As the John Edwards trial unfolds, we learn how Andrew Young suggested to Rachel ′Bunny′ Mellon to use her Virginia farm to help provide funds to the candidate. John Edwards knew all along, according to trial witnesses, that the ′Bunny Money′ was to help keep the North Carolina candidate′s girlfriend, Rielle Hunter, quiet. Mellon′s attorney, Alex Forger, apparently knew that checks being made out to interior designer Bryan Huffman for alleged antique furniture was really for John Edwards. Items like a table for $65,000, or another table for $100,000, or a bookcase for $200,000 were just part of the $1 million dollars that Edwards received from Mellon. This is the basis for the trial against John Edwards and his attorney-friend, Fred Baron, who allegedly helped set up the transactions.

If the allegations are true and the trial finds John Edwards guilty, the former ′Brett Girl′ could get 30 years in prison. Oh, what a web we weave! Bunny Mellon was already beginning to smell a rat in 2007, according to testimony the past week. She was apparently upset when hearing how Edwards spent $400 for a haircut. When Andrew Young suggested she take out a mortgage on her farm for $40 Million dollars, needless to say the 97 year old woman had reservations.

Still, you have to wonder why she gave him as much money as she did? Was it just because of his politics? Or perhaps either friendship with his wife or sympathy that Elizabeth Edwards was struggling with cancer? Maybe Bunny Mellon just liked the cut of John Edwards′ jib? There seems little doubt to the old adage about a Liberal fool and his/her money being soon parted. We are watching now as Left-Leaning corporate bigwigs and Hollywood celebrities write large checks to Barack Obama, a man who obviously has done more harm than good to the country.

The lesson here about Rachel Bunny Mellon, her Virginia farm and giving ′Bunny Money′ to John Edwards to hush up Rielle Hunter is simple. Liberal Democrats never tell the truth about anything. The Media helped Edwards team, like Andrew Young, Fred Baron and Bryan Huffman hide the North Carolina candidate’s illicit extra-marital affair. One would think that Mellon′s attorney, Alex Forger, would have been more helpful in stopping his client from giving her money to Edwards. How long will it be before we learn of a similar scandal involving Barack Hussein Obama?
