This has been a bad week for Barack Obama. He may have lost the 2012 election thanks to a number of gaffes, errors and just plain wrong-headed policies. The latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll shows Mitt Romney leading Obama in their White House contest 50% to 43%. The poll, taken among likely voters, definitely shows an unfavorable trend developing for Obama. The whole Democrat Party ticket may be in jeopardy thanks to events this past week, particularly their attempt to make same-sex marriage a major issue. The only issues that Americans really care about at the moment are jobs and the economy. Subjects that Obama told an audience in Seattle on Friday that he sometimes ″forgets″ about. The People will not forget as they Remember in November!
The political miscalculation by Barack Obama on the gay marriage issue is just the latest example of a long series of such strategic blunders. Such began even before taking the oath of office, which, by the way, he also goofed at doing. You would think he would have made certain he at least got THAT right!
The North Carolina vote this past Tuesday on an amendment to their state constitution defining marriage as only being between a man and a woman is nothing new. They are the 30th state to adopt such an amendment and are part of 38 states which expressing prohibit same-sex marriage under the law. Whenever The People get a chance to vote on this, the results are always the same, with 60% or more, on average, siding with good, old fashioned, moral virtue.
While Obama′s ′evolution′ towards supporting gay marriage may help him shore up the base of the Far-Left loons, and raise more money from the degenerates of Hollywood, from an electoral viewpoint, the move was suicidal. The politics of confronting over 4,000 years of human history is a tough road to travel. Obama is ill equipped for politics in general, let alone for taking such a stand that has little hope of success.
Of course, the gay marriage issue is really the least of concerns for Barack Obama and his reelection hopes in 2012. The sluggish economy will be the deciding factor, one which he has already lost. His failure is compounded by the unpopularity of his signature legislative piece, the Affordable Health Care Act, also known as Obama-Care. Barely a third of the population thinks its a good plan to give the federal government more power and control over our health and lives in general. Add to this his failures on energy policy, budget policy, foreign policy, regulatory policy, the list goes on, and the picture becomes even bleaker. So Barack Obama may not have lost the 2012 election this past week, but he certainly added another nail to the coffin of his reelection hopes. If the trend of the latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll continues as it has been, by November, Barack Obama will be tossed out of the White House by Mitt Romney and join the ranks of the millions of unemployed Americans he caused. Check out the funny video below of North Koreans crying over Obama losing!

Excuse me, but how do you forget about something you’ve had a “laser like” focus on for the past three years??

@ Monkey
Theres tons of proof that he forgets it.
“How” he forgets is easy. He does have to look at himself once in a while, and think of new apologies or things to blame everyone for

Clearly a bad week. The Newsweek cover is hilarious, particularly for me since I wrote their same story last week.

No one, Romney or Obama won or lost the election this week.
Short of a major scandal, nothing of consequence happened this week to have any significant impact on the election.
Many undecided voters will make up their mind during the debates.
The rest of the electorate has already decided on their candidate.
These are the “dog days” of the election cycle.
The media will invent a story each few days because that is the business they are in, (as is this site) but otherwise this is all part of the normal summer doldrums.
