing more than broaching the subject. Not demanding, not haranguing, but discussing a true emerging health problem.

You guys kill me when it comes to Michelle Obama.
I can only imagine the headline if she had untertaken the same cause as Laura Bush, that is, helping improve the reading level of children.
“Michelle Obama, Calls Our Children Stupid and is Their Little Eyes”.
If she championed a new vaccine, “Moochelle Wants To Stick Needles in the Arms of Children”.
I realize this is a parisan website, but the targeting of the President’s wife is mind-boggling. Even the Mafia leaves the wives out of it.

Buzz, the Mafia leaves children alone, too. But Liberal-Democrat comedians could not leave wives and children of Conservatives alone. Ann Romney was compared to both Hi!t*r and Sta!in just last week by a ‘journ-o-list’ on MSNBC.
This reminds me of that scene in the classic movie, “The Quiet Man” where John Wayne says “Marquis of Queensberry rules” just as Victor McLaglen sucker punches him in the nose.

The article listed a wide variety of interest groups. I just don’t understand how observers tell those groups apart. In the photos and video I saw they all look alike – basically foolish, misled losers. If they had brains maybe they’d be dangerous. The Robin Hood caps are cute at least they’re not wearing Che Guevara berets.

Buzz, the difference between the two first ladies is that Michelle hates her own country so she will be distrusted when she screws around pretending to care. And, umm, what Micky said…..
